Iroha Grand Hotel Kintetsu Nara Ekimae ★★★★
"This was my second time visiting Nara, and this time I traveled completely independently. The hotel's location is incredibly convenient. Coming from Kyoto on the Kintetsu Nara Line, you just walk straight down a bustling shopping and food street from the subway station, and the hotel is right at the end. It has a resort-style feel. There's no hot water dispenser in the room, so if you want hot water, you have to go downstairs, which is a bit inconvenient. I ended up bringing my own water every day. Bus route number 2 stops right outside and is a loop line, making it easy to get to all the attractions whenever you want."
Onyado Nono Nara Natural Hot Spring ★★★★
"I liked the friendliness and professionalism of the staff! I find them very helpful and kind! I like the onsen, massage chair, ice cream and breakfast. I lived in the room facing the train tracks. The sound proof windows do a good job blocking the sound. The entrance is separated by 2 doors, so I didn’t hear much from the hallway. Very private."
LOCO minami-ichi ★★★
"The room was clean, just as described. If you have a large suitcase, keeping it open might be a bit inconvenient, but for a 2-3 night stay, there's enough space to leave a smaller suitcase open and still move around comfortably. For this price, having a private toilet and shower in the room, right next to a shopping street, is simply fantastic. Check-in was easy despite it being unstaffed. There's an office a few minutes' walk away where you can store your luggage if needed. I would definitely like to stay here again."
Hotel Nikko Nara ★★★★★
"Very close to NARA JR, nice and clean with good amenities but my automatic washer in toilet is broken. Hotel staff was friendly but not fluent in English. Good for business and travel in Nara. p.s. my friend who reserve room+breakfast said the morning buffet is good in both Japanese and Western style, might try on next visit"
Piazza Hotel Nara ★★★★
"The hotel is very good and convenient. The room is very nice and clean."
Hotel New Wakasa ★★★★
"The hotel is wonderful! Very clean, a hot onsen right in the room on the balcony, goodie bags, a very beautiful entrance hall, a beautiful view from the rooftop. I didn't like the traditional Japanese breakfast—there just wasn't enough for my taste. A European breakfast is better."
Ryokan Asukasou at the Entrancne of Nara Park ★★★★
"Hotel was about 2 mins walk from the entrance of Nara park n the shopping district. Very good location. You could either walk 1.3km to the hotel from the JR station, or take a taxi which would cost around 1200yen. About 10 mins walk from the metro station. I stayed for 2 nights with breakfast and dinner inclusive. The Ryokan did take note n served us a different menu each day. There was also a small indoor n outdoor onsen in the Ryokan. The food was superb."
HOSHINOYA Nara Prison
Nara Royal Hotel ★★★★
"Very nice place for the first time to travel in Nara, I will choice here next time."

JW Marriott Hotel Nara
"When you first walk in the smell of relaxation hits you. I'm not sure what fragrance it was but absolutely loved it. We enjoyed everything about this hotel from location, food and room accommodations."
Nara Kasuga KANOYA
"This has been one of the best if not THE best experience I have ever had in a Japanese hotel. We stayed in Nara for 2 days. The hotel has only a few rooms and quietly located within walking distance of the Kasuga Taisha. The room we had faces the forest on one side and a beautiful path on the other, and it was super large. It might not be as noticeable as others near the train station, but it’s a must try if you plan to stay in Nara for an extended period, which in its own rightis definitely worth it."
Nara Hotel
"The hotel has a very historical feel. We booked the cheapest room in the main building. The room is not big and can't accommodate suitcases. The breakfast is interesting and the visual selection is better than the taste. The service is OK, but early check-in is not possible."
Shisui, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Nara
"A fantastic gem which we we enjoyed every minute we stayed there. The choice of having a private onsen in our room was worth every penny of the premium we paid. I had my onsen dip three times a day and had never felt more relaxing and enjoyable. The hotel compound is so beautiful and all the staff were so accommodating. I would highly recommend this hotel who like spend a relaxing time in Nara."
Nara Park Hotel
"The receptionist was very welcoming and provided excellent service."
Ando Hotel Nara Wakakusayama -Dlight Life & Hotels-
"The scenery and view are unparalleled, the hotel service is very friendly, and there are group activities in the evening to take you to the top of the mountain to watch the night view. The only drawback is that the cherry blossoms bloomed late this year, which wasted my careful selection of hotels for so long."
Hana Naramachi
Hotel Asyl Nara
"The room was absolutely great. In Japanese style, futons, tatami, exactly the one we wanted to try. Staff friendly, helpfull and kind. The only thing we dislike was the smell of fried oil in the hotel corridors. Luckily it did not smell in the room."
The Deer Park Inn
"The room was considered large for Japan, with only two beds and a table. The bathroom was shared, but it wasn't crowded, so there was no queue. The receptionist looked like Liu Yifei and was very friendly and welcoming. Overall, it was a good experience."
Hotel Asyl Nara Annex
"An older hotel but very well maintained and clean. The bed was comfortable and the room size was decent. Free parking is definitely a bonus. Breakfast was included and the food was amazing. The staff were lovely and welcoming and they even provide free beverages from 3pm onwards which is a nice touch. Overall the price is reasonable for what you get. Location is not far if you are driving to the tourist attraction."
Fufu Nara
"A fantastic designer hotel. The one-night stay with two meals is perfect for a relaxing vacation. All meals are in private rooms with a wonderful ambiance. The kaiseki dinner was excellent; I highly recommend trying it if you're staying at the hotel. The service was meticulous, and there was Chinese-speaking staff, so communication was no problem at all. Feeding the deer during the day and soaking in the private onsen in the afternoon was so relaxing and enjoyable. I slept very well and felt completely at ease. I would definitely stay here again next time I'm in Nara!"
Hotel Tenpyo Naramachi
"I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room was very comfortable and clean, and I really liked the pajamas supplied by the hotel. The lounge was really welcoming, and I liked that you could get hot or iced coffee at any time of day there. The tea selection was also extensive. I also really liked the public bath in the basement. After a day of walking in the winter, nothing beats a soak in the hot pool. Staff was always friendly and greeted me every time I came back or left the hotel. The location is also excellent, with lots of restaurants and cafes nearby, as well as the entrance to Nara Park!"
AB Hotel Nara
"Very close to the train station. They had a Japanese style Onsen for men and ladies. Also, the room included a decent breakfast. It was a comfortable stay."
Washington Hotel Plaza Nara
"The hotel is situated on a main street in Nara's tourist district, with both JR and Kintetsu stations easily accessible. The rooms feature a typical Japanese layout, but they are quite cramped. Service was just okay."
Super Hotel Jr Nara Ekimae Sanjo Dori
"The room is very small, but fully equipped with all the necessary facilities and toiletries. It is close to the bus station and JR station, with convenient transportation. The room rate will increase significantly on weekends."
