Hotels near Daimon Station, Tokyo

The hygiene was good. The lobby on the first floor offered some disposable amenities like toothbrushes and cotton swabs. The air conditioning was a bit old. The hotel's location was decent; it wasn't too far to walk to the station, about 10-15 minutes. There's a Lawson convenience store nearby. The room wasn't very big, so if you have a lot of luggage, it might be a bit challenging to open it all at once. If you're looking to stay in the Ginza or Shimbashi area, this is a viable option and offers good value for money.

Excellent location for transport - across the road from the metro station, 10mins walk to Hamamatsucho train and monorail station (to Haneda airport). There is a decent-sized supermarket on the way to the hotel from the train station, and a Family Mart convenience store right next to the hotel. There are a few restaurants nearby, and even more on the other side of the train station. The area is more of a business district so there isn't much happening but this also means it's quiet and local, away from the touristy parts of Tokyo. Rooms are not huge but large enough for luggage and a comfortable stay, bathroom is a good size and clean. You need to ask to borrow a kettle, and teabags are in the common lounge room downstairs - there is no mini fridge in the room though. The common lounge room is a nice space to relax, eat, read books, play games etc. The hotel also has laundry and luggage storage facilities. Ask for a room with a sea view - beautiful views of Tokyo Bay! Overall, a comfortable stay with ample hotel facilities (including a free local tour each weekend!) and lots of transport options - very good value for money - recommend!!

The hotel's location is excellent, just a 3-minute walk from Daimon Subway Station. JR Hamamatsucho Station is a bit further, about a 7-8 minute walk away. Ginza is also within easy walking distance, and the main street offers plenty of restaurants. It's very convenient to get here from Haneda Airport. The hotel's surroundings are very pleasant, and it's quiet at night. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, always greeting guests with a warm smile when entering or leaving the hotel. Cleanliness at the hotel is also excellent, with rooms being cleaned very promptly. The only drawback is the room size; it's quite small, and once a large suitcase is opened, there's barely any space left.

I think this is probably the best bang out of your buck when you stay in Tokyo. Clean, spacious (Tokyo standard) convenient. Daimon station is literally outside of your hotel, easy to get to airport as it has the Haneda express line. I was lucky to get the corner room which is a bit bigger and got one more window. The room service may not be everyday since you need to put the sign before 10am to let them know but the house keeper will leave you a bag of amenities anyway. There was good restaurants, McDonald’s and Lawson around. I went during new years so was good to see the shrine near Tokyo tower. The only nitpicky thing would be they checkout at 10am sharp and check in at 3pm? Whereas other hotels would be 2pm check in and check out at noon or 11.

9h Hamamatsucho continues the brand's signature minimalist design, with an all-white space so clean it feels like stepping into a sci-fi sleeping pod base. The sleeping pod is more spacious than expected, the mattress is just right – not too soft, not too firm – and the soundproofing is much better than traditional capsule hotels. Once you pull the curtain, you have plenty of privacy. The shower and vanity areas are spotless, with a clear layout that makes everything easy to navigate. The location is also a huge plus; it's within walking distance to Hamamatsucho Station, making it incredibly convenient for travel to and from Haneda Airport or exploring the city. You can even see Tokyo Tower 🗼 from the top floor (10th floor), which offers a great view. If you're looking for a futuristic and efficient way to spend a night in Tokyo, this is a very solid choice.

Conveniently located near Hamamatsucho and Daimon stations, making it easy to access both Haneda and Narita airports. It's also very close to Tokyo Tower, with convenience stores and drugstores nearby. Shiba Park and Tokyo Station are also within easy reach.

For the last two days of my trip to Japan, I returned to Tokyo and booked a different capsule hotel this time. The Shinbashi KON Hotel is conveniently located about a 10-minute walk from JR Shinbashi Station. Check-in is done via a self-service machine, which provides you with a password. It's available 24/7 and very introvert-friendly! The hotel has a total of 3 floors. B1 houses the lounge, laundry room, and showers, while floors 1 and 2 are dedicated to capsule rooms, which are co-ed. Starting with B1, the lounge has reading lights at every seat, plus a fridge, microwave, and sink for simple food preparation. The shower room has over 10 cubicles and 7-8 vanity areas, each equipped with a hairdryer. There's also an abundance of towels available at the entrance. Overall, it's very convenient and offers a good experience. Now, regarding the capsule rooms: each floor's restroom has 4 cubicles, one of which is for men only and contains only urinals. This design seems to maximize efficiency. The hotel's attention to detail is commendable. For instance, the co-ed restrooms are stocked with feminine hygiene products for emergencies, and earplugs are provided in every capsule. These are the strong points of this capsule hotel. However, compared to the other one I stayed at, its drawbacks are also quite noticeable. Firstly, there's no elevator, so climbing stairs repeatedly can be a pain, especially if you have a large suitcase. Secondly, the capsule facilities are quite basic, with just one light and one power outlet. The capsule height is a bit low; my long winter coat, which could hang freely in the other capsule hotel, couldn't here. Finally, each person only gets a very small locker, roughly big enough for a shoulder bag. Neither a backpack nor a suitcase will fit, so everyone's luggage ends up piled in the hallway.

The location is great, about a 10-20 minute walk to the subway station, Ginza shopping street, and Tokyo Tower. While it's a bit of a stroll, it offers excellent value for money, and the room itself is quite spacious, comparable to a high-end business hotel back home like Ji Hotel or Atour. Inside the room, there's a large sofa bed, perfect for extra luggage or belongings. You can easily fit two or three suitcases without feeling cramped. The view from the window in my room was also lovely. The street where the hotel is located has a charming vibe, with many buildings featuring orange facades. The hotel fridge is stocked with complimentary drinks, which are refilled by the housekeeping staff every day. There are also plenty of 24-hour convenience stores downstairs, which is super convenient. Check-in is fully self-service and contactless, using a machine and your passport.

Our five-night stay at the hotel was pleasant. The room was clean and provided toiletries, towels, and robes. Small items were available at the front desk. Towel changes and trash disposal are available daily, and linen changes are included for stays of four or more nights (this can also be requested separately, but may incur an additional fee). The twin-bedded room is pretty small, with a small table and folding chairs. There is enough space to move around even with one medium or large suitcase in the room. Breakfast is about the same every day: eggs, sausage, meatballs, chicken, vegetables with dressings, pastries, and soups. The building also has a washer and dryer, a beverage machine, and a currency exchange machine.i

The hotel facilities are relatively new and clean. The bed size was just right (not like some hotels where it's only 0.8 meters wide), and although the room was small, the layout was reasonable. It had a fridge and a safe, and there were plenty of power outlets in the room. Even though the bed was by the window, it wasn't cold at all in winter because the window had excellent sealing and two layers of blinds – one opaque and one translucent. Breakfast, which I bought separately for 1500 JPY, was nutritious and tasted good; it was nice to have something warm in winter. The only drawback is that the soundproofing is very poor. I could clearly hear noises from the adjacent rooms, whether it was snoring from the guests across the hall or staff cleaning rooms. However, for a hotel of this caliber, you're looking for value for money. It's clean, hygienic, new, has a safe for passports and bank cards, good service, and is affordable (only around 300+ a night in early January), which already meets my needs.
