TravelGuy2I was in town to see the city of Kathmandu, and the hotel was a great jumping-off place. The staff were very friendly and helpful in helping me see the city. They even set up tours and gave me their WhatsApp contact to ensure my tour went well. The breakfast was great, with a good selection of food options. The gym was the highlight of the hotel. You don’t very often see hotel gyms with a high-quality air bike. I highly recommend this hotel.

Guest UserWe knew the service would be good as soon as we booked, and within hours we received a welcome email, listing the ways we could contact them if we needed to.
On the pick up at the airport, they were speedy and efficient and the taxi ride only took us 20 minutes with traffic.
As we walked through the door we were blown away by the interior decoration, only then to find that hotel had been a former palace!
Historic artifacts and pictures were strewn through the hallways and the outside only matched the royal feel with perfection.
We stayed in the royal suite, with a big bed and balcony. The staff were great, the breakfast was standard for off peak times and although the location isn't in the depth of Thamel, the area most will go out for eating and drinking, it was within 30 minutes drive of most landmarks and as it was the ambassedy/ office worker area, there was a nice vibe.
There were some things that can't be controlled. The hotel did a good job of providing heat as the weather in February is still chilly.
The pollution was real. Especially as you walk nearer the streets, something to think about if you are sensitive to this. Apart from that, It was all really wonderful. Niraj Yadav the receptionist and the team, we thank you dearly.

Luce96I had an exceptional stay at Dusit Princess Hotel in Kathmandu! From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making me feel at home right away. The hotel itself is beautifully designed, blending modern architecture with a touch of traditional Nepalese charm. My room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and equipped with fresh fruit and a kind hand written card.
The dining experience was outstanding, with a range of delicious options at the thai restaurant and the rooftop bar. The breakfast buffet was a particular highlight, offering a great selection to start the day.
I also had the chance to unwind at the hotel’s spa and fitness center, both of which were top-notch. Really enjoyed the use the sauna and steam room. The location is ideal as well, with easy access to major attractions and shopping areas in Kathmandu.
Overall, Dusit Princess exceeded all my expectations. The service, facilities, and atmosphere were all impeccable, and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommend it for anyone visiting Kathmandu!

Anonymous UserI recently had the pleasure of staying at Ramada by Encore Kathmandu, and I cannot recommend it highly enough! The staff were exceptionally friendly and always went out of their way to make sure my stay was comfortable. Check-in was a breeze, and the team was always available to assist with any inquiries.
The rooms were nothing short of amazing—spacious, beautifully decorated, and equipped with all the amenities one could need. I was particularly impressed with how silent they were, allowing for a restful night's sleep after a long day of exploring the city.
The hotel's location is perfect, providing easy access to many local attractions and dining options. Whether you want to venture out for sightseeing or simply relax, this hotel has it all.
Overall, my experience at Ramada by Encore Kathmandu was fantastic, and I will definitely be returning on my next trip to Kathmandu!

magnolia68This is one of the few modern and sophisticated hotels you'll find in Nepal. I booked a room without breakfast because my schedule was uncertain. After arriving and seeing the hotel's condition, I decided to book breakfast for the next day. The international buffet offered a diverse and clean selection of food, and it was delicious. Amidst the chaos and noise of Kathmandu, I had a quiet and clean stay here and left feeling well-rested. The quality was much higher than a 300,000 won hotel in Pokhara.

good room, very friendly reception staff. be ready for small steep roads around the area. english is a bit of a challenge, it was difficult to talk to the in room dining and spa staff, however you can ask for the reception to help. we came during election day which we didn't know so everything was closed and vehicles were not available. walking around the area is kind of a hike because there are some steep small roads to go around. if you are fit, then it wont be an issue. a lot of stray dogs as well.

Our stay at Gokarna was underwhelming. We had selected it based on their website that included a description of biking but when we arrived, there was no organized biking activities. The rooms were fine but a bit overpriced (although the beds were very comfortable). The food was unremarkable and expensive by local standards. Breakfast was not even set up when we went at 7AM. The pool was on the cold side and then charged 1800 rupees extra to use the sad little jacuzzi in the change room. There was a very noisy wedding on site the night we were there that kept us up. It can be challenging to get a taxi to the location. The golf course is beautiful though.

This is already one of the top hotels in Nepal, so there's no need to be overly demanding. The service was excellent, the doorman was particularly polite, and you can ask the staff for lattes at breakfast—they were delicious. However, the female chef making waffles in the restaurant seemed to discriminate between Chinese and South Asians; she was very hospitable to South Asians but ignored the Chinese.

The hotel service is very professional, the breakfast is rich, and the front desk service is warm and thoughtful. When I asked for water, it was delivered quickly. There is also a hair dryer in the hotel, and the hot water for bathing is very comfortable.
Many Chinese people go to other places to find Chinese food, but they find that the most authentic Chinese food is on the ninth floor above the hotel. And the chocolate brownie here is very authentic. It was supposed to be eaten with ice cream, but I asked for hot ice cream, and the hotel immediately made hot ice cream. There is the largest farmer's market in Kathmandu next to the hotel, and 6 big apples cost less than 20 yuan. You can buy all kinds of vegetables and fruits here.
Because Kathmandu is often congested, if you connect with a flight, the hotel is very close to the airport, which is another big advantage.
