"This is a very nice hotel located centrally in Luxor and only a very short distance from sites such as Luxor Temple. The room and facilities were lovely, and all the staff members were excellent and could not do enough for you. We love the pool area and the views to the Nile were stunning. Restaurants were good, we tried them all. Superb hotel"

"Environment: Luxor West Bank is very cute and beautiful country villa, like a paradise, not far from the ferry terminal, may be more convenient for self-driving. There are beautiful murals and wall lights in the room Service: The waiters are very enthusiastic, there is an old grandfather who is very good in English, the service is very meticulous and thoughtful, we bought watermelon in the market and he helped us squeeze juice for free. Later, he learned that he had worked in this hotel for 17 years. Hygienic: very clean, the tile floor in the public area is bright and reflective, the sheets in the room are not ball-free, the towels are fluffy and clean, the water is a bit slow, but the impact is not big Very nice hotel, we stayed for a total of four nights, and we can fight for $30 a night with the boss at the front desk. In the chat, I learned that this hotel was originally run by a pair of German wives and Egyptian husbands. In recent years, the boss took over. It is still operating with care. I recommend it to everyone. I also hope that the boss will continue to provide good service."

"My trip to Luxor was fantastic, largely thanks to this hotel. Located on the east bank of the Nile, it's not super close to the city center, requiring a taxi, which contributes to its peaceful ambiance. The hotel itself is a bit dated, but the public areas and gardens are beautifully maintained. The main restaurant and pool face directly onto the Nile, offering stunning views of hot air balloons rising over the West Bank in the mornings and breathtaking Nile sunsets in the evenings. My city-view room had a balcony overlooking the lobby garden. While the room's facilities were quite retro, the lighting dim, and the AC a bit noisy, the bed was large and incredibly comfortable. The bathtub was perfect for a relaxing soak, and bottled water was replenished daily (though you have to ask for toiletries). Overall, the service was excellent. Staff were proactive in helping with luggage, and getting a taxi was incredibly convenient – just register the license plate at the front desk for access through the gate. Finally, a special thank you to Walid. My suitcase was damaged, and Mr. Walid proactively came to my room with tools to help repair it, all while engaging in a friendly chat. His warm and attentive service was deeply appreciated, as was the service from every staff member at Steigenberger. Luxor is a beautiful place. Visiting its magnificent sites and meeting such kind people made me incredibly nostalgic. I will definitely be back."

"Location was great. Luxor temple, the bazaar and good restaurants all in walking distance. Breakfast was the best I've had in Egypt so far. It was nice sitting outside eating and looking at the Nile River. Room was good. I didn't like the hairdryer. It was basically useless as it'd take the entire night to dry your hair. Room was quiet, clean and bed was good. Overall a great stay. Would definitely stay there again."

"The hotel has a small courtyard, garden, swimming pool in the yard, the room is also very large, the garden can be seen on the balcony, and the balcony is very comfortable. Breakfast is a simple continental breakfast configured by the head, which is also ok. The boss will ask you what time to eat tomorrow morning the night before? The restaurant brother will wait at the agreed time. I stayed there for five days. In short, it is not bad, except for the poor Wi-Fi signal, the socket is two round holes, and it is very loose, many can not be used, breakfast is less than European and American cucumber, tomato, others are fine. Outside the courtyard is two worlds. The road at the door is not hardened. It is a main street for a few minutes. There are some snacks, a small fruit shop, and a sugarcane juice is very good. You can go to the pier to take a boat to the east bank, the main center is the east bank. Short stay is not recommended, after all, carrying luggage is quite tossing, time is sufficient, there is not much demand for Wi-Fi. You can rest here!"

"Highly recommend this hidden gem hotel in Luxor! The overall environment is clean and elegant with a super comfortable atmosphere. There are neatly arranged lounge chairs by the outdoor swimming pool, and lying on them to sunbathe in the afternoon is the perfect cure for travel fatigue. The breakfast has a mind - boggling variety of options, with hot dishes, cold cuts, desserts and freshly squeezed juices all available, kick - starting your day full of vitality. Several in - house restaurants are also outstanding, allowing you to enjoy authentic delicacies without leaving the hotel. The room details are well - thought - out. The provided safe allows you to store your personal valuables with peace of mind. The biggest surprise is the bedding—the mattress and pillows are so soft that you won’t want to get up once you lie down. A special shout - out to Yasmin at the front desk! When I arrived at the hotel, it wasn’t yet the check - in time, but she kindly helped me check in early, enabling me to drop my luggage and rest sooner. It was such a thoughtful gesture. It offers great value for money for a one - night stay. You definitely won’t regret choosing to stay here in Luxor. Truly recommended to everyone!"

"I stayed here for two nights during New Year's 2026. It's a lovely hotel with views of the Nile, and the garden with the pool is very relaxing. I had pre-booked a hot air balloon tour through a major website while still in Japan. I woke up at 3 AM and waited in the hotel lobby, but no one came. The hotel manager noticed and, out of kindness, arranged a balloon tour for me through his contacts. I'm so grateful for the manager's thoughtfulness. Thank you very much. This hotel has a wonderful manager!"

"This is a decent, economically priced hotel. The key benefit of this hotel is its location - along the Nile corniche, and walking distance from the Luxor temple, Luxor museum, the ”souq” or tourist / souvenir market, and various shops and restaurants. Rooms are a little dated though very clean. There is also a pool, gym, and spa, all the modern creature comforts you need from a hotel (I did not use these facilities so cannot comment). Staff are generally friendly and ready to help. Breakfast is also very good - a very wide spread with hot foods (think hard boiled eggs, sausages, grilled tomatoes and the likes), a whole selection of pastries which were fresh, an egg station, salad bar, fruits, yoghurt etc. They even start breakfast at 5.30am for those who need an early start touring. No toothbrush/ toothpaste provided (this seems to be the norm in Egypt), no razor available even on request."

EElena!!!We stayed from January 29th to 31st. We were greeted warmly, and the hotel owners were very pleasant and welcoming. They were always helpful and ready to help with any questions we had. The hotel is very conveniently located, 10 minutes from the promenade with restaurants and cafes, and 5 minutes from the shopping street. The hotel itself is located in courtyards, so it's not too noisy. If we return to Luxor, we'll definitely choose this hotel.

GGuest UserThe guesthouse owner provided excellent service and was very helpful in resolving any issues. Even though I was traveling alone as a woman, I felt very safe and secure there. The rooftop offers panoramic views of the Valley of the Kings. I ate breakfast there every morning, which was quite good and filling (it included flatbread, cheese, eggs, tomatoes, cucumbers, hummus, fries, fried beans, and black tea). The location was convenient, and I could easily book a ride using InDrive. There was also a water dispenser in the reception area on the first floor. Overall, the place was quite clean for Egypt, and for the price, it was excellent value.

__CFT010000000799****The room wasn't big; it was a bit cramped for two people with their suitcases. However, the room was clean and cozy, showing that some thought had been put into its design and decor. The staff were also very helpful; they emailed me to ask when I would arrive after I booked the hotel. The restaurant upstairs has a view of the Nile River, and there are also restaurants downstairs, which is very convenient. It's also convenient for visiting various attractions in the Valley of the Kings.

JJeneJAfter the craziness of Cairo it was nice to walk into a place that felt more relaxed and homely. The staff were all very kind. Best part about this place was the food. The cook went above and beyond to cater for us. Very large portions at a reasonable price. Would recommend if you’re after somewhere more budget with a homely feel.

YYiwenjuThe location is excellent, right next to Luxor Temple. The most thoughtful touch was that even though we arrived before check-in time, the front desk quickly checked us in – the only time this happened during our entire trip to Egypt! 👍 All the staff were incredibly warm and friendly, patiently answering all our questions. Thank you so much! If there's anything that could be improved, it would be that the hotel facilities could be updated (for example, the clothes hangers could be replaced with sturdier ones) to enhance the user experience. The following pictures are of the hotel and the street view from our room.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel is about 500 meters from Luxor Temple, making it very convenient for transportation. It's close to attractions on both the East and West Banks. You can take the local Nile ferry between the banks for 25 EGP one way. The East Bank ferry terminal is about 1 km walk from the hotel. The room is quite spacious and kept clean with all the necessary amenities. The area outside the hotel is lively with many dining options. The front desk staff speak English well.

GGuest UserThe room next to the pool is spacious and has dining tables and other facilities. The overall service of the hotel is also good. The location is also OK. There is a Chinese restaurant 10 minutes walk away. The taste is good, the dishes are large and cost-effective. Take a taxi to the Karnak Temple, about 50 pounds. Suggestions for improvement; 1. The shower water flow is small, and it gets cold while washing 2. Some rooms need to be ventilated to keep the air fresh 3. The refrigerator in the large room of 001 needs to be thoroughly cleaned. It is an overlooked corner.

NNiudahongIt costs 50 Egyptian pounds to take a taxi from the train station. It's not bad. It's opposite the Hilton. The hotel staff is quite friendly. The breakfast is simple. It's cost-effective. However, the hot water needs to be left for ten minutes before it is hot. The floor is still not that clean.

放浪旅It's close to the station, but the road to the hotel is not well-maintained (this is true throughout Egypt), so if you have large luggage, it might be better to take a taxi. The hotel will arrange anything, including felucca, balloon, and transfer to the ruins. I had already booked the balloon and transfer to the ruins, so they arranged the felucca, but the time... I think the time was a little early. I came back just as other tourists were going out to the Nile to watch the sunset... To be honest, I think I would have been more satisfied if I had directly negotiated with the boatman along the Nile at the time of the scenery I wanted to see. Hot water came out well and the water pressure was perfect. The only amenities were bar soap. There was no hair dryer in the room. I used one I brought with me, so I'm not sure if I can borrow one from the front desk. There was a bathtub, but it wasn't cleaned. In fact, the drain was clogged from the beginning, and my hair got mixed in, which was awful. The refrigerator was very cold, but I wonder if the air conditioner is controlled by the front desk? It didn't turn on even when I pressed the switch, so I asked the front desk and they turned it on for me. There is an elevator. The clogged bathtub was the worst, but the hotel staff were all so kind (I told them I needed glue and they went out of their way to buy it for me!), and it was the only relief I felt in the rip-off town of Luxor lol. Thank you for your help.
