New Hotels in Tainan

"1. Centralized Aircon, aka if neighbour just happened to be smoking, the room might temporarily get some second hand smoke.There's window but I'm not sure how to open this kind, until I went to the next hotel haha. 2. Bedroom is big & spacious. Bed and quilt are fine. Slight sensitive skin irritation on day 1 then my skin has adapted to the bed. Has extra pillows that might be cleaner but I didn't use them. 3. Location is ok. Within 1km walking distance from many good local foods that are cheap and tasty. Free bicycle rental which can save some walking. 4. Bathroom is fine, quite big too. Mandatory to stand in the bathtub in order to use the shower head. Couldn't stick the pipe to only use shower head so did some temporary workaround. 5. Soundproof is not good, but didn't impact much except when a kid screamed and ran outside for God knows why. 6. An insect (or is it tw-cockroach version?) crawled out from a corner on my last day... I scared it then it ran back into hiding. 7. There's a water dispenser at the lobby (stage area), free snacks and tea bags. 8. Didn't want to keep towels in the wardrobe space with hanger or on the towel rack above toilet bowl, so can air dry in bathroom, as long it's not toooo heavy. 9. Door has double lock but no chain, so can use a hanger as workaround. Overall: there are a lot of workarounds that I can do, hence the stay was pretty pleasant. The price is definitely worth the stay."

"This used to be the Tainan Business Hotel, and it's recently reopened under new management. The environment and space are really spacious, offering great value for money, and the service is above average. The overall space is open and clean, though it's a shame the tap water has a slight metallic taste. The breakfast selection has everything you'd expect and is quite fresh."

"This was my first time staying in a hostel with such spacious pods. The bottom bunk was tall enough to sit up straight, and I could even fully extend my arms without touching the top bunk! 😳 The bed frame was also very sturdy; there was no shaking at all when people on the top bunk moved around, and the blackout curtain provided great privacy. The only downside is that I wish there were regular two-pronged outlets in addition to the USB and Type C ports by the bed. The USB and Type C ports charged so slowly; my devices didn't even fully charge overnight. Other than the outlet issue, everything else was perfect!"

"It was a bit tricky to find the entrance at first because the hotel is tucked away in an alley off the main street. I was also a little worried since I use a budget SIM and couldn't add them on Line via ID. However, after doing the online check-in, I clicked on the QR key display icon, and a button to add them as a Line friend popped up, so I was able to connect. Once added on Line, I could save the QR key as an image and also check the Wi-Fi password, which was a relief. You can open both the main entrance and your room door with the QR code. The facilities are good: hot water in the shower works well, the hairdryer is good, A/C is good, indoor slippers are provided, and Wi-Fi is good. However, the refrigerator is shared. There's no shower curtain, so if you shower normally, the toilet, trash can, and other items get soaked, which is a bit unavoidable. Typical for Tainan, fighter jets were flying until around 7:30 PM, and I was woken up by their sound again around 7 AM. They did provide earplugs for 10 TWD, but I wasn't bothered by the noise. You can also hear the street motorbikes quite a bit, but it quieted down after 9 PM, so it didn't bother me when sleeping. There are gaps in the door, so mosquitoes and flies could potentially get in. They provided a plug-in mosquito repellent, but I didn't use it. The location is great: a 7-Eleven is just a 5-minute walk away. If you walk for 10 minutes, you'll reach a shopping street that connects trendy and traditional areas, so you can enjoy the evenings. I personally didn't find the subway station too far either, so I think choosing this hotel that AI recommended was the right decision."

"Facilities: Everything you need is available. Self-service laundry costs extra. There's no bottled water, so you need to bring your own kettle from the room to the self-service laundry area by the elevator to get water. Cleanliness: Spotless, not a speck of dust. Environment: Right outside, there are all sorts of snack stalls and restaurants, and 50嵐 (50 Lan) bubble tea is right at the entrance. Service: It's okay, quite an eco-friendly service!"

"Parking nearby is fairly convenient! The room is spacious, simply furnished, and the bed is comfortable! The entire floor of an old office building has been renovated; it's a good choice for business travelers looking for food! It's very close to the city center and attractions—walking distance!"
