"A historic property, very centrally located close to all Moscow sightseeing. The interiors are a bit tired but clean and well maintained. While it may not be a four-star hotel, the amenities and comfort level are adequate and the location is superb. The breakfast is a mix of international and Russian fare, such as pancakes, sausages, macaroni, cottage cheese bake, cured salmon, millet porridge, and, inevitably, Russian salad. The staff are very friendly, helpful, and well-mannered."

"The hotel is relatively small, and the lobby is a bit like a domestic economy hotel, but there are always two older waiters at the door to open the door and carry the luggage. The hotel is in a great location, about ten minutes walk to the Red Square. The breakfast is also good, and there is always piano accompaniment from the waiter. I stayed in a classic room, which is relatively large, and the bathroom is spacious and clean. However, there was no hot water on the first day. I called the room customer service and asked me to find the front desk. The front desk said that the water pipe was broken and they were reporting it. It was about ten o'clock before the hot water came. It was fine in the next few days."
