"Very attentive + attentive + sincere hotel. The service is kind, and the call is made before you check in to greet your needs and dining preferences. The rooms and facilities are exquisite. Next to the beach, the balcony looks at the sea and the mountains. It is worth enjoying again, but unfortunately it can only be rated five stars, if there are six stars, it would be great, 👍"

"Beautiful hotel! The building is a little older but everything is very well maintained, the rooms are large, very clean, bright, comfortable and pretty, I've been travelling for 6 weeks now and this was the best place I stayed at so far. The staff are very kind and helpful, I had some issues due to a typhoon and had to spontaneously add another night but it all went smoothly. The location is excellent, you can even see the main station from the entrance of the hotel, that's how close it is! All the buses to all the sightseeing places (and everywhere else too, really) depart from the main bus station, which is even closer still (and Dongdamen night market is actually also still walking distance, takes about half an hour). Nonetheless it was nice and quiet at night. Plenty of convenience stores around too and a full supermarket is right next to it as well. Breakfast was good too! Would absolutely stay there again and now that I'm in the next hotel (definitely not as nice already)I kind of miss it already..."

"Because of the limited number of people, we needed to add an extra bed. The owner was very friendly and immediately helped us adjust to a four-person room. The environment was also very beautiful, and they even provided a drip coffee upon check-in. The only downside was the limited parking spaces; the area was small and parking was difficult. Overall, I would recommend it! 👍🏻"

Large windows with incredible views of the harbour. The main foyer is beautiful. You really feel like a resort hotel. Location right in the heart of the city. Only 10 in taxi from train station. Breakfast great option, many options. The staff are very friendly, attentive, helpful. They booked a last minute private driver CJ Chen for a 5 hour tour into the gorge. Good English and knowledgeable. This is the nicest hotel we have stayed in while in Taiwan."

"This was a business trip, so I didn't have much time to use the facilities. The front desk staff were rather indifferent (though not to everyone), but the environment and location were excellent. "First off, the hotel is a bit far from the other parts of Hualien so its best suited for those who are just plannning to stay around the hotel or the ”Ocean Park” nearby, although this is mitigated by the shuttle they offer to the train station and back. But for my purposes that was fine. The hotel is quite large and has many facilities, including both outdoor and indoor pool (outdoor pool closed during winter seasons). Views are quite nince and more than justify the cost. Advised perhaps to go in the summer when the outdoro pool is open and there are less cloudsl, though undoubtedily will be more epxennnnsive. But on a sunny day I imagine it would be hard to beat the value offered by this place I believe, especialyl if you are content to just gaze at the ocean rather than go to places like Taroko gorge."

One of the better (if not the best) hotel chains I’ve stayed at in Taiwan. I’ve visited Taiwan about 10 times and stayed here for 2 nights, and overall I was very satisfied with the experience. They provide free bicycles (3 hours limit), which is useful for getting around Hualien. Breakfast has a good spread, and there are complimentary ice cream and drinks available in the lobby around the clock. We didn’t realise they also offer late-night supper from 7pm to 9pm, which was honestly as good as a proper dinner buffet, with a good mix of Western and Chinese dishes and even live entertainment. The room was spacious and well maintained, with no hygiene concerns. Shower water pressure was good. Noise levels were generally fine, though louder sounds like furniture movement could occasionally be heard. The hotel is conveniently located near a convenience store, restaurants, KTV, and a cinema, and it’s about a 10-minute walk from the station. You can also cycle to the night market within 15 minutes, making it super easy to get around the main area without getting a taxi. Overall, a very good stay and very good value for money. While a gym would be nice, I would definitely consider staying at other branches on future trips.

Best best best hotel we have ever stayed in. Services provided was excellent. All staff were very genuinely. It really felt like a 5 star hotel. We stayed in another 5 star hotel in Jiaoxi which is No. 1 in Jiaoxi but the service cannot be matched. Well done to all the staff. Room was always clean. Thank you to the staff who cleaned our spectacle. It was a nice gesture. Different snacks were topped up everyday. The face mask provided was so good! Surrounding of the hotel was very nice. We had the gorge view and OMG! We don't mind waking up to this view everyday. We hope they will contruct a stairs for guest to go down to the gorge. It is a waste to just see it from the top. Breakfast was good. We could see that they have made an effort to label which is vegetarian and which is not. It's very thoughtful of the restaurant. However, we had a seafood porridge and thought it was purely seafood but notice there was chicken in it but not written. Maybe they can improve in this. Kids are very well entertained in this hotel. They have a huge play room for them. Indoor pool with heated pool is enough to keep the kids occupied for 2hours at least. They also have daily activities and some are free. Thank you Silk Place for the wonderful stay. We will be back.

My stay here last year was great, so I decided to come back for my round-the-island trip this year. When checking in, I asked the front desk about motorcycle parking. The staff member, whose name tag said 'Intern,' told me I could park anywhere on the white lines along the road next to the hotel. I then asked if the parking lot across the street, where I parked last year, was still an option. A man and a woman next to the counter said that was for cars and heavy motorcycles (even though I wasn't riding a heavy motorcycle last year either). I said 'okay' and went to look for white lines on the road next to the hotel (as shown in the photo). Turns out, the road had just been repaved and there were no markings at all. If you expect us to find our own parking, you should at least clarify that the road markings are gone. I'm not a local, so how would I know what markings used to be there? And the full-time staff member next to the intern also just replied, as if it wasn't their problem, 'You can park on the white lines nearby.' Where exactly are these 'nearby white lines'? Anyway, the breakfast was good. If you're on a budget, I highly recommend this place.

The staff were exceptionally welcoming and friendly, making our stay truly enjoyable. The room was spacious and well-maintained, adding to the overall comfort of our visit. Azure Hotel is strategically located, with Dong Da Men Night Market just a short walk away, which was very convenient. On top of that, the hotel provides complimentary parking for guests, which was a very convenient bonus for us.

Had a very underwhelming experience for the money that we paid for this hotel. Decor was very outdated (i.e. 2000s), which was understandable as this is an old hotel. Service staff was quite rude when we asked for directions and recommendations for food and things to see around the area. Do note that the carpark is very small and there are no parking lots surrounding the area. When we checked in, the carpark attendant told us that their carpark lot was at full capacity.

What they do well: 1. The hotel service is excellent; there's an usher as soon as you enter the lobby. 2. The public areas are clean and well-maintained. Areas for improvement: 1. Soundproofing: I could hear snoring from the adjacent room. 2. Tip prompt card on the bedside table: The staff didn't do anything beyond their standard duties, so why should I be prompted to tip proactively? 3. The sauna facilities are dirty and old. The shower area, with six spots, felt full with just three people.

Overall a good experience (except one thing - see in the bottom). The location is somewhat central and on the walking promenade, but not very close to the railway station or the waterfront. About 25-35 min walk to the railway station but still okay. About 15 min to the waterfront. Food options: there are a couple of local restaurants right near across from the promenade, including a noodle shop, a tempura donburi and a fried seafood place - all along the promenade. There's also a PX Mart not too far away, about 5 min walk. The rooms are spacious and clean, very new renovation (as of 2025, seems like 2023-2024), no fridge in the room (on the first floor only), but there's a kettle. The bed was somewhat stiff but okay. Overall felt like great value for the location and the quality, and especially the room size. The only drawback - Easy to fix - was the towels. There was no proper size bathroom towels on my stay in May 2025. The small towels are rather insuficcient for showering.

The room wasn't as comfortable as it looked in the pictures. The caulk in the bathroom was moldy everywhere. Even through the bedsheet, you could see old stains (bloodstains) on the mattress. It made me feel a bit uneasy staying there. The mini-fridge in the room was just for show (it was broken and didn't cool). Although there's a free snack and drink bar downstairs, there's definitely a lot of room for improvement in terms of cleanliness and hygiene.

The location is convenient and close to the city. The exterior is beautiful and the garden makes people feel relaxed. However, the parking lot is too far from the hotel building. The beds are comfortable and the TV equipment is new.

Check-in convenience: Self check-in was quite convenient; communication via WeChat/Line was possible. The night market is a 10-minute walk away. Safety: Good location, very safe. Facilities: As pictured, a 'prison-style' experience, which I definitely felt. Hygiene: Hygiene was acceptable. Environment: The environment was unique, worth experiencing.
