It is a nice hotel within walking distance to the city walls. The bed and pillows are really comfy. Breakfast selection is limited but tasty. What really stands out is the exceptional service of the reception staff and also kudos to the female chef at breakfast who is patient with our vegetarian requirement. The only thing is the wifi is pretty weak and breaks often.

The bathroom was clean with good water pressure and a practical layout. A few small things felt a touch “budget-first” like standard toiletries and a shower curtain rather than a glass enclosure—but nothing deal-breaking. - Cleanliness: Overall good. Housekeeping did a thorough job during my stay, and I didn’t notice any telltale corners being overlooked. Just got back from Xiangyang and I honestly found the Anpu Meisu Garden Hotel to be a very comfortable stay. The location is great, right by the city moat, and it's not a far walk to the North Street of the ancient city, making it convenient for getting around and shopping. The guesthouse has a courtyard design with excellent greenery, very quiet and peaceful – no noise whatsoever. The rooms are clean and tidy, with impeccable hygiene. They're also smart rooms with complete facilities and equipment. The hotel environment is beautiful, and the bedding is really comfortable. The front desk service was attentive and thoughtful, and the hotel even provided welcome fruits. The attention to detail was much appreciated.

The location is OK, next to the Xiangyang Railway Station Square. The size of the hotel is okay and the hygiene is okay. The carpet is stained in some places and looks uncomfortable. The most uncomfortable thing is that the paper bag and slippers are marked with a ”take away fee”. This is the first time I have seen this situation in a hotel in Hong Kong and Macao in the past 20 years when I have been traveling.
