"Its more of a building apartment that serves both long term residents and act like a hotel on the side than a traditional hotel, this means that you get to wait for the 2 slow lift with other residents. Receptionist is in the minimart beside the lift lobby which surprisingly isn't that overpriced, similar prices to other convenience store in the city. For the room itself, its quite aged and the room seems much smaller than advertised, the bed is the hardest mattress that i slept on, it doesn't even bounce when i jumped on it. I can count with 1 hand the amount of times i seen insects in the room. The river view is fine. There's no phone to call but seems like you contact receptionist using whatsapp or wechat, the notebook in the room also shows room service (also very surprisingly not overpriced) and items you can buy from the minimart (not sure whether they will deliver up the room) but i did not try any of it. The water heater was fixed after informing the receptionist and they also let my kept my bags after i checked out, giving few hours to explore the city before i head off to the airport, which is also nice. Location of the hotel isn't too bad, with plenty of restaurants and market nearby, 1km walk from the nightlife area."

"The check in was swift. Price is very affordable considering you get kettle, toiletries, soap and shampoo... Only that tv not working [i dont really watch, so i dont mind] and there's no ironing service available.Picked up laundry is avaiable. Walking distance to Orrusey Market and street market in the morning... plenty of local stuff, foodies and fruits. I walked to Jamei Mosque, Royal Palace and Wat Botum Park in the morning..it was amazing meeting the locals. Pharmacies, convieent stores all within reach easily.. i definitely revisit..."

"Pros that make me want to come back: 1. The biggest asset of this hotel, in my opinion, is the staff's politeness and loyalty. By this criterion, this hotel is the best I've stayed at so far. If you're traveling with kids, you'll really appreciate it. 2. They have rooms with both a large and a regular bed in one room for a reasonable price, which is convenient if you're planning a stay with children. 3. The breakfasts are hearty, and the coffee is delicious. There's a promenade nearby, so there's a good place to walk around with kids. Minor annoyances I'm willing to overlook: 1. The pool water is cold, despite the hot weather. 2. The waterfall shower head (see pool photos) is always turned off, so you can only dream about it. 3. The wake-up call can be late by about 50 minutes (that's what happened to us). 4. The latches on the balcony and bathroom doors didn't work, at least not in the room on the 8th floor. 5. There are several restaurants within walking distance of the hotel where you could have lunch, if it weren't for the 'samovar' function, where guests are expected to cook for themselves. It's fun once, but then it gets tiring. However, tuk-tuks can solve this problem in a flash... for a fee. Overall, I confidently recommend it; it's perfect for a couple of nights!"

"Perfectly sufficient for a two-day stay. The room was great with a magnificent view. The swimming pool was excellent for swimming, I'd say it was easily 25m long. The fitness studio was outstanding for a hotel. So, if you want to get some exercise, I can say the facilities are perfect. Breakfast can be ordered via QR code for the next day, time-slot wise. It's generally okay, but of course, not comparable to a buffet, it's just one plate. The only thing that was a bit annoying, but not necessarily a problem for me, was that the key card had to be reactivated every day. I don't know if that's always the case, but I don't think so. The surrounding area has many small restaurants and shops (Chinese)."

The location was strategic, room was clean and just enough. The breakfast was good, one thing downside is the view of my room are not ok. And during heavy rain pour, it clearly can hear the rain drop on metal sheet roofing.

Hotel KVL is a solid city base in Phnom Penh with a good location and views over the Mekong River. It’s close to the main bar area and a weekend street market, but that also means the road in front is closed from around 4:30 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, so it’s worth checking how that might affect your arrival or departure. Make sure you get the exact room type you booked, as there can be discrepancies, and note that the water pressure is on the weaker side, though everything else in the room works well. Breakfast is decent with enough variety, and overall the hotel offers a nice urban contrast to the resort feel of the Park Hyatt in Siem Reap.

A magnificent hotel! Everything was perfect! Superb location and wonderfully attentive service. We requested an early check-in the day before, and the esteemed Mr. Sovanvitou EA kindly replied that he would assist us if the hotel's availability allowed. The hotel is very modern, design-forward, and functional. Everything is catered for guests, and everything works and adjusts perfectly: the air conditioning, the water, and there's even a place to dry clothes. The pillows, mattress, and duvet are perfect, making for a very comfortable stay. The cleanliness is impeccable. Our flight was canceled, so we checked out and were sitting in the lobby booking new flight tickets. The hotel staff asked if we needed any help, brought us water, and said we could use the shower for free if needed, even though we hadn't asked for anything. The staff repeatedly offered their help and care, which was truly wonderful.

Our originally booked room would have been on the 9th floor, right below the pool and bar. We requested a different one. It wasn't the same category, but it was okay. The bed was a bit too soft and the pillows too thick. You can't please everyone, I guess. The bathroom was very small, but the shower had good water pressure and was hot. The breakfast area/cafe was far too small for so many guests, and it was too hot to sit outside. Breakfast was mediocre but sufficient. The location was superb. Very quiet on a side street, yet right in the heart of things. However, we had the bad luck of construction happening at the temple across the street. You should avoid that side of the hotel. The rooftop pool area is nice. The view over the city and the skyline, however, is sensational. Overall, the stay was good. We would gladly come back.

This is our go-to hotel every year. It has that old-world Cambodian charm, and I love that it's so reasonably priced. The hot water works perfectly, and cleanliness is never an issue. There's a cheap laundry service nearby that even offers same-day delivery, which is a huge help. Breakfast from the restaurant with a great view is always a highlight, with plenty of variety to choose from.

Despite arriving close to midnight, I was able to check in. The staff were attentive and the hotel was more than adequate. It's a great base hotel for sightseeing, especially if you're using a motorcycle navigation app. Be aware that for rooms on the 5th floor, you'll need to take the elevator to the 4th floor and then use the stairs. The steps are quite steep, so be careful if you have large luggage! For someone like me who prioritizes value for money when choosing hotels abroad and is willing to overlook minor inconveniences, this hotel was perfectly satisfying!

Pool is not so clean, Trash aren’t pick up. staff are good and friendly. they have free laundry but the next problem is how to get it dry. i booked for 9nights and just stayed for 4nights. i asked them to help me have a refund for the remaining 5nights. but they kept on telling me they can’t do anything and won’t do a refund. well ofcourse they can if they only want but they take advantage in your change of plans. real PET FRIENDLY
