Hualien Hotels with Rooftop Pools

"I had high hopes for my stay at the Lakeshore, but unfortunately, the experience didn't quite live up to them. It feels like they're too focused on maximizing profits and less on guest experience. For example, the laundry room charges a fee, and another laundry room is only for backpackers, which I find illogical. The afternoon tea for hotel guests only offered two or three types of biscuits; they really shouldn't be calling that afternoon tea. On a positive note, the intern at the entrance was very enthusiastic and deserves praise."

"Best best best hotel we have ever stayed in. Services provided was excellent. All staff were very genuinely. It really felt like a 5 star hotel. We stayed in another 5 star hotel in Jiaoxi which is No. 1 in Jiaoxi but the service cannot be matched. Well done to all the staff. Room was always clean. Thank you to the staff who cleaned our spectacle. It was a nice gesture. Different snacks were topped up everyday. The face mask provided was so good! Surrounding of the hotel was very nice. We had the gorge view and OMG! We don't mind waking up to this view everyday. We hope they will contruct a stairs for guest to go down to the gorge. It is a waste to just see it from the top. Breakfast was good. We could see that they have made an effort to label which is vegetarian and which is not. It's very thoughtful of the restaurant. However, we had a seafood porridge and thought it was purely seafood but notice there was chicken in it but not written. Maybe they can improve in this. Kids are very well entertained in this hotel. They have a huge play room for them. Indoor pool with heated pool is enough to keep the kids occupied for 2hours at least. They also have daily activities and some are free. Thank you Silk Place for the wonderful stay. We will be back."

"Island Tour (Hualien), stay in a deluxe sea view double room, 4 rooms on the first floor, the room is very large, the balcony looks out to Hualien Port, you can see the sea and the ship loading and unloading goods and entering and exiting the port, it is great, the service staff are also very good Great, friendly to road bikes. There is a dedicated area and gym for road bikes on the second floor. The breakfast is okay. The small drawback is that the partition wall of the bathing area in the room is small, and water easily splashes into the sleeping area. The water dispenser uses a large bucket of spring water to heat and drink ( Not good for babies and children), I hope filtered drinking water can be improved and the opportunity will be better."

"The hotel's environment is good, at the foot of the mountain, you can walk uphill. The hotel itself has a hot spring spa, although there are not many pools, but it is authentic enough. There is also a water park and swimming pool. The environment inside the hotel is quiet and the bridge is flowing. The breakfast buffet is rich and the parking is convenient. The rooms are clean and spacious with their own bubble pool."

"The room was incredible. Very Modern, large, beautifully designed and furnished. Bed very comfortable. Medium softness. Bathroom luxurious. Had a table and corner seating area in the room. Large windows with incredible views of the harbour. The main foyer is beautiful. You really feel like a resort hotel. Location right in the heart of the city. Only 10 in taxi from train station. Breakfast great option, many options. The staff are very friendly, attentive, helpful. They booked a last minute private driver CJ Chen for a 5 hour tour into the gorge. Good English and knowledgeable. This is the nicest hotel we have stayed in while in Taiwan."

"Dinner was the same for two consecutive nights. I wish at least one-third of the dinners were different. I would carefully consider this option if I were planning to stay for multiple consecutive nights next time. The bed was also problematic; the person sleeping next to me kept being shaken awake when they turned over, making me think it was an earthquake. The pillows were too flat and lacked support, causing me to get a stiff neck. I hope they can provide higher, more supportive pillows."

"The appearance of the homestay is very beautiful, and it looks particularly beautiful among the many homestays in Hualien. Is it a small single-family villa with a separate gate, garden, and paddling pool? When I arrived in Hualien, it was before the check-in time at noon, so I chartered a car to Chihsingtan, Taroko. When he returned to the bed and breakfast in the evening, his son couldn't wait to play in the water, but he found that the depth of the water was less than 80 cm when he went into the water. The homestay is not in the center of Hualien City, but it is very convenient for the boss to call a taxi to Dongdaen Night Market. It only costs NT$100, which is cheaper than taxiing 150 by yourself. The triple room booked is quite big, with a small bed on the floor. In fact, when booking a double room, two large beds and one big bed are enough. But because of the children’s breakfast, I simply booked a triple room. Breakfast is a simple sandwich prepared by the hotel, which is enough. Overall, I was very satisfied. My son said he would like to stay a few more days, only next time."

"We were very satisfied with our stay with family, both in terms of service and facilities. Firstly, they offered a complimentary shuttle service from Hualien Station to the hotel, and our driver, Xiao Gang, kindly introduced Hualien along the way. Upon arriving at the hotel, the front desk staff helped us carry our luggage to our room. The outdoor swimming pool was also very comfortable, with live music playing by the poolside, showing the hotel's attention to detail. We opted for the one-night, two-meal package, and both dinner and breakfast featured a wide variety of delicious ingredients. The bathroom in our room even had a steam room. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Hualien."

"This is truly the best eco-luxury hotel in Taiwan. Everything, from the accommodation quality and the environment to the service, is impeccable. There are so many activities available, both free and paid, making it an excellent choice for a family vacation. It was such a pleasant surprise to see peacocks freely roaming and even flying within the Feng Zhi Gu ecological park. The new mall and walking path located between the Starbucks and 7-Eleven nearby are also definitely worth exploring. The only slight downside is that they don't offer bicycle rentals that can be ridden outside the park. If you have specific guest activities you'd like to participate in, it's best to check the activity schedule and confirm by phone before making your booking and travel arrangements."
