The hotel is not in the city centre, but that's why we choose it ..... for the tranquility and the quite environment.
The establishment is impeccable, we pay around HK$8xx, and have to admit this is very good value (even considering not much facilities).
The restaurant team are awesome, very attentive, eagar to assist in a warm and welcoming manner. We went for breadfast daily, and from the second day, they remember our breakfast drink!
The spa, much room for improvement...... considering the price, really would not expect ”smelly” bath robe (the price is around 2 to 3 times the price one pay at a spa parlour locally).
During my stay, the hotel is under a planned renovation construction (we were told) - work is going on even over the weekends, that was very unfortunate. Especially we are looking for a quite hotel! I really think they should state at the booking portal and let people know!
The most disappointing part is, the reception team were recommending car service to us (for our return trip to Danang). The original price quote was US$92. We booked.
On the departure day, we were asked to pay, the bill was shown in VND (local currency) and I noticed there are service charge and tax applied. So I ask if the US$92 included the service charge and tax. The reception gentleman was slight agitated and say something like ”every body knows service charge and tax are applied to bills in Vietnam”.
We were then checking the bill and tried to figure out if the US$92 were inclusive of the service charge and tax. While we were doing that, the reception gentleman told us, yes, the US$92 were already including the the service charge and tax. We were a bit itimidated then, and not wanting to further ruin our holiday mood, so we paid and leave.
The car trip was very pleasant and the driver was very polite and attentive.
When we are home, we check the bill again, and find out, we paid around US$112 for the trip. (ie, the originally quote price US$92 is not inclusive of service and tax. More so, the reception gentleman that explained the price to us, was either uncompetent or dishonest!

Guest UserThe exact what we needed on our trip. It was so relaxing. The spa was amazing and the treatments and staff were 10/10.
The the breakfast was amazing, both continental and Asian. the bar meals and evening meals very tasty too. A small menu though. Staff were 10/10 and very attentive. Could not do enough.
The pool looked great, shame the sun didn’t shine until the day we left.
The bikes were fun and the golf carts were a great idea for modes of transport. Would definitely recommend.

Guest UserThis was my first time staying at a Banyan Tree property and my first trip to Vietnam, so I was excited yet a little nervous. The experience turned out to be unexpectedly amazing, truly exceeding all my expectations. While this hotel isn't brand new, all the furniture and bathroom fixtures are impeccably maintained. Compared to other brand hotels I've stayed at recently, like the Westin in Phuket or even the Dusit Thani in the Maldives, Banyan Tree's brand standards are consistently stable and thorough. They offer twice-daily housekeeping, daily small gifts, and snacks, and on the last day, a bubble bath and romantic setup for two – all delightful surprises. Since our villa was on top of the hill, the buggy service was always prompt. Every staff member offered genuine, smiling service, incredibly patient, and even with limited English, there was none of that typical 'customer service' fake smile you often see in the hospitality industry. The spa truly deserves a special mention; I tried both the Banyan Tree and Angsana sister hotels' spas. The techniques were professional, the therapists put in great effort, and it was excellent value for money. I visited the spa four times during my seven-night, eight-day stay and still wanted more. Words can't express how highly I recommend it. I'm actually a very picky person, and a germaphobe, and over the past two decades, I've stayed at various five-star island resorts across several continents. This time, I'm truly grateful because it was a last-minute decision – I only booked and paid in September. After the trip, my initial apprehension turned into gratitude and satisfaction. I must say, Banyan Tree has won me over. I hope to try their properties in China this year.

Guest UserThis hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Hue, with plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. The service was good; at check-in, they confirmed the meeting times for activities I had pre-booked. Although it's a bit far from the main tourist attractions, Grab is readily available, so it wasn't an issue. Even taxi drivers seemed to know of this hotel when I tried to flag one down. The room was a bit small, but it had most of what I needed, except for tissues.

Anonymous UserThe breakfast was excellent, and the pool area was spacious. The rooms were new and didn't have that formaldehyde smell. It's about an hour's drive from the airport. A big shout-out to the hotel's service, which truly exceeded expectations for the price – really top-notch!

Guest UserHad a great stay at this hotel with a river view and very attentive staff.
However, the hotel is undergoing renovations in some rooms, including one just a room away from ours, which led to very significant noise disturbances (it was unbearable to stay in the room at that time).
I find it regrettable that the room we booked three months in advance was assigned to this location (near the renovated rooms).
Otherwise, the location, room size, and river view make me recommend this hotel.

When we got there, we welcomed so warmly by Han on the receptionist, a very good man who packed our breakfast the next morning because our flight was leaving so early. The staff was really welcoming, the rooms are clean, the pool is amazing and the food was great.

diemmy_9x_okI booked a family room, which was very spacious, consisting of two connected rooms. The first room had a double bed, and the second had two single beds separated by a partition. It also had two bathrooms and a TV. The complimentary breakfast was quite good, offering choices like beef noodle soup, thick noodle soup, or omelets, along with coffee and fruit.

We booked rooms for 1 night only, but faced multiple problems.
1. They rent bikes till midnight only! But nobody told us that information. And the next day in the early morning (7.40 am) I got a message from a reception with ”if you keep bikes now we are going to charge you for one more day”. Day before I asked at reception ”should we bring bikes back before chekout” and answer was OK! So remember that you have to bring it till midnight, if you rent for 1 day only. Otherwise they tell you that you rent for more than 1 day! And probably no one is going to say you this information before.
2. I paid all the prices online, but at checkout they asked me to pay by cash... So actually it was kinda annoying, cause we waited for a taxi, but i had to explain that I already paid online.
3. So there were few little mistakes/misunderstandings. For example my friends ordered breakfast while check-in, but tomorrow morning stuff said ”you didn't order breakfast” and stuff like that. Small problems, but it was a lot of them
But my room was nice, clean and with a perfect view.
The area is quiet and calm, but not much food around, you have to drive/walk for it.

The hotel is in a convenient location, about a 20 minutes walk to the old city. Plenty of eateries and shops around. It's also just a 25 minutes drive to the train station (we took the scenic train to Danang). The room was ok and mostly clean, but the bed was very hard and the pillows felt like a sac of potato. The staff were friendly and helpful.
The hotel seems to caters mainly to Chinese tour groups. They are very noisy and unruly. The breakfast area felt like a market, the bread and pastries were stale and un-edible, the bacon was hard and dry. Maybe the Asian fare was good, the continental/western fare was terrible. Would not recommend!
