Great
JJitenLoved this hotel. Had everything I needed and the staff were always there to help if anything was needed. Breakfast was superb, as well the choice of lunch and dinner. The beach and pool was great. There is also a hotel bus that runs into the Phan Thiet centre several times a day which was very handy. Would stay again at Sonata Hotel.
GGuest UserThis is a beautiful hotel, even though it's on the smaller side. Absolutely gorgeous! The pool is clean and a comfortable temperature. We had a ground-floor room with direct pool access. The room itself was small but very comfortable overall. The bathroom with the shower cubicle was spacious. The entire front wall of the room was a panoramic sliding window with a view of and access to the pool, and there was a small veranda with a swing, a table, and a chair. The room was clean, as was the hotel grounds. You pre-select your breakfasts for all your stay days during check-in (meaning they have a menu with several dishes for different days of the week, and you can choose one main dish, one appetizer, and one drink). Overall, the breakfasts were good; the pho bo was even very tasty! I also really liked the hotel staff, a sweet girl at the reception and a guy. The girl helped with absolutely everything, from renting a scooter to finding a hospital. A big thank you to the staff! However, there was one downside – the rats. Almost every evening, as we approached our room, rats would scurry out from a corner right under our feet 🤣. I don't think the hotel can do much about it; the problem is more with the trash cans on the sidewalks.
1118167****The service here was truly excellent 👍. We got welcome drinks and a complimentary massage during check-in. Our butler, Hong, was warm and professional! The location is also quite good, and the whole vibe is pretty chill. However, for one of Mui Ne's two best hotels, I found the room facilities a bit dated, and it might not be great value for money during peak season. Even if domestic hotels in China are a lower tier or price point than those in Vietnam, their toothbrushes, combs, razors, hairdryers, bedding, and towels are much better quality. China's manufacturing of these items is truly excellent and inexpensive. While Vietnam's processing industry is booming, it still has a ways to go. Perhaps it's because I didn't book a villa (since I was only staying one night). Compared to the pool villa I stayed in for two nights at Centara, I still prefer Centara's villa types. But Anantara's service is better and more personalized; Centara had too many kids and was too noisy, and the English proficiency wasn't as good as at Anantara.
GGuest UserResort generally is quite Good. But only one thing need to be improved is the service. Staff doesn't understand just simple things sometimes. Hope my next time come there everything will be fixed....
GGuest UserIt feels quite peaceful here, not too flashy but not unpleasant either. The room isn't large, and the furniture is simply arranged, making daily life quite convenient. I stayed for several consecutive days and found it easy to adapt, the only downside being a lack of natural light during the day.
GGuest UserWe have been to other Southeast Asian countries and have never encountered such thoughtfulness. My father's birthday was on that day, so when we went to the lobby for breakfast in the morning, the waiter specially led us to the best seat by the sea, decorated it thoughtfully, and gave us a birthday cake with birthday wishes, which was a special surprise for us. From this small detail, we can see that the hotel has taken the trouble. Thank you very much for the little surprise the hotel gave us. It is worth staying at this hotel, and the service is also very good. They also helped us book a luxury bus from Mui Ne to Ho Chi Minh. We almost couldn't take the bus because I booked it on KLOOK. The order has been pending confirmation. It was the front desk who helped us call for consultation. Thank you very much!

SSophia The ExplorerHotel Review: Sea Lion Beach Resort & Spa – Mũi Né
Our stay at Sea Lion Beach Resort & Spa was absolutely wonderful. This is by far one of the hotels with the best amenities we’ve experienced in Vietnam.
Things We Loved:
Excellent resort amenities – two swimming pools, direct beach access, and free breakfast.
Beachfront relaxation – sunbeds are available for guests to relax and chill by the beach.
Great location – walking distance to convenience stores and nearby restaurants.
Spotless housekeeping – rooms are cleaned daily, and towels are changed without needing to request or remind staff.
Very helpful reception staff – the receptionist assisted us in booking our sleeper bus to Đà Lạt, which made our trip so much easier.
Friendly and attentive staff – everyone was welcoming, polite, and professional.
Well-maintained resort – amenities, pools, and common areas are consistently clean and well taken care of throughout the entire resort
MM.RomanchikA large hotel complex with swimming pools, a sauna, a hammam and its own infrastructure in the form of cafes, shops and coffee shops. Very convenient. Prices are slightly higher than in Mui Ne itself, but not critical. There is a private beach with sun loungers. The complex is located on a hill, you can go up to the reception directly on an escalator or an electric car. There is a private beach. The center of Mui Ne is about 20 km away. It is not convenient without a bike. With a bike, it is a pain to ride there) We stayed for 5 days. We really liked the room and the complex itself. Daily cleaning, a visit to the sauna was included in the price and the pools too. Beautiful view. Comfortable to sleep and you can't hear your neighbors. We had a good rest! The only thing is that when booking it was indicated that there was a mini kitchen, but in fact the stove did not work. We were unable to prepare a minimal breakfast. But for us it was not critical, we did not contact the staff about this.
GGuest UserBefore I start. Let’s be clear, Apec Mandala Mui Ne is the main one that owns the buildings. However a bunch of “Condotels” use the Mandala name so “Mandala Breeze” is one of them.
The communication is spot on before the trip. If you use Zalo they message you there and tell you the things you need to know. Also throughout the trip, extremely responsive to any questions I had.
CHECK-IN
Messaged when arrived and a girl came with the key cards (not the typical check-in style). She showed us to the room and took pictures of our passports. Also, they needed to keep one of the passports for some reason. But got it back at the end.
FOOD:
The Mandala Bay restaurant was for sure the main one for decent food! There are “lower level” kinds of restaurants around that offer very affordable and yummy food. (Bay Restaurant would be about 1-1.5M VND per meal on average for family of 3-4. Whereas the other more affordable places cost about 500k VND totally).
AMENITIES:
Swimming pools to the max. Very nicely kept pools and a nice kids playing mini water park was great. All pools have kids pools connected so it’s very family oriented.
Didn’t get to check the gym out but looks good.
The beach is easily accessible via exiting the hotel and asking the guard to send the golf cart to take you down.
Beach is standard and nothing very special. Quite a lot of rubbish around and many crabs (which of course don’t need to worry about as they go down into their holes with any kind of movement from us.)
Beach water is a little clear and at this time of the year (May) the water is warm!
*Notable* - people were getting stung by what possibly are jelly fish. So, you just get lucky with that kind of thing.
KIDS ACTIVITIES:
They have a great kids play club. It costs extra and isn’t included in the hotel cost but it’s worth it. Unfortunately quite hot in there though!
Kids also have the water park for themselves and the water slide (although the slide might rip your swimsuit a little!)
*Notable* - Swimming Pools. If you are staying via one of the condotels then make sure the if your room includes the swimming pools, take the main key card pocket as you won’t be able to get towels to use or even use the pool as that is the part of the actual date you will check-out. The cards themselves have old dates and the lifeguards get confused and say you can’t use the pools so make sure you take the one that has the actual check-out date on it.
CHECK-OUT:
Simply message 30 minutes before the time and it will be ok. Very simple.
All in all it was a great time. A couple of miscommunication issues but that’s to be expected. No real need to go out of the complex as they have everything there.
