"It was a little disappointing when the receptionist was being quite unprofessional as I approached her for a spare room card. She told me that the guest was British after I told her my surname meaning that she didn't consider that a Chinese person can be British, how backwards and ****** such behavior this is. Lack of exposure might be the answer ;however, I was expecting a lot more from a 4 star establishment. Must I stress that the reason we conversed in Mandarin is a respect to the local staff yet it always backfires in situation like this. More training should be provided."

"This hostel is the highest quality I've ever stayed in. The rooms are all partitioned, the environment is clean, and the interior style is elegant. What pleasantly surprised me most was the room itself. Unlike traditional bunk beds and open cubicles, it felt no different from a private single room, apart from lacking a door and a shared hallway. I was lucky enough to be assigned room E, which had a desk, a chair, a bedside table, and a floor-to-ceiling window. My entire stay was incredibly comfortable and pleasant."

"The hotel is located in an apartment building, and I really liked the lobby's ambiance – the owner clearly put a lot of effort into decorating it. It's a great spot for a good chat with family and friends. Unfortunately, our outdoor itinerary was packed, so we only returned to the hotel late at night. They thoughtfully provided instant noodles and snacks in the room, and all the amenities were complete. I highly recommend staying here! 👍"

"Simply perfect... The overall quality and comfort were outstanding. The dorm room was spacious and airy, featuring a full-length mirror and a long table with benches in the center for guests to place their belongings. My bunk felt very comfortable and hassle-free, perhaps because I was assigned a lower bunk, which made getting in and out easy. The upper bunks might be a bit more inconvenient. A great plus was that even the lower bunks were quite high, unlike some hostels where the beds are so low you feel like you're almost lying on the floor. The shower facilities were very comfortable, and they even provided hair oil. The common areas were also delightful, cozy, and beautifully designed with excellent分区. Upon check-in, they gave me a small Tainan travel guide. I read it thoroughly and found it incredibly charming and useful. The memory of relaxing on the beanbag in the common area, reading and taking notes that evening, is still so vivid. All in all, I highly recommend this place to anyone planning a trip to Tainan."

"The hostel was fairly easy to locate, the building number was marked clearly and it's Google Maps location was spot-on. The host Jenny, was attentive and helpful during my stay, and very accommodating especially since I arrived a few hours prior to the official check-in time. Thanks to her kindness, I was able to leave my bags and begin exploring Tainan City immediately. Unfortunately I did not take any pictures of the room, but it was much bigger than I expected, and everything was kept neat and clean. I had no issues with the bathroom facilities as well, the water was hot and had decent pressure, which was extremely relieving after a long day of walking around the city. Overall, I would definitely stay here again, if I was to visit Tainan, it's proximity to Tainan station was handy as I had flown in from Kaohsiung and had to return early in the morning."

"We stayed at Avon's Airbnb for three days and had a very pleasant experience. On our first day, Avon and her husband gave us a warm welcome, complete with delicious cake. Avon gave us tons of food recommendations based on our preferences, and we ended up trying over 20 local eateries in Tainan – we only wished we had bigger stomachs! The room was super clean and the bedding was incredibly comfortable. My husband even wanted to ask Avon where she bought the pillows because he slept so well (he's very particular about beds and pillows, and used to even bring his own when traveling, but Taiwan was too far for that). Getting around was also very convenient, with so many delicious local snacks nearby; three days just wasn't enough to try everything. We definitely want to stay in Tainan longer if we get the chance again. A big thank you to Avon and her husband! Just a small suggestion: a little stool by the door would make putting on shoes much easier when heading out."
