"Excellent location within the ZLT of the Siena city, the hotel can make sure your license plate is registered on arrival if you need to drive to the hotel so you can avoid the ZLT fines. Hotel also provide onsite parking for €35 per night, otherwise there’s a public car park outside of the ZLT which is about 10mins walk away.
Only within 5-10mins walk of the Piazza del Campo. Only downside for the room was the shower head was a little faulty but was still usable."

"Fantastic stay in Hotel Athena in Siena! They are one of the few hotels that offer free parking within the city walls and outside of the ZTL zone. About 10 mins walk into main town. Definitely took away the headache of the need to look for parking. Also a great base to explore the beautiful Tuscan countryside. Their included buffet breakfast offers a comprehensive spread, tho we wishes that they would change the spread daily! But that's a small issue. They also have a terrace on the 7th floor that looks out to the Tuscan countryside. Wonderful views - check out the attached photo! Overall we definitely recommend this hotel and will be happy to stay here again if we visit again!"

"The hotel is an old cloister and is picturesque, but there is no elevator and carrying suitcases is a bit heavy. The buffet breakfast is quite complete, but poorly organized and they do not replenish what is running out quickly.
The beds are comfortable, but you can hear those in the next room and those in the room above."

The recommendations and the small attention to details were amazing. I walked out with a smile on my face. The location is perfect, parking is convenient and I have zero complaints.

GGuest UserThis hotel is very bad. I booked breakfast with breakfast, but I didn’t give me a breakfast coupon. I went to the designated place to eat breakfast. The restaurant staff said that I needed a breakfast coupon, but the hotel staff did not take the initiative to give it to me. This is very bad. You can't treat guests like this!

GGuest UserStayed for one night in this hotel. The experiences remained the best. The hotel is small, just a few rooms. Located in a very old house. In the historic center of Sienna. The hotel is very atmospheric, comfortable. We had a separate bathroom that was not in the room. It turned out to be not scary and quite comfortable, as the room was next to the room and no one else used it except us. The room and bathroom are very clean, bed linen, towels are wonderful. The very kind hostess of hell who met us told us everything and helped us in all the issues. I definitely recommend this hotel!

KKalim’s worldEveryone will have a dream to live in a palace or a castle at some point. If you want to experience such a dream, it's not a bad choice here. It wouldn't be a problem if you could enjoy the loneliness, despair, and stillness of being alone in a large space. If you can't imagine, imagine sleeping in the middle of the gym overnight. The facilities provide the bare minimum. The beds are not bad, either. But there are not many feelings of living that people can live. It's the biggest regret there. It's easy to go anywhere because it's in the center of major tourist attractions. However, if you don't have enough leg muscles and heart power, you may be afraid to go outside. If you experience your own physical limitations during the day and are thinking of fighting solitude at night, it's not a bad choice.

GGuest UserWe had a great time! As other people have said in their reviews, the breakfast was excellent. The view was great, and we had a delicious meal while watching the sun rise over the Tuscan hills. The staff were all friendly and smiling, so we had a pleasant stay.
You can walk to Piazza del Campo, but it takes about 20 minutes, so it feels a little far.
In terms of facilities, it would be nice if there was a refrigerator and a kettle.
The large bathtub was also very nice.
Still, I wanted to stay another night, and it's a place I'd like to stay at again.

GGuest UserIt should be an ancient building for a while, and the landlord’s own house uses the upper floor as a hotel. There are not many rooms, full of retro style. The facilities are old, the street is a bit noisy, and everything else is fine. The landlord is enthusiastic to help with luggage. It is good to drink tea in the small garden.

Rooms are very simple, but this is a small town and should be expected. Our room had a beautiful view overlooking the old town.

GGuest UserThe best selling point is that it is close to the center of Siena. Please note that you should not arrive late. It took me a while to buy a bus ticket to the center of Siena at the shop at Siena station and find that the bus stop is across the 200m road to the left. It was a short walk from the bus stop in central Siena to the hotel.

AAaron007The hotel is located right in the center and it’s very easy to walk around day and night. I visited in winter and the hotel staff told me where to find free parking outside of the walls. It’s under 15min walk. In Summer probably a nightmare with the car.
Room and bed are spacious, very basic. But I need to mention the breakfast was the WORST I’ve had in my life. Ever! It was some packaged biscuits, a lot of different type of spread, all in individual packaging. The other guest couldn’t even finish his coffee, because it was so bad. It’s better not to have anything.
