Our stay at Colorful Danxia Flower House Hotel was truly exceptional—easily a 5-star experience. From the moment we arrived, the owner went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, even personally helping us carry our luggage upstairs. His hospitality didn’t stop there—he kindly assisted us in booking tickets for a local show and even drove us there himself, which made our trip so much more convenient and enjoyable. The room was spotless, one of the cleanest we’ve stayed in, and it was clear that great care is taken to maintain high standards. We also really appreciated the free laundry service, which was incredibly helpful during our travels. The location is perfect—just a short walking distance to the west entrance of the Danxia park, making it easy to explore. Right across the hotel is a fantastic restaurant, so finding great food was effortless. To top it all off, the owner even prepared thoughtful departing gifts for us, which was such a warm and memorable touch. His kindness and attentiveness truly set this place apart. If you’re visiting the area, this hotel is an outstanding choice.

Service: The owner was incredibly nice. They prepared fruit for us upon check-in and enthusiastically gave us directions and sightseeing tips when we went out – truly amazing! Hygiene: The hotel's hygiene is excellent, and the rooms have smart controls. Facilities: The hotel also has EV charging stations, which is great for those traveling by car. Environment: It's super close to the scenic area, making it convenient for getting around, and there are plenty of dining options nearby. Highly recommended!

The owner is truly amazing! This trip to the Rainbow Mountains was incredibly pleasantly surprised by the ”That Time in a Hurry” Hotel. The rooms were comparable to a star-rated hotel, absolutely fantastic. Unlimited drinks, a complimentary souvenir upon departure, and shuttle service to and from the scenic area – I haven't experienced this kind of service at other hotels. Guests are truly treated like royalty! The owner is a very generous and cheerful person! Let me especially talk about the breakfast; I've taken pictures for you. The key is that the owner made everything – everything was delicious, and I wanted to try them all! There were egg tarts, grilled sausages, milk pudding, and more! Friends, experience it for yourselves! Highly recommended! Incredibly high value for money!

I spent one night at this hotel and was absolutely thrilled. The location is unbeatable: the north gate of the Danxia Scenic Spot is only about a 10-minute walk away. There are also plenty of restaurants, souvenir shops, and small supermarkets in the immediate vicinity, all within easy walking distance. The hotel itself is very modern, well-maintained, and clean. My room was a real highlight – very spacious, stylishly furnished, and equipped with a huge shower. It offered many amenities, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. I especially enjoyed the view of the mountains from my window! A big thank you to the staff as well: everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful. Anyone planning a visit to the Danxia Scenic Spot will find the perfect accommodation here. I would definitely stay here again!

This hotel is great! It's very clean and the smart speaker makes everything super convenient. The hotel itself is new with excellent facilities and a lovely environment. It's close to the scenic area, just a ten-minute walk away. The service is incredibly warm and enthusiastic, and the owner is always ready to help with anything. Highly recommend it to everyone!

We liked almost everything about this hotel! Out of around ten hotels we stayed during our trip to China this year, this was by far the best one. It was renovated in 2026 and it shows. The automatic lighting system just works, the TV is huge (not that we can watch any of the movies in Chinese :-)). The AC is strong and silent. The check-in time of 10am and check-out times of 15:00 are unusually generous by American standards. The hotel recommended us a transfer service that we used on both days in Zhangye to go to Danxia mountains area. The only part we didn't like was the complimentary breakfast. It was impossible to find sugar for coffee, the Chinese food was somewhat bland and Western food mostly lacking.

After comparing several accommodations for my trip to Zhangye Danxia, I chose Kaoshan Daying (Back Mountain Camp). The Starry Sky Yurt was what truly captivated me, and my entire stay exceeded expectations – highly recommended! Location-wise, the camp is right next to the West Gate of the Danxia scenic area, making travel incredibly convenient. No need for roundabout detours; I could step out early in the morning to catch the Danxia sunrise. This fantastic location also saved me a lot of effort when it came to stargazing at night. Now, let's talk about the Starry Sky Yurt. Before I arrived, I was a bit worried about roughing it in a tent out in the wilderness, but my stay completely changed my mind. The yurt was spotlessly clean and tidy, well-ventilated with no strange odors. The bed was soft and comfortable, and despite the large temperature swings in the Gobi Desert between day and night, the interior was well-insulated and never felt cold or damp. The en-suite bathroom was excellent, with 24-hour hot water and a full range of toiletries. It truly offered a luxurious wilderness experience that blended comfort with ambiance, without compromising on daily conveniences. However, the panoramic skylight at the top of the yurt was the real highlight and the biggest surprise of my trip. The camp is far from the city, meaning almost no light pollution. As night fell, the entire sky was unblocked and spread out above me. I didn't even have to step outside into the wind; I could lie in bed and gaze up at the countless stars. The Milky Way stretched clearly across the mountains, with stars so bright and dense – a magnificent night sky rarely seen in the city. Lying there quietly, watching the celestial river flow and listening to the distant Gobi breeze, all my travel fatigue slowly melted away. It was incredibly romantic and healing. The camp's amenities were also very thoughtful. In the evening, you can enjoy a starlit BBQ and hotpot. After dinner, there's a bonfire party. Then, after a stroll, you return to your yurt to continue enjoying the tranquil starry sky. The self-driving parking area is spacious, and RV resupply facilities are comprehensive. The staff were warm and meticulous in their service; they thoughtfully informed me of the best stargazing times and were always on hand to help with any issues. The unique Danxia mountain light show at night, coupled with the vast starry sky, created a multi-layered and stunning view. The special clear-broth suoyang hotpot was authentic and generously portioned, perfect for a hot meal after a day of exploring. Whether you're traveling as a couple or with friends, the Starry Sky Yurt is an exceptionally suitable choice. You can admire the Danxia landforms up close and immerse yourself in lying under the Milky Way – it perfectly combines natural beauty with comfortable accommodation. This is an unmissable gem when visiting Danxia, and I will definitely choose the Starry Sky Yurt again on my next trip to Zhangye.

The hotel is located in Danxiakou Town, a 5-minute drive from the Colorful Danxia. The town offers stunning scenery, a comprehensive range of dining, entertainment, and recreational facilities at affordable prices. There are numerous recreational facilities, highly recommended for photo opportunities, and a fantastic performance, ”Return to Zhangye,” is also on site. The hotel is situated in a small courtyard, offering a unique style and breathtaking views. The room was clean and comfortable, and the service was attentive. Any requests were promptly addressed. It was a very satisfying stay and highly recommended.

I booked a temporary hotel due to a temporary change of itinerary. I was pleasantly surprised. It is located in a park. Each room is separate and private. The car can be parked in front of the room, which is convenient for taking things. The starry sky at midnight is beautiful, and the surroundings are also beautiful. The price-performance ratio is really high. The toothbrush and comb are actually made of bamboo.

I booked the hotel because there is a pick-up service here. I called in advance to make an appointment. I didn't expect the hotel to be so close to the West High-speed Railway Station. As soon as I got on the car, I arrived at the next traffic light. It should be a maximum of 10 minutes on foot. The front desk was very welcoming when I entered the hotel and the check-in was quick. They also recommended nearby restaurants and attractions. The room is clean and tidy, fully equipped, the bathroom has a good dry and wet separation, and it is convenient for travel. Very good 🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪
