GGuest UserThe location of the B&B is very convenient. You can take the 302 tourist line from Shenjiawan Passenger Terminal for 10 yuan per person and get off at Gaochangwan Bus Station. The B&B is under the bus stop. It is also very convenient to transfer to other buses. I came on June 12. The location of this B&B is about 7 minutes' walk from Gaochangwan Bathing Beach (Tianyuewan Resort). The original ticket was 50 yuan. Because I live in this village, the owner of the B&B gave me a ticket. It only costs 30 yuan to enter the beach, and I can also get a wristband. I can enter and exit the beach at will within one day. The limit is one day. I think that except for living in Gaochangwan, other B&Bs must not have this treatment. This beach should belong to this village. This beach is very large and long, with fine sand. You can take a bath when it is hot. It is a sister beach with Jihu Beach behind the B&B mountain, separated by a mountain. The B&B is very new. The owner said that it will be repaired every year to keep it brand new. The decoration style is all related to the sea, very warm and comfortable, the accommodation conditions are impeccable, and the owner's house design has a large terrace on the 4th floor, where you can cool off, drink tea and watch the scenery. In one of the rooms, you can see the sea and the beach by opening the curtains, which is very comfortable. I looked at the B&Bs around, and there are very few with such a large terrace. During the period, I also went to the Donghai Fishing Village mentioned by my friend. There are more people there, but it looks very messy, and the design of the B&B is not very good. The Donghai Fishing Village is lively, and there are many food stalls. If you want to be quiet, Gaochang Bay is really quiet. Also, it is recommended to let the B&B owner cook seafood if you want to eat it, which is affordable. The 700 yuan we ate outside was not as much as the 500 yuan the boss cooked, and it was a bit of a rip-off outside. The boss was very kind and talked to each other. The yard of the B&B and the roof are full of succulents, which are very beautiful. The only regret is that the weather was not good when I came, it was gloomy, foggy and rainy, the sea water was not blue, and there was haze, which was the biggest disappointment. Everything else was very satisfactory.

GGuest UserThe room is really beautiful, with no blind spots and sea view rooms. The whole house is smart. The water curtain flower room restaurant is also very beautiful. You can dine at sunset and make great movies. The dishes are also delicious and the ingredients are fresh. The most noteworthy thing is the service. They are responsive to every request. The child had a fever on the second day and they helped us prepare a fever-reducing patch. They also helped us cook white porridge for dinner. It's so thoughtful. I will choose this restaurant next time I go.

MMaria13579One of our best stays in China! This place was absolutely amazing. The ladies running it are hilarious and always made us laugh. First of all - the rooms are really good for the price. We got upgraded to a much better room after our first night, free of charge. It’s also conveniently located next to grocery shops, cafes, restaurants and the beach, while still being a little out of the way from the hustle and bustle. The food here is really good too - the (included) breakfast as well as what you can buy for lunch/dinner is really fresh. Because of the language barrier they tried to accommodate by providing more “western style” breakfasts for us, but when we realized and asked about it they made us a second breakfast that was like the one everyone else got. They also helped us out with a driver to take us to the abandoned village, and booked our tickets back to Shanghai. Also, the aircon here is FAST and reliable which we’ve realized isn’t a given after a few weeks in China. So that’s another (small yet important) plus for sure! Usually I like to explore different places and stay at different accommodations if/when I revisit places, but I’d probably make an exception and stay here again if I ever come back to visit the island!

During the May Day holiday, I suddenly wanted to take my child to see the sea and dig sand. Because the sea water near Shanghai Port is too muddy and yellow, I did some research and decided to go to the easternmost Goji Shengshan. In the past, when I traveled alone, I always liked to choose youth hostels in various places. Although I was traveling alone, I felt that I was safer. This time, I also read the comments and photos of netizens and felt that the view at the door was really good. I booked late and there were no rooms I wanted. After all, life cannot have both. The view of the sea at this high place is really great. The evening sea breeze hits my face, refreshing and comfortable, enough to heal. I don’t like taking pictures. Most of the few photos I took were taken at the door of the youth hostel, some in the morning, evening and noon. P.S.: I took the child to walk a small wild road at the back, climbed up, and saw a different scenery. If you are interested, you can try it. 😄, when the weather is good in July, August and September, maybe our family of three will suddenly decide to be ”islanders” for a few days.
