A hot spring ryokan with the atmosphere of the Kaga area, overlooking the Kakusenkei Gorge, the most beautiful valley in the Hokuriku region. Featured in the Michelin Guide, our ryokan offers a taste of the culture and history of Kaga, an old castle town that produced one million koku of rice, with nightly performances of traditional Yamanaka-bushi songs and dances and an interior that incorporates traditional crafts such as Kaga Yuzen dyeing, Yamanaka lacquerware, Kutani pottery, and Kaga mizuhiki decoration. Complimentary services such as homemade pancakes, Kaga pudding, coffee, Kaga stem tea, beer after bathing, carefully selected colorful yukata, and a private bath will add color to your stay. At Kissho Spa, one of the largest spas in the Hokuriku region, you can enjoy an elegant moment with treatments using local ingredients such as gold and silver leaf. For dinner, enjoy a kaiseki cuisine or teppanyaki course with seasonal ingredients served in Kutani ware or Yamanaka lacquerware dishes. You will be satisfied with freshly fried tempura and traditional Kaga cuisine with fresh seafood from the Sea of Japan such as snow crab, sweet shrimp, rosy sea bass, and Kaga vegetables, along with carefully selected local sake. Our shop offers a wide range of popular souvenirs. Kissho Yamanaka also offers special services for guests staying consecutive nights as well as for guests celebrating anniversaries such as birthdays and wedding anniversaries. We promise you a stay immersed in hot spring and Japanese style, with beautiful mountain stream views from the guest rooms, lobby lounge, and outdoor baths, and a rich natural environment that changes with the seasons, such as cherry blossoms, fresh green, moon viewing, autumn leaves, and snow-covered winter scenery. We offer a free shuttle service with 11 daily departures, which takes about 20 minutes from Kaga Onsen Station on the Hokuriku Shinkansen Line and 30 minutes from Komatsu Airport. You can also take a local bus from the nearby bus terminal to Eiheiji Temple, the famous main temple of the Zen sect (about 50 minutes).

"The quality of the service was excellent. I was also surprised that they provided a shuttle service to the nearby station and even took me to Komatsu Airport. I felt bad that I was there alone. The pancakes were delicious, and the food and bath were both great. I would definitely like to come back in the fall when the leaves change color."

"Traveling solo, I splurged on a Japanese-style room that could probably fit four people. It's an older ryokan, but that didn't really detract from the experience. The only thing was that during the off-season, the in-house restaurant for dinner was closed, so I had to buy food from a convenience store and bring it back. Regarding the service, the shuttle driver was incredibly diligent and responsible, even waiting for me at the station for 2-3 minutes – I'm very grateful for that 🙏. In contrast, the two front desk staff (they were clearly not Japanese, probably Indian or Southeast Asian) were the most unprofessional hotel employees I've ever encountered: in the morning, when I greeted them, there was no reply; later, when I walked in from outside the hotel, they were loudly chatting and laughing. I've been to Japan so many times and stayed at so many hotels, but I've never experienced anything like this before."

Our quiet inn is hidden, secluded away in the woods. Begin your journey with us.

"Our stay in Morino Sumika was wonderful. This hotel is probably one the best Hotel (Ryokan) We’ve ever stayed in Japan. We are so impressed with their service. The staffs are polite and responsive even though language barrier. We stayed in a room with open air bath type with balcony looking at the slope garden and hotel itself. The architecture is stunningly beautiful. Room are spacious and bigger than we had expected. The room layout is great. We are so amazed with the hotel facility and everything in the hotel that we want to spend much more time at the hotel rather than going out. The hotel is about 5 km away from Kagaonsen Station in the area called Yamashiro Onsen. They offer shuttle service which we contact them via email. Yamashiro Onsen is very nice and calm. FYI… Kagaonsen Station is 20 minutes travel from Kanazawa by Hokuriku Shinkansen… very convenience.."

"Kishotei Inn is located in the Yamanaka Onsen Street. There is a hotel shuttle bus from the south exit parking lot of Kaga Onsen JR Station that can pick you up at scheduled times. You need to reserve a time in advance. Just use your email address. The pick-up and drop-off staff are very friendly and the hotel service is better. It is in place, and the period architecture adds to the Japanese style of the hot spring hotel. It has a clean and hygienic environment, rich breakfast and dinner, considerate hot tea and snacks in the lobby, and a beautiful open-air hot spring and scenery near the stream on the first floor. There is also a hotel next to the hotel. There are Hexianxi Trail and Hot Spring Street Town, both of which are refreshing and relaxing hot spring tours. It is highly recommended and I will definitely go there again if I have the opportunity."

"It is one of the biggest ryokans we have visited with a lot of amenities. Guests are mostly Japanese..giving a family/retirement village vibes. Our room came with breakfast and dinner plan - food was delicious and very fresh! One thing to note when booking on Trip is that there are many room types available, but the pictures shown are not accurate!! When I booked my room, the pictures showed an in-room onsen tub-lookalike..and the room descriptions seem to support it too, along with the price. However, when I arrived, the room I was given was not like the pics at all..with no private tub/onsen in the room. We really wanted a private onsen to end our trip on a high, but we were left disappointed. Could not help but feel slightly cheated. We wanted to pay for an upgrade,to get one with in-room onsen but were told all were fully booked.:( so be careful when booking your desired room type."

"The newly opened hotel after refurbishment, so it looks very new, the hot springs are very interesting, the outdoor hot springs are for mixed men and women, and there are many small pools. Dinner was very good, breakfast was too Japanese and I was a bit unaccustomed to Japanese pickles. We also ran into a female manager this time, who was a Chinese. She enthusiastically escorted us to the station and explained to the bus driver our need to go to Yongping Temple temporarily. The hotel is very close to Hexian River."

"Almost everything was in tip top condition including our requests for a vegetarian dunner and breakfast for one of our friends. Perhaps a hostess more fluent in english would have been helpful but anyway she was most gracious, attentive and courteous. The amenities, food and service were really great!"

GGuest UserThis hotel is absolutely fantastic! It's new, modern, and pays attention to every little detail. The room was wonderful, with incredibly comfortable futons and duvets. The onsen is marvelous, featuring an outdoor area, stones, wood, a sauna, a cold plunge bath, and all sorts of thoughtful touches – truly an unbeatable experience. Dinner and breakfast are served buffet-style with a wide variety of Japanese and Western food. There's also a game room, perfect for having some fun and laughs. It's a very peaceful and welcoming place. The only minor drawback was the bathroom in the room, which was quite dated and didn't match the rest of the hotel's modern feel. But honestly, that was a very small detail. I highly recommend it for a rejuvenating stay.

SSeedlingsKAI Kaga inherited hundreds of years of hot spring inns and used new modern models to attract tourists in the hope of driving crowds to the hot springs in nearby districts. However, it turns out that the surrounding area is very deserted. Except for KAI Kaga, which is fully booked on weekends, there are almost no crowds. The surrounding shops are either closed or on the way to closing, and the nearby shrines specially marked as tourist attractions are also deserted. The hotel itself, the rooms, the hot springs, the facilities and the food are all average, but it is really not worth the price (it may also be that there are more people on weekends and the price is higher). The high unit price will easily make people look at the small details through a magnifying glass, and they will find that many small areas need to be strengthened. Another drawback is that there is no shuttle service from the station to the hotel (other lower-priced hotels nearby offer that). If you don't happen to pass by and want to take a hot spring bath, it is not recommended to come here specifically. In the end, I didn't give a bad review because the service staff were relatively young and had a good attitude. Xingye has its own set of training for its employees.

AAngelKwanI am a self-driving tour (Jinyu Dongxunfang - London He Midway Hotel chooses parking) without thinking about transportation (the hotel has a special car to pick up and drop off from Kaga), the Wendian is very well maintained, it is a designated sightseeing hot spring franchise hotel in Japan, hot spring water is good, there is a public bath (is hot spring water), There are three private soups, which need to be paid at night (the appointment is free in the morning), I am very satisfied with the morning and evening, I have the largest room (there is a large hall), there is a reception welcome drink, there is any tea, there is a snow strip after bathing, there is a morning coffee, the focus is not expensive. When leaving, the reception staff will bow and wave goodbye. It is a traditional Japanese hotel and is the choice of Japanese tourist resort hotels.

GGuest UserThis Japanese-style hot spring hotel is fully equipped and the lobby is quite luxuriously decorated. We arrived early and enjoyed free afternoon tea and foot soup first. At three o'clock, a waiter in a kimono guided us to the door of the room, which was very intimate. After the bath, we had dinner on the 2nd floor of the hotel at the time we had booked in advance. The dinner was a standard kaiseki dish and was very hearty. Each family had their own private dining space and was equipped with a dedicated full service. At 9 pm, the hotel arranged a local Taigu performance in Kaga for the guests, which was very special. The whole experience was very satisfying.

GGuest UserBeautiful hotel on a beautiful river. Large georgeous room. For Japanese standards the service was just ok. Much nicer greeting upon arrival. Was left to drag my suitcases out the door with a wonderful old lady trying to help me. Of course I could not allow her to lift the heavy bags. All the other people were not available to help or see me out. Extremely rude by Japanese standards. Coffee at breakfast I was told to get at the coffee machine. Substandard for the class of hotel.

GGuest UserI booked four sets of rooms for one night. I didn’t expect the four sets of rooms that had been paid on the program. After arriving at the hotel, the hotel asked me to pay the full amount of the four suites, but the hotel waiter’s English level was very poor. I disturbed for an hour in speechlessness. Later, I learned that the payment on the program was originally a deposit. God! For such a simple matter, the hotel waiter clearly told me that the payment you paid on the program was all a deposit. Why do you say that we didn't pay? I was late to the hotel this day, so I was delayed for another hour, and we had no time to enjoy the hotel facilities. I hope that the platform and the hotel will communicate better in the future to avoid this situation. This time it really brought me inconvenience. Except for this hotel, the whole is very good.

ボブNormally, white rice at a travel destination is delicious, but is white rice old rice? It was as bad as I thought. I thought the white rice in the morning was leftovers from last night. The food tasted good, but it didn't seem like they used high quality ingredients. The hotel was beautiful. bath was good I think everything was good except rice
