"The hotel is an old cloister and is picturesque, but there is no elevator and carrying suitcases is a bit heavy. The buffet breakfast is quite complete, but poorly organized and they do not replenish what is running out quickly. The beds are comfortable, but you can hear those in the next room and those in the room above."

Before I arrived, I thought this hotel was really old-fashioned, but once I got there, I found it's actually a very legitimate 4-star hotel, and the rooms are quite nice. It's also incredibly close to the main attractions; you can even walk to the train or bus station in about 20 minutes."

"The host is very nice. I contacted Trip.com and immediately responded. The hostel was a day in a perfect castle. I admired the interior and gardens that seemed to have traveled to the Middle Ages. "Fantastic stay in Hotel Athena in Siena! They are one of the few hotels that offer free parking within the city walls and outside of the ZTL zone. About 10 mins walk into main town. Definitely took away the headache of the need to look for parking. Also a great base to explore the beautiful Tuscan countryside. Their included buffet breakfast offers a comprehensive spread, tho we wishes that they would change the spread daily! But that's a small issue. They also have a terrace on the 7th floor that looks out to the Tuscan countryside. Wonderful views - check out the attached photo! Overall we definitely recommend this hotel and will be happy to stay here again if we visit again!"

"Excellent location within the ZLT of the Siena city, the hotel can make sure your license plate is registered on arrival if you need to drive to the hotel so you can avoid the ZLT fines. Hotel also provide onsite parking for €35 per night, otherwise there’s a public car park outside of the ZLT which is about 10mins walk away. Only within 5-10mins walk of the Piazza del Campo. Only downside for the room was the shower head was a little faulty but was still usable."

"entrance to the hotel is not clear, the parking space is not paved (it was raining and due that our suitcases and shoes have been totally dirty) room was good and big. shower was not cleaned neatly. the pool is okay the breakfast is like the other comments say. it’s in the cellar, you don’t feel welcome there and it’s not comfy, coffee was good"
