"Staying at Katamaran Hotel & Resort Komodo was an absolute delight. Despite being a relatively new property, having opened about a year and a half ago, it runs with the precision and grace of a seasoned resort. The warmth and hospitality of the staff were unmatched from the moment I arrived, and I must give a special compliment to the efficient and helpful luggage service. The security team, the front desk personnel, and the F&B team were all incredibly proactive and obliging, making sure I felt completely safe, comfortable, and well looked after throughout my stay. Special mention to the front desk staff who were very helpful with our queries, reservations and check-out: Denal and Amelia 😊👋 I also want to highly compliment the day tour I took, which covered six different destinations. It was a perfect crash course of the entire national park and was well worth the money. I highly recommend anyone staying here to take up that one-day tour for an unforgettable experience seeing the dragons up close, frolicking on pink sands, snorkeling with turtles and manta rays and basking on a Bank crescent sandbank surrounded by crystal blue waters. While the breakfast variety was impressive and the chefs did a fantastic job keeping dishes stocked, the coffee/tea service was prompt...there is a small room for improvement in plate clearance. Being a bit more attentive to clearing used plates would certainly elevate the dining experience even further. Adding to that, we noticed that salt and pepper cruets weren't always consistently placed on every table, so ensuring those are readily available would be a great way to enhance convenience for guests. Additionally, Katamaran could significantly boost its appeal by offering complimentary access to its aquatic sports amenities, such as paddle boats, water bikes, and kayaking. We realized the free activities were not as popular though. Overall, with stunning views, excellent warm personalized service, I would highly recommend this hotel and will not hesitate to stay here again."

"I really regret not discovering this hotel sooner! The hotel has a very quiet, Southeast Asian vibe. The service is also much better than hotels near the main tourist street. They offer yoga classes, morning Zumba on the beach, and even a diving club. I stayed at three different hotels in Labuan Bajo, and if I come back, this will be my top choice. The only thing to watch out for is mosquitoes in the room, but the front desk will provide mosquito coils if you ask."

"We stayed for 3 nights, and the hotel's views were absolutely stunning! The room was very comfortable, and the Southeast Asian restaurant by the pool had delicious food at reasonable prices. The front desk can help arrange taxis if you want to go out. We tried a local seafood stall once but never went back because the environment was so poor. After that, we just ate at the hotel, and we never got tired of it. The breakfast was also incredibly rich, with many local specialty dishes. The restaurant opens at 6:30 AM for breakfast, but if you need to leave early, you can pre-order a breakfast box to take with you, which is very convenient. Highly recommend!"

"A beautiful hotel at the center of Labuan Bajo. Walking distance to the seafood street (when exiting the hotel, walk go the left), and there's a mall next to it on the right, with a Starbucks, KFC, convenience store and some shops, lots of food options down the street. Hotel lobby is beautiful, with an open space looking towards the waters. Rooms are okay, amenities a bit lacking (no slippers, only 2 big towels). Noise from the boats are way too loud (start very early in the morning), so provided earplugs are useful. Had a seaview room and didn't hear the prayers from the mosque nearby. Free mini bar was nice. Breakfast was just so so but the view is wonderful. Afternoon dance show at the lobby was the highlight of our say"

"First off, I want to say that the hotel staff and front desk were all incredibly friendly and helpful. A big shout-out to their breakfast take-away service, which is a lifesaver for anyone planning a day trip out to sea! If you know you won't have time for breakfast, you can arrange the take-away service with the front desk in advance. The hotel's breakfast runs from 6:30 AM to 10:30 AM, but most day tours to sea leave around 6 AM. I've attached the take-away menu for reference. The hotel itself is very new and super close to the airport, about a 10-minute walk. They also offer airport shuttle service, but remember to email them in advance to book your pick-up. Just a heads-up, avoid emailing on weekends – I did, and the hotel missed my email, so I ended up dragging my heavy suitcase to the hotel, which was a real drag. Also, the rooms don't have openable windows; they have sealed glass floor-to-ceiling windows. This means no smoking in the room, and ventilation isn't the best. Since it's a new hotel, there's still a slight 'new hotel smell,' so keep that in mind if you're sensitive to that. However, since I was usually out at sea all day and only in the room at night, I wasn't really 'holed up' in the hotel, so it was perfectly acceptable. I was just happy that everything was new and clean, haha!"

"I highly recommend this hotel. I think it's the best hotel on Komodo Island. They offer free airport shuttle service. On the day of our arrival, my child probably drank a glass of unclean orange juice and vomited and had diarrhea all over the sofa that night. The hotel picked us up and took us to the hospital early the next morning. When we returned, it was past breakfast time, but after we mentioned it to the staff, they brought breakfast directly to our room. The hotel didn't charge us any extra for any of this, not even a cleaning fee. I can only say that for a room rate of just over 2,000 yuan, we received hotel service worth over 5,000 yuan. The service is even better than the Ritz-Carlton Retreat in Bali. You can go for it without hesitation. Also, the food at that restaurant was pretty good. Although some people complained about the price, honestly, I've never seen cheap food at a five-star hotel. Isn't it all about convenience and comfort? I ordered lamb chops and fish, and both were delicious, especially the lamb chops – they were fantastic and suited to Chinese tastes! The bill came to about 500 RMB, which I think is acceptable. Also, I strongly advise everyone to buy bottled water. Some hotels provide bottled water, while others provide glass bottles. Try to drink less of the glass bottles, and definitely avoid water with ice – who knows what kind of water those ice cubes are made of? "Compared to six years ago, Komodo has opened many new hotels. Although Plataran is not new, it feels the closest to nature. The traditional welcome ceremony is very interesting. The hotel is a little far from the city center, but you can help call a taxi. There are many free activities in the hotel. The snorkeling in the hotel is the most recommended. There are many corals and fish in the sea. There is a restaurant that is only for hotel guests. It tastes good and you can enjoy the food while watching the sunset."

"Our original plan was to stay at this hotel, but an unexpected storm caused our boat to be cancelled, preventing us from reaching the island on time. While we were anxious, the hotel's customer service proactively reached out to us. Not only did they express sincere concern, but they also surprisingly arranged complimentary accommodation for us at a partner hotel on the main island until the weather improved and ferry services resumed. Even though we couldn't check in as planned, their handling and service throughout the process were exemplary. They consistently communicated patiently, actively coordinated, and did their best to alleviate our inconvenience and anxiety. This genuine customer-centric approach left a far deeper impression than a smooth check-in ever could. Although the weather left us with a slight regret, it also allowed us to personally experience the hotel's unexpected level of responsibility and attentiveness. This crisis management capability and sincerity alone are enough to make us confident in their service quality. We will definitely find another opportunity to experience the hotel's charms firsthand next time!"

"Absolutely fantastic! 👍 The building is new, the views are beautiful, and the cleanliness is excellent. The staff are all friendly and very helpful. The room was cleaned every day. There's a kitchen with complete amenities 👍, and the towels are clean and fragrant. All areas are spotless. The downside: It's a bit far from everything, but you can order food and other things online (Grab), so for those looking for a peaceful getaway, this place is perfect. There's also an airport shuttle. My family and I really enjoyed our vacation at Kaliwatu Villas and Residence. If I ever come to Labuan Bajo again, I will definitely stay here.
