Superb service from this hotel! They offer free pick up service so I have no worries to travel from airport to hotel around midnight. Their breakfast is fantastic, their staffs are very helpful, one of the staffs even came and asked if I need any bacon and he cooked on the spot for me. I booked a deluxe single room but I get a twin bedroom which is much more spacious. Lovely atmosphere, great location in the city, the street is quiet even though nearby the busy Thamel street. The hotel manager, Mega, is super friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended!
Hotel Yak & Yeti is located in the heart of Kathmandu at Durbar Marg . The hotel began with 120 beautifully designed rooms. Today, it has grown to offer 241 rooms, blending classic charm with modern comfort. Staying at Yak & Yeti feels like walking through a living museum. The interiors are adorned with intricate artwork, antique treasures, and traditional Nepali designs that tell stories of the country's rich heritage. Outside, the lush gardens offer a peaceful escape, complete with green lawns, a serene pond, and striking sculptures that add to the hotel's charm. One of the hotel’s most iconic features is the Lal Durbar Convention Center, a restored part of the historic Lal Durbar Palace. Built in 1890 by Prime Minister Bir Shumsher Jung Bahadur Rana for his son Rudra, the palace showcases a unique mix of European, Persian, and Nepali architectural styles. Though parts of it were lost over time, the Saraf family dedicated nearly forty years to lovingly restoring it. Today, it serves as an elegant venue for weddings, meetings, and grand events. Guests can also enjoy browsing the shopping arcade, where local crafts and souvenirs let you take home a piece of Nepal. In the waiting area, you’ll find a colorful, eye-catching gazebo created by contemporary artist Tsherin Sherpa. The artwork reimagines traditional Tibetan Buddhist motifs with modern influences, creating a space where sacred traditions meet global culture. From the vibrant Ganesha statue to traditional panas (oil lamps) and fine architectural details, every corner of Yak & Yeti radiates Nepali character. At the reception, the beautifully carved aakhi jhyal, a traditional wooden window greets you with timeless elegance. With warm hospitality, royal touches, and a deep connection to Nepal’s past and present, Hotel Yak & Yeti promises a truly memorable experience in the capital.
Five star historical hotel close to the city cultural landmarks and good location for excursions out of the city as well. Comes with western fine dining and Asian restaurant which are both amazing.

In my personal opinion, this is one of the absolute best hotels in Kathmandu. I have stayed here a few different times and every single time. It has been absolutely incredible. The rooms are immaculate and the beds are the most comfortable beds. I’ve slept on in Nepal. The sheets and the blankets are so soft and comfortable. The shower and the bathroom is immaculately clean. The heated toilet seats are definitely a bonus. The service is beyond incredible. The Internet is really fast compared to most hotels in Nepal. And the restaurant is pretty solid. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Nepal.

The stay was great, to say the least. We actually decided to extend our as our plans changed and looked no further. The staff were very flexible with our late night flight and the ensuing late check-out and assisted us price-wiae. The hotel is truly a boutique one. Breakfast is nice. We didn't need much anyway, so for us, it was much more than we needed. There is a slight variation on a daily basis. The cleaning lady cleans the room impeccably on a daily basis. In general, if you need anything, the staff are accommodating and always ready to help. Locatio- wise, the hotel is somewhat further away from the noise of Thamel and other touristy areas but close enough to places of interest. Last but not least, we arrived later than scheduled, so the meet and greet service , which came free, was super handy.

Awesome! Very very satisfied with our stay at Pomelo. There’s location is great, we are just a few minutes walk from Thamel, 20 minutes walk from Sayambhu, 10 minutes taxi from Balaju… Now the service, it was the best part in the inn, the staff is really very friendly and accommodating, thank you Gyanu and Kamal who helped us for everything during our stay. We booked two rooms as a family, but we got one big family room with separated rooms, the beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was big and proper to use. The breakfast is the best one we had in Kathmandu, fresh and simple. There is a rooftop, from where we took a bowl of air in the evenings and mornings, really nice.

The hotel service was almost impeccably superb. I arrived and was departed by the same polite receptionist, Manoj. The bed was cozy, the toilet was nice (equipped with a range of toiletries) and the interior room was just wonderful. Breakfast was decent and simple. The staff were always ready to serve you. The welcoming atmosphere was somewhat delightful.🫠 The manager even helped us with our planning of Kathmandu- Pokhara and provides all the necessary details that we need to know over there. Saves us a lot of time. 👍🏼 The location was just right. Easily walking access to nearby food place and market for essential buyings. Just that the tv programs were all news channels, that was a slight bummer but most of the time we were out so it doesn't really matter. And our room view was limited maybe because we were on the lower floor but the home style feels overcame the restriction. There is a saying: ”Perfect goodbyes leave nothing unsaid, thereby there's nothing left to come back for.” Overall, even with just 18 rooms in this hotel, I didn't regret making it my destination to rest at Kathmandu. It was truly a lovely place and I hope it prospers widely in the future. Lastly, for all the staff in Kumari Boutique Hotel who appreciate our existence that one week stay, thank you a lot! 🙏🏼 🙏🏼

Amazing
Nice food witn Best services...friendly atmosphere. With clean and neat rooms....for families extra ordinary
I stayed at this hotel for 2nights and 3days, and it was a wonderful experience. All of the staff were extremely kind and even carried our heavy suitcases for us. All the staff were friendly, the rooms were clean, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. If I come back again, I would definitely stay here again.
This is a lovely hotel with excellent service and friendly, helpful staff. My room included complimentary yoga classes at the monastery, which was a wonderful experience. The location is very convenient, just an 8-minute walk to Boudhanath Stupa, with cafes and shops lining the street in between.
The skyline restaurant is the best at sunset in this hotel. They have a transparent glass floor to watch everything under your feet. Many locals also get dressed up and come here to enjoy the million-dollar-worthy sight. You can also enjoy the buffet breakfast at the same restaurant if staying here. I used the swimming pool and sauna on 9 floor. The staff there are very attentive and friendly. Feel like a queen being there! The room is super clean and smell nice! I am amazed by the A.C. System. Believe me that’s very rare to find in Kathmandu! All is very good from the beginning of check-in and till the end. They have free drop-off transportation to airport. So I would highly recommend to book the last nights in Nepal and enjoy a relaxing evening of here!
The hotel location is excellent, fantastic breakfast, staff cooperation everywhere was excellent. This hotel is not a four star hotel according to the Nepal hospitality...it clearly shows it's a three star hotel and all the facilities are related to three star or below. The rooms are small,if staying with a couple or with a girlfriend is fine but if it's staying with two individuals it is very difficult moving and keeping the baggage, and other things. The windows are fixed and can't open. I will say again that the staff were fantastic.
The location is perfect, right at the heart of the city. The view is great, too. The staff are amazing: Bibek informed me about everything I asked, from means of transport to some specialties. I didn't have a kettle in the room, and he got me one. The breakfast was nice, although served only starting from 11 am (which is a bit late to my taste). The biggest issue is hot water that is warm, but i guess that's the case pretty much everywhere in Nepal. There's an AC, a bar of soap, a toothpaste and a toothbrush, a towel, two chairs, but no desk.
Location is amazing in Thamel, super easy to walk around for food and many things Staff at front desk was very friendly and helpful And there is a cocktail coupon every day Only breakfast was too late because my schedule to leave at 9 am but it was ready at 8.30 am and two days in a row. Overall it is very nice hotel to stay when you go to Kathmandu
