Very nice stay overall. The room was super nice and fully up to Mövenpick’s premium standard. The staff were also extremely friendly, and they were very flexible — they even offered breakfast, which I really appreciated. I spent my Christmas Eve there, and they had an event by the swimming pool. It was a bit pricey, but you could see they put a lot of effort into it, and higher prices are expected in a premium hotel. The location is very good, close to the main attractions and also near the airport by taxi. The hotel has a nice swimming pool and a jacuzzi, and the view from the pool area is quite open with a beautiful mountain backdrop. There are also several restaurant options on-site, which is convenient. Overall, it was a solid and enjoyable stay, and I definitely recommend it.

Very nice place to stay in, located in the center of Muscat and 20 minutes by car from the airport. We stayed in an executive suite, which is more than 70m2, with terrace. It was great. You have also a swimming pool on the last floor where you can swim and enjoy the view of Muscat

My stay at IntercityHotel Bawshar was truly wonderful — it felt like a little home away from home. The location couldn’t have been better, with so many major tourist spots just minutes away, making exploring the area easy and stress-free. What really stood out to me was the warmth and kindness of the staff. From the moment I stepped in, the reception team greeted me with genuine smiles, the security staff made me feel safe, and the housekeeping quietly took care of everything so my room was always spotless. Dining at the Gourmet House was a real highlight — the food was fresh and delicious, and the restaurant staff always made me feel welcome, like I was a valued guest rather than just a customer. After long days of sightseeing, unwinding by the clean, refreshing pool or hitting the gym felt like the perfect way to recharge. Overall, my time at IntercityHotel Bawshar was both relaxing and enjoyable. I’d happily recommend it to anyone looking for a friendly place to stay with great amenities and a warm atmosphere.

During my stay at the Hilton Garden Inn Muscat Al Khuwair, I was thoroughly impressed with the level of comfort and convenience the hotel offers. Located in the heart of Muscat, it provides easy access to many key attractions, business centers, and shopping areas, making it an ideal choice for both business and leisure travelers. Rooms: The rooms at Hilton Garden Inn Muscat are spacious, modern, and well-equipped with all the amenities needed for a relaxing stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a good night’s sleep. The cleanliness and upkeep of the room were exceptional, and the view from the room was a lovely touch. Service: The staff were very professional and friendly, offering excellent customer service. From the front desk to the housekeeping staff, everyone was attentive and willing to go the extra mile to ensure a pleasant stay. Facilities: The hotel offers a variety of facilities including a well-equipped fitness center, a beautiful pool, and a dining area serving delicious breakfast and a wide range of international dishes. The hotel also has a business center and meeting rooms, which were convenient for any work-related needs. Great service and location. Peaceful place along the beach. Food is great and have tasty drinks. Perfect place for vacation. There are some good restaurants nearby, which could make you feel like you’re at home.

The Chedi brand never fails to disappoint. And the Muscat experience does it so much justice. And more. The usual “black pool” (2 of them actually), a gym like really really no other. And… the service. All the way up there. There should be more Chedi in the world! Special to Marebel and Anton who made our breakfast just perfect

This hotel is strategically located close to the Avenues Mall. Attached to this mall (and closest entrance to the hotel) is Lulu Hypermarket -an amazing supermarket with local and international brands, and a fantastic bakery. This mall is a 5 minute walk from the hotel. However, you do have walk along the road as the sidewalk / footpath does not exist. But this is only for 300 metres. In fact you can get off the street, but it is gravel/ construction site, so you shoes will be messy. Uber and Grab do not exist in Oman. However, the hotel has two or three taxi drivers that will you take you anywhere. They use set rates, rather than a meter. For example Hotel to Airport run is 8 is Omani Rial (US $20). While this hotel is great for shopping, it is not the best for major attractions of Muscat. The main historical sites of Alam Palace, Ai Mirania Fort and National Museum is 21 kms from the hotel. About 10 Omani Rial is each way by taxi. However, there are very few hotels in this area, so most people stay in hotels near Malls in Oman. This is some form of Public Transport in Muscat, but it can be hard for tourists to use without changing to another bus or long walks. For example, the Royal Opera House is 10 kms from hotel. By using public transport this would require a 2.5 kms walk. The hotel rooms are quite spacious and feature comfortable lounge style chairs. The hotel is located near an expressway /motorway, but good soundproofing means this is not an issue. I was of level 3 and could just see the ocean in the distance (right) and the mall (to left). They do have ocean view room (more expensive higher up the building). The TV is very disappointing - small & old with fuzzy channels. Fortunately, the internet is great, so viewing most programs on the computer. The rooftop has great swimming pool and bar, but maybe a little too cold to swim with highs of about 22-23 C in winter. Staff at receptionist are very obliging. I can definitely recommend this hotel for shopping and good base to experience Muscat. However, as mentioned, it is long way from the major tourists attraction of the city and taxi is required.

It’s reasonably priced, and I have no particular complaints.
