Aomori City Hotels with Wifi

"Whenever I visit Japan, I tend to book a Daiwa Roynet Hotel. Over the past few years, I've traveled to many cities from south to north, and there's almost always a Daiwa Roynet. This particular one is a bit of a walk from Aomori Station, about 7-8 minutes, but it's conveniently located on the main street. We booked a Deluxe Double Room and stayed for 3 nights. The room size was perfect; there was plenty of space near the entrance to open up our large suitcases. It was a corner room, so we even had a window with a sea view. On our second night, we were lucky enough to catch the warm-up fireworks display for the Nebuta Festival right from our hotel room, which was an incredible experience. Another highlight was the massage chair in the room – that was a huge bonus for us! It was easily the most-used amenity during our 4-day stay. Highly recommend! We'll definitely book this hotel again on our next trip to Aomori."

"Breakfast and dinner are divided into Japanese and Western styles. Dinner is very ceremonial, especially French food. The hotel is very close to the ski resort and Suantang Hot Spring, and there is a shuttle bus. The restaurant has a good view. It is very pleasant to sit in the warm restaurant, drink hot coffee, and look at the snow outside."

"This is our second time staying at this hotel in two years. The location is excellent, right above the train station. The facilities are new, clean, and upscale. They also offer laundry service, which is a paid amenity. On the 6th floor, there's a hot spring, as well as private hot spring baths, and various beauty treatments. There's also a lounge where you can enjoy views of Aomori Bay and drink your fill of complimentary apple juice."

"The room was very spacious with three beds and still plenty of room. Breakfast offered some local specialties, though the variety wasn't extensive. It's about a 17-minute walk to the train station, or four bus stops, and a taxi ride takes about 5 minutes and isn't expensive. The staff were all very helpful; if you have any questions, just ask. You can pick up facial cleanser, lotion, and cotton swabs in the hotel lobby, which is very convenient. The New World BBQ restaurant across the street is delicious, and there's a Lawson downstairs and a FamilyMart across the road."

"The hotel is about 600 meters from Aomori Station. It's a bit inconvenient if you're dragging luggage, but it's very close to the product館 (local specialty center). The room rate isn't expensive, though the bathroom facilities are a bit old, and the hot and cold water taps on the sink are separate. The breakfast is decent, but I feel it's not as extensive as it was a year ago. The worst part was the electric kettle in the room. It didn't automatically turn off when the water boiled, so it boiled all my mineral water dry, which was a waste."

"Quiet. Nice staff. Loved having a free water bottle as a gift for not wanting my room to be cleaned every day. Really good location and Lawson on 1F. Key card is the cutest I have ever seen! (Window lower frame could do with some cleaning though and it is a pity window cannot be open to have some fresh air when it is cool outside - beats the sustainable logic behind less cleaning - same goes for the new cup and toothbrush everyday)"

"Here’s a polished Trip.com-style review you can use: ⸻ We stayed at Dormy Inn Aomori in a twin bed room and had a very pleasant experience. We were assigned a high-floor room on the 12th floor with a beautiful ocean view, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The room was spacious, and the beds were large and very comfortable, ensuring a good night’s sleep. The hotel is well-equipped with excellent hot spring facilities, including both indoor and outdoor baths as well as a sauna — a perfect way to relax after a day of exploring Aomori. Hotel breakfast is delicious and many choices. We also appreciated the practical amenities provided. The laundry machines are free to use, with a 30-minute wash cycle. The dryer costs only 100 yen for 20 minutes, which is very convenient for longer stays. The room also features a large, modern TV, and the hair dryer provided is a premium Refa brand, which was a nice touch. Overall, a very comfortable and convenient stay with great onsen facilities and thoughtful amenities. Would definitely recommend for anyone visiting Aomori."

"Even though the hotel is always from Aomori Station, bit it is easy to get any places in the city as the bus stops are a few walk from the hotel. The free breakfast was good. A special treatment from this hotel was the free alcohol drinks provided in the evening. It was a great chance to taste various of drinks :)"

"We were two people. The room we stayed at was not big. If you have two suitcases it will be hard to open up both of them at the same time. We didn’t have suitcases, and therefore the space was not a problem for us. The staff were very friendly, polite and helpful. I lost my gloves at a bus, and they helped me to get them back. You also got apple juice as a welcome drink at the front desk (very nice apple juice!). We used baggage storage after checking out, which was no problem. The room was very clean. When we were there they had an eco plan, which was that the room got cleaned only once at our 4 night stay, but could get towels whenever we wanted. We though it was good from the environment perspective (but we decided to not have any cleaning at all). Overall I though our stay at this hotel was very good."

"We stayed for 5 nights and were very satisfied with the value for money. We experienced the family bath and hot springs, and booked two rooms that included breakfast and dinner. We enjoyed delicious Japanese food every day. The problem arose on the last day during breakfast. About 10 minutes before the 9 AM closing time, my mother, trying to be considerate of the restaurant staff, poured her remaining coffee into a paper cup, intending for our family of four to clear our dishes and leave. At that moment, an old man, leaning with both hands on the kitchen counter, loudly shouted something unintelligible at us. Our entire family was startled, confused, and didn't understand what he was saying. As foreigners who don't speak Japanese, we couldn't comprehend him. After hearing him repeatedly shout loudly, we guessed we should pour the coffee back into the cup and left. Other guests were present, and this experience was the worst, ruining our family's impression of Japan. Shortly after, we tried to ask the old man about it, but he pretended not to understand English and avoided conversation, retreating into the kitchen. If there's a communication barrier, they should use a friendly translation app or clearly guide guests with actions instead of a kitchen staff member standing like a king with arms outstretched, shouting. Also, it was uncomfortable to have restaurant staff constantly watching how many plates people took, probably because individual dishes were served one by one. It's been a while since our trip ended, but that incident still pops into my mind. My family also talks about it. I hope they don't ruin tourists' enjoyable trips with rigid and inappropriate behavior. We felt disrespected as foreigners. I briefly explained this to the front desk using a translator, and a female staff member repeatedly offered polite apologies. Due to our departure schedule, we couldn't speak with the old man again or receive an apology, which is probably why we won't be returning to Japan."
