Facilities: perfect, hot air is very warm, cost-effective Service: I moved from the next homestay. Yesterday, this hotel was full. The next homestay was expensive. The restaurant upstairs was very good. We had hot pot for dinner.

The hotel in this county far exceeded my expectations; I even considered staying another night. The location is unique, perched atop a small hill, accessible via a charming little tunnel. It offers panoramic views of the county. The room was spacious and clean, with complimentary fruit, snacks, and drinks. A hot bedtime drink was even provided, ensuring a good night's sleep. The breakfast was excellent, with everything delicious, including spicy shrimp! This was just a stopover; I'll definitely make a special trip to Luoping for a vacation in the future, and I'd definitely come back just for this hotel.

The location is quite good, not right on the main road, so it's relatively quiet at night. The decor isn't super modern, but the facilities are complete. You can see rapeseed flowers from one side when you open the window. There's a restaurant on the first floor, which is convenient for meals. Today is Lantern Festival, and after breakfast, the owner even gave us a free serving of Tangyuan (sweet rice dumplings).

I can't believe it's 2025, and there are still such wonderful hostels in China: bookstores, music, drinks, courtyards, and incredibly cool owners... a cultural utopia in Luoping County, Qujing City, Yunnan Province. It's a haven of cleanliness, a great location, excellent amenities, and a remarkably quiet environment. I hope Luoping 97 Bookstore Hostel stays open for a hundred years! Right now, I'm at Guiyang Longdongbao Airport T3 Terminal, about to board a Xiamen Airlines flight back to Nanjing. Yunnan, Guizhou, and Sichuan are a hub of delicious food and a gathering place for all kinds of culinary experts. This isn't my first time here, and it won't be my last. By the way, the hostel owner told me about the Time YHA Hostel in Yongyuan Alley next to the Presidential Palace in Nanjing. That's where my stays at China International Youth Hostels began, the place where a beautiful dream started... I miss the pre-pandemic hostel era, cherish everything I have now, and look forward to the future. Attached is a picture: the sunset I saw from the owner's rooftop that night. Our primary goal was to visit Luoping's Jinji Fengcong (Golden Rooster Hills) and its vast rapeseed fields, so we meticulously chose and booked the highly-rated Xinyuan Dream Guesthouse on Ctrip, conveniently located within the scenic area. It was spotlessly clean, tidy, and comfortable, and our spacious view room offered direct views of Jinji Fengcong. After staying here, we realized that staying within the scenic area is absolutely the best choice, saving both time, effort, and money. The guesthouse is run by a young, university-educated couple. The proprietress is a sweet, friendly, and charming young lady; her radiant smile is as captivating as the blooming rapeseed flowers themselves. They offer freshly prepared dishes and rice for all three meals, which are excellent value for money and taste wonderfully fresh and light. The owner even personally drove us to the scenic area entrance in his electric cart, which was incredibly thoughtful. Right outside the guesthouse, there's a field of rapeseed flowers (Pic 2) where every casual snap turns into a stunning photo. Public transport is also conveniently accessible right outside the entrance. I've already recommended it to all my friends on social media who are planning a trip here!

The room facilities are new, similar to the quality of a fast hotel. Clean and odorless. The air conditioning and heating are sufficient and quiet. The shower head in the bathroom has enough water. The rice noodles and porridge for breakfast taste good. The homestay is close to the rapeseed flower scenic area, and you can also see the flower fields on one side from the window. Before booking, I was a little hesitant because I saw some reviews (reviews in early 2023) pointing out that there were some flaws in the homestay. I specifically called the homestay to ask if those problems had been solved. The person in charge who answered the phone told me with certainty that those problems were no longer there and I could book with confidence, and explained in detail the causes of the problems and the measures to solve them. It is a reliable store!

The room is clean and tidy, and the boss and his wife treat the guests warmly and thoughtfully. Since there is no elevator, the boss personally helped us move our luggage to the third floor. When traveling, you will feel very comfortable when you encounter such a hotel. Friends who come to Luoping must recommend this hotel. The most important thing is that it is economical and convenient.

This stay was a very pleasant experience. The service was attentive and thoughtful, the rooms were spacious and bright, the facilities were complete, and the price was very reasonable. There was a yard in the back where you could park, which could probably fit five or six cars. There was a breakfast shop on the first floor of the guesthouse, and the roasted milk was also very delicious. I stayed another night.

Maybe it’s because the mountains are too humid and the facilities are aging quickly, so the air conditioning effect is not very good. Fortunately, there are electric blankets. The service provided by the front desk girl is very good, considerate and attentive. The environment is worth it, especially the beautiful cherry blossom mountain road to the left when you go out the back door of the hotel. You can walk to the Stone Forest of Weigu Village and drive a short distance to the beautiful Xiaolongtan Village. Turning right from the back door you can reach the Pinde Village Observation Deck, which is so beautiful! Living here is an unexpected surprise!
