"Hotel Mt Fuji has the best views of Lake Yamanaka and Mt Fuji. It is located high up on a hill and looks down over the lake. Shuttle bus service to and from Yamamakako iriguchi was excellent. The staff in 7 eleven kindly called for me to be picked up on arrival and again on the second day of my stay. The breakfast was the best in the past 2  weeks of my trip. Japanese breakfast is so delicious. The omelette chef was such a perfectionist and each was made perfectly. Staff were particularly helpful and the public baths , there are 2 different locations ,are excellent, both very different. The hotel itself is very old and dated and could do with a renovation. However saying that, the room was very spacious and comfortable. I loved being able to open the window which had an insect screen and have fresh air. The only thing I did not like is that you could not wear your yukata to breakfast. No big deal really. I would highly recommend Hotel Mt Fuji."

If you are searching for a place where serenity, cleanliness, and genuine Japanese hospitality collide, stop looking — this is it. The Room & Amenities From the moment we stepped inside, we were blown away by how impeccably clean everything was. I mean spotless. The room itself is wonderfully spacious, giving us plenty of room to unwind after long days of exploring. But the real showstopper? The private hot bath. Soaking in steaming hot water while gazing out at Mt. Fuji from the comfort of our room was nothing short of therapeutic. And then there is the balcony. Waking up each morning to a full, unobstructed view of Mt. Fuji right from our private terrace felt like a privilege I never wanted to end. Whether it was sunrise painting the peak in soft pink or the mountain standing bold against a clear blue sky, the view alone made every yen worth it. The Host — Above and Beyond The owner is one of those rare people who makes you feel like family from day one. Warm, attentive, and endlessly kind, he ensured our stay was seamless. But what happened on our last day truly sealed this experience as unforgettable. While we were waiting for our bus back to Yokohama, he volunteered to drive us to Yamanakako Myojinyama Panoramadai. I cannot put into words how breathtaking that spot was — a sweeping panorama of Yamanaka Lake shimmering below with the majestic Mt. Fuji rising proudly in the background. It was the kind of view that makes you stop breathing for a second. That he took time out of his day to gift us that moment speaks volumes about the heart behind this villa. Final Thoughts Reitoku Fuji Lakeside Villa is not just accommodation — it is an experience. Clean, comfortable, spacious, and run by someone who genuinely cares about his guests. We will definitely be coming back, and I cannot recommend it highly enough to anyone looking for the ultimate Fuji getaway. Thank you for the memories, Reitoku. See you again soon."

"It's has very cosy feel local Japanese Ryokan(BB) style and we love it. Not luxury,not to expensive but suitable if you looking for Ryokan in Fuji Mt. area. Included nice easy breakfast,not big for Americans but it's delicious. The location is not recommend for walking to, if you drive a car it will be perfect (free parking) Some may say it looks old, but to me I would say it looks vintage and classic you couldn't find in the city. *Only 10mins drive to famous cafe”paper moon”"

"Hotel Room: Features a built-in sauna, and offers stunning views of Mount Fuji directly from the room. Fuji appears incredibly large and close to the naked eye. The room decor is very tasteful. Hotel Location: Situated on the lower-left side of Lake Yamanakako on the map. There's a bus stop right outside (though buses are infrequent). Within a 2-minute walk, there's a delicious hamburg steak restaurant. A 7-Eleven is about 5-10 minutes away, and you can rent bicycles near the 7-Eleven (the hotel also offers bike rentals, but they are mountain bikes, not electric, costing 2000 yen per hour or 4000 yen per day). If you walk another 10-15 minutes, you can feed swans in a designated area managed by locals (a family of three needs to buy one portion of swan food for 200 yen). Cycling: From the hotel, it takes about 30-50 minutes to cycle to Hirano no Hama (there are many great photo spots along the way, so you don't necessarily have to go all the way to Hirano no Hama, where the wind is incredibly strong). I recommend cycling clockwise on the map and then returning the same way."

"I stayed in a standard room with a Mount Fuji view this time, and it was much more comfortable than I expected. The room size is quite spacious for Japan, the cleanliness was good, and the bed was comfortable. When the weather is clear, you can see Mount Fuji directly from the window, and drawing open the curtains in the morning was truly worth it. The location is also convenient for getting around Lake Yamanaka, and there are self-service electric-assist bicycles at the hotel entrance, with Chinese language support, which is very handy. Communication with the front desk was smooth, and the check-in process was hassle-free. It's perfect for those who want to quietly admire Mount Fuji."

"The hotel has an onsite outdoor and indoor Onsen. Our room is 25sq m and spacious. The layout of the room is separated into sleeping area and entrance with basic amenities. This hotel is supposed to be able to view the beautiful Mr Fuji but because it has been raining and cloudy the past few days, we were not able to see Mt Fuji from this hotel but our room faces the great ocean and that was good. The breakfast spread was great with a wide spread of many varieties.  I was hoping for a late night snack of Hot ramen soup as with many Japanese hotels with Onsen but sadly this hotel don’t provide this service."

"1. The hotel is very close to Mount Fuji, and you can walk to Lake Yamanaka. It's right next to the amphibious bus station. 2. The environment is excellent, surrounded by lush greenery and a pleasant ecosystem. Just stepping out of the hotel at 7 AM, I was greeted by three relaxed sika deer. 3. The owner speaks Chinese, making communication smooth and hassle-free throughout our stay. 4. The hotel facilities are basic, but the rooms are quite spacious. For our family of four, the owner gave us a tatami family room, which was very roomy even for four people."

"We loved the room and it was very big and comfortable and the mattress was excellent. The hotel is very clean and friendly. Service is very good and especially to the front desk executive  Mr Yuta. And most importantly the aircon and the heater which is very important as the temperature was -10c. And free parking very important if you drive."

"This stay at the onsen hotel at the foot of Mount Fuji truly exceeded my expectations. Waking up and drawing the curtains, I was greeted by the serene sight of Mount Fuji, shrouded in mist – it was like a beautiful painting. The room was clean and comfortable, instantly putting me at ease. My favorite part was definitely the onsen; soaking in the hot springs while gazing at Mount Fuji really made time feel like it slowed down. The staff were incredibly thoughtful and provided attentive service. Overall, it was a very rejuvenating experience, and I'll definitely be back."
