York Hotels with Kitchens

"Amazing location including a balcony over the river (from the hotel bar). The bedrooms were nicely decorated and in reasonable condition. There were no drawers for clothes and the wardrobe had no doors, there were just open shelves and open hanging rails with some coat hangers provided. There were several Yorkshire teabags and instant Nescafé coffee sticks (with sugar and milk) provided, and gourmet biscuits. The WiFi was fast. Plug sockets (including USB) were available by the bed but there were no sockets next to the bed. There is no air conditioning but fans are provided. The bathroom was in very poor condition with rust, mold, a very loud extractor fan and a light that took a long time to turn on. Water pressure was excellent however. Breakfast was a typical Full English buffet with sausages, bacon, mushrooms, scrambled eggs, tomato, fried bread and hash browns. Cereal and pastries were also available. You do need to reserve a breakfast time each day. My room was cleaned daily during my stay with tea/coffee/milk/biscuits replenished"

"the breakfast and man running it was amazing, we were stunned with the amount of thought that went into us, even though we didnt pre-book. only fault was that we didnt realise it was a pub (our fault) and it stayed open downstairs for 3 hours past closing time! we didnt sleep well as i think there was some sort of hendo which was very irritating"

"The location is very convenient, with York City Walls just outside. Butcher Street and the Cathedral are basically a 10-minute walk away. It's on the street but not noisy, you can see the street view, which is quite unique. The staff are super warm and friendly! The room is clean and tidy. But the kitchen doesn't have basic things like salt, pepper and oil. Basically, we had them in our previous B&Bs in the UK, so it was a bit embarrassing that we didn't bring them here. . . In addition, the bed is really small, both single and double. I really don't understand why so many beds in the UK are this small. . . And the single bed will make noise when you turn over at night."

"Near West Campus of York University, paid parking available or park on the street, good breakfast, check out 11.00am and staff were professional. My room this time located on ground floor was tired but functional for 1-2 nights. Have stayed here 3-4x in 2025-2026 and good pub food across the road. It is a quiet location. Will stay here again."

"Amazing customer service, very comfortable bed, all clean. Although it was a small room, it felt very cozy and the house feels like you are a guest visiting a distant relative. The view was gorgeous and great location too!"
