Koh Chang Hotels with Wifi

"Coming from a stay at Dinso, I have to say KC really doesn't measure up. The overall footprint is similar, but the bathroom is incredibly cramped and uncomfortable. The bathtub on the balcony feels awkward and exposed. Breakfast was decent, roughly on par with Dinso, but a few details were lacking. So, aside from the beach, KC really falls short compared to Dinso. KC has a common layout for hotels on Koh Chang, with one section by the beach and another across the road up on the hill. They claim to have four pools, but in reality, besides the main pool, there's only one other usable pool on the hill. The hotel property is large enough, but there's not much to explore or enjoy."

"Great place to stay have wanted to stay here on our last two visits to Kho Chang but it’s been to expensive or full we were lucky enough this time to get in for a reasonable price be it for only two nights. First night we had a problem with the air con not putting out cold air we had it set to 16 to try and cool the room but had to sleep outside the covers as it was so hot, told reception next morning they had Someone come out and fix second night it worked fine Location is great although white sand area has been hit hard with Covid, lots of empty bars and shops, it is also out of season which doesn’t help (June) we didn’t eat or drink here as it is over priced compared to other places we used on white sand Will defiantly stay here again"

"This was an amazing hotel, very clean, and well maintained. The room was very spacious and cleaned daily with fresh towels. The pool was fantastic with plenty of sunbeds as was the beach area. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice and nice coffee. The staff were very nice and attentive, they couldn't do enough for you. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who visits Kho Chang."

"We've stayed at this hotel many times before, but this time, for a special occasion, we decided to splurge on a luxury experience and booked a private villa with its own pool. That turned out to be a huge mistake. While we've always liked it in the past, there was so much we didn't like this time. All the furniture is old, and I mean *old*. There's a bathtub with a jacuzzi, but no hot water. There's a pool, but it's dirty and nobody cleans it properly; the bottom is absolutely disgusting. The pool area sometimes wasn't cleaned at all, and other times it was cleaned very poorly. On our last day, some filter in the pool turned on, which kept us awake almost all night. Not to mention the non-working lights and mood lighting around the pool area and in the hotel itself. There used to be a proper air conditioning system, but that's also broken; now there's just a weak, regular AC unit. The villa roof is broken and caved in in some places. You can get much better rooms at this hotel for less money, so think twice before choosing what's supposed to be the 'best' accommodation. The beach, as always, is excellent, with its own music and a DJ. Breakfast gets a solid four out of five."

"The hotel grounds are amazing, full of wildlife and nature (no spiders or snakes though). Breakfast was really good and had a great variety. The beach water was clean and the pools were nice. The biggest downside was the terrible soundproofing in the sea-view rooms on the hillside. We could clearly hear our neighbors talking and playing music all night. We called the reception several times, but nothing changed. In the end we just had to wait until they finished partying and went to sleep. The rooms are also a bit worn out. Some mold in places and the plumbing feels outdated. Location-wise, it’s quite inconvenient without a bike or car. The hotel shuttle runs rarely, and every ride to town on a songthaew costs about 50–70 baht per person, which becomes 2–3 times more expensive in the evening."

"The hotel is old but in a very good condition. Service is very welcoming and with a incredibly high level of English language proficiency. Location is rather quiet (there’s a shuttle but you better set with your car or bike) but with a great beach. Good food at the dinner restaurant and plentiful breakfast. Sand fleas is an issue. We’ve got some bites. Good value for money."

"We had an unfortunate experience at the Centara Koh Chang Tropicana Resort. Upon returning to our room, we discovered that a chargeable can of soda was missing from the mini-fridge, along with three towels. Luckily, we noticed it in time and informed the front desk. Otherwise, it would have been difficult to clarify the situation during check-out. It would have caused a lot of trouble if they found missing items after we'd checked out, despite us stating we hadn't consumed anything. We later saw reviews for several other hotels where some guests had similar experiences. We were fortunate to have noticed it early and avoided being wrongly accused. The garden rooms at Centara are very far from the beach. The beach itself is small, and the seabed is rocky and uncomfortable to walk on. The beach chairs are often fully occupied. The hotel's price-to-value ratio is very low and doesn't meet the expectations for a beach holiday. The mysteriously missing soda and towels only make us question the hotel's management and service quality even further. If you absolutely must stay here, I strongly advise everyone to thoroughly check all chargeable items in your room upon arrival, preferably taking photos for confirmation. Also, take videos or photos when you check out. Always lock your luggage when you leave the room, and when you return, double-check that all chargeable items are still present to avoid any issues."

"Koh Chang Cliff Beach Resort I stayed in a room with a private pool. A little splurge on myself! It was so fun to have my own pool, to wake up in the morning and just jump into the water for a little cooling off. I could lay on the recliner and read to my heart’s content with no distractions, feet in the water. Morning breakfasts are fantastic and the beach view is amazing! Staff are friendly and helpful. What to know?: it’s the “Cliff Beach Resort”, which means your on a hill… which means climbing. It’SA steep walk from room to beach, but a great opportunity to get your blood flowing. Embrace it. Room for growth: the bedding smelled a bit sour. It’s wet here, so making sure things dry properly is a challenge. My greatest complaint about the room is that there was a ladder propped up against the backside of the pool wall, meaning someone could climb it right into my private room. A little sketch. The ladder is for maintenance, so I just pushed it off the wall. The pool could use a bit of chlorine as algae was present on the pool walls, but honestly, I’d rather have the non-chemical water. The biggest negative which the hotel has no control over is the nighttime noise. There’s a bar across the street which pumps loud music (starting at 10pm and going til like 4am). The hotel actually gives you earplugs when you check in. So lame. There’s two pools. One up on top of the cliff with excellent views. One down by the ocean. Overall, a pleasant stay."

"The entire hotel is constructed from timber, and the overall decor style is very consistent. The only drawback is that the beach is quite small, but there are plenty of other places to explore, and it's very comfortable to just relax at the hotel. Right at the hotel entrance, there's a service point where you can sign up for island hopping tours, and I also got my laundry done there, 65 baht per kilogram. There's a 7-Eleven right outside, and a nice restaurant called Mango Tree. The room itself is quite spacious, and the bathroom is very large and comfortable. There's an electric mosquito repellent in the room, but I barely encountered any mosquitoes. The area outside the room is designed to look like a tropical rainforest, and it even rains occasionally. The pool right outside the room is a bit shallow, but there's a larger public pool in the common area. Every evening at 6 PM, there's a torch-lighting ceremony by the pool, followed by marshmallow roasting. Breakfast was quite substantial. Many people queued for coffee, and there were noodle and egg stations. The Thai stew was delicious. There's an intern named Mon who speaks Chinese, and she was incredibly helpful to us. I went to her for everything, and she was always very enthusiastic to assist. She told me her Chinese teacher gave her the Chinese name 'Xiangling' (香菱), and I suggested she break ties with that teacher!"
