Outstanding
The location is excellent, right across from Gu Zong Tang. The hotel is a century-old establishment with newly renovated, comfortable rooms and fresh ingredients. During crab season, you can also enjoy fresh and delicious Ganeng crab (the room rate is approximately ¥170,000 per night with two meals, excluding the full crab banquet; the restaurant later offered the full crab banquet for an additional ¥22,000 per person). Although the price is a bit high, it is still worth a try, and I will go again next time!

NNuonuokafeiHuazi is about a 25-minute drive from Kaga Onsen Station. The hotel will send an email to inquire about the arrival time and provide free pick-up. My last hotel was Jixiangting, which is a 5-minute walk away. I wandered around Yamanaka Onsen from the time I checked out at 11am to the time I checked in at 2pm. April 6th was the season when cherry blossoms and camellias were in full bloom, so there were very few tourists. Residents and children greeted me warmly when they saw me. This place is not as busy as Yamashiro Onsen, and there is not much business. There is a wood and lacquerware exhibition hall where you can visit and shop, and the prices are reasonable. Hua Zi has a minimalist style and the amenities are also minimalist. There is nothing simpler than it at this price. Two bottles of water, a bag of tea and a bag of coffee, only a small sample of treatment, and a welcome tea when checking in, this is all you can get for free. No 24 hour tea and coffee at Kissing Pavilion, no happy hour, no muffins, puddings, no morning snacks (not bad quality, not shoddy), no geisha shows, none of that. Different styles are understandable. There were staff members waiting for guests at the service door. When the shuttle bus left, four staff members bowed and waved for at least two minutes. When I checked in, the staff brought out an iPad to show the Japanese and Western-style rooms with baths, which could be upgraded for a fee. I booked a basic Japanese-style room. I have stayed in more than a hundred hotels in Japan, and only three of them recommended paid room upgrades during check-in: Kyoto Okura Bettei, Hyatt Regency Okinawa, and this one. The first two said that upgrading would provide better service, and asked if I needed it. This hotel asked directly, I didn’t upgrade. First, I wanted to stay and I booked it directly. Second, if I wanted to upgrade, I would ask you. The Japanese-Western style is indeed very high-end, as you don’t have to sleep on the floor. Later I thought it would be a good idea to upgrade, which would cost nearly a thousand dollars more. The staff member took the timetable of Kaga Onsen Station and asked about the drop-off time. I said please call a taxi for me to the next hotel, the time is tomorrow at 11 o'clock and the name of the next hotel. The hotel understood what I said, and she got stuck. She called someone who seemed to be making tea and asked me in a stiff manner where I was from. Then the translator asked me if I took an Uber myself? I don't understand why I say ”by myself” when I type it myself. I arrived on time at 6 o'clock for the dinner appointment. The rhythm was not good, and I had to wait for two to be served at the same time. The dishes were seasoned with high-level flavors but a little simple. I ordered a Western breakfast, which was very delicious, first-class standard, and the service was even more enthusiastic. All facilities have been renovated and are very neat and clean, but the air conditioning is loud and ineffective. Japanese style windows for light transmission, wear eye mask and ear plugs to sleep. Those who like Shinichiro Ogata's style can move in. The aesthetics are very high-end.

DDashutuziPerfect for a stay and two meals. The hotel's aesthetics are online, the traditional and exquisite interior decoration and the very clean and comfortable private hot spring bath allowed us to have a good rest on the last day of this trip. The Japanese dinner was freshly seasoned and very tasty. I was informed at the last minute that I couldn't eat fish, and I was very considerate enough to change the menu. In addition, the soul of a traditional Japanese hotel is definitely the female general. The two female generals are elegant, talkative, and very approachable. Awesome experience!

__Miss_Koo_The hotel offers a free shuttle bus to Kaga Onsen Station, a 20-minute ride away. Pick-up times are between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM, and drop-off times are between 9:00 AM and 12:00 AM (I might be mistaken). It runs every hour, and you can ask Ctrip customer service for reservations. This is the hotel I chose after much deliberation. It has its own private bath in each room, as well as four free private baths with scheduled times and a paid sauna. The rooms are spacious, and the hotel is right by Tsurusen Creek, but it rained both days we were there, preventing us from taking a stroll. As for food, aside from the set main courses (black throat fish, sashimi, and beef sukiyaki), all the side dishes are self-service, which certainly saves on food, but the experience isn't as good. My parents loved it, but it's a shame we didn't have a lot of fun.

Although it was a short notice reservation, they were happy to accommodate. The room was spacious and comfortable. The Japanese-style room was relaxing. The bath was also clean and relaxing. The open-air bath along the mountain stream requires you to descend quite a few steps along the slope, then climb back up after bathing, making it a good workout. It's a great place to go and have something to talk about.

GGinvinAlthough the location is a bit remote, the bathroom and toilet in the room have no heating and are very cold. However, breakfast and dinner are extremely rich. And the hot spring view on the rooftop on the 13th floor is worth the price of admission.
