"My husband and I stayed here for four days. We opted for a bungalow by the pool. The air conditioning in the room was a pleasant surprise – it was quiet and positioned so it didn't blow directly on us. We really liked the bungalow's location; everything was conveniently close. The beach was clean, there were plenty of sun loungers, and the trees provided ample shade. Breakfast was good, and the staff were very friendly. If you decide to have lunch at the restaurant, I highly recommend trying the seafood Tom Kha soup; it's absolutely delicious. The coffee was also good. A shop and massage parlors were also just a 10-minute walk away. The hotel grounds are incredibly beautiful, with an abundance of flowers, shrubs, plants, pathways, and charming bridges. We would gladly return here!"

"My friend and I stayed here for 6 days and really enjoyed it. It’s a peaceful, family-friendly resort — most guests were older or families with kids, but it was never noisy. The soundproofing is great, AC worked non-stop without issues, and you can keep devices running even after leaving the room with your key card. Beach towels, robes, umbrellas, and slippers are provided for free. The room was clean enough to walk barefoot (yes, tested with white socks!). Daily amenities like toothbrushes, cotton swabs, and soap came sealed, and shampoo/shower gel was always stocked. There’s a veranda with a table and chairs, plenty of storage, and a mini bar priced fairly. Breakfast is decent, coffee was great. Staff are friendly, though they may knock even with the “Do Not Disturb” sign on. 7/11 and juice stalls are right outside, and it’s about 15–20 mins to central Chaweng on foot. You can get massages, tours, taxis, and currency exchange nearby. The beach might be the best in Chaweng — calm, clean, and safe for kids to swim. We were very satisfied and would definitely stay again."

"I am delighted! Nice, cozy place. The staff is super polite, like in a luxury hotel. There is a swimming pool. The room was very comfortable, smelled nice. The only thing was that there was an unpleasant strange smell in the bathroom. And maybe the room could be painted a little. And I was a little upset that they changed the roofs, they are not like in the photo in the description, I really like this natural design. There is a refrigerator, umbrella, water, air conditioning. The beach is not far away. I was very pleased. I recommend!"

With the complete facilities of the hotel, you feel like you are at home. Getting there was a bit difficult because the taxi had to be able to go up. But the hotel car was there until 8pm. "Great location on the beach front, plus in the party area of Koh Sumai. Easy walk to cafes, restaurants, and bars. Many small shops for shopping, for clothes, bags, swimwear and much more, mainly set up for the happy tourists. Again, it is close to a shopping mall, with quite a few high-end retailers. The hotel is older but in reasonable condition. Our room was comfortable, clean. The bedding was ok, clean and comfortable. The restaurant on site was on the beach front, along with the pool. The food at the restaurant was quite good, with a good variety. The pool is dated but a popular spot for the guests. Our room had one problem, and that was a funky smell in the bathroom. It was quite overwhelming at times. The shower pressure was ok. The WiFi was ok. Staff were very helpful when needed. Bonus is able to rent motor scooters through the hotel. Overall a very enjoyable stay."

"I’m staying for three days, and I’m a bit torn about it. Let’s start with the cons: 1. The room is small and a bit dated, and it could really use a makeover inside. 2. The shower drain in the bathroom is clogged, so if you shower and water splashes into the toilet, it won’t drain because it’s stuck there. 3. The walkway can be a bit bumpy if you’re staying near the beach, so it might not be the best option for seniors or people with mobility issues. 4. It’s a bit of a trek from the city center, so you’ll need to rent a car. Now, the pros: 1. The service is amazing, and the staff are super friendly! 2. They have their own bar and restaurant at a reasonable price. Plus, they offer motorcycle rentals, kayaking, snorkeling gear, and laundry services. 3. It’s absolutely beautiful! The views are incredible! This is their own private beach, and almost every corner is perfect for Instagram."

"The staff there were excellent and very friendly. There were issues with day beds by the pool as people would leave their towels there all day, it needed more policing by staff. By the third day there were never any pool towels or day beds available. Cleaning of the rooms took most of the day which was annoying as they would knock in the afternoon when you were getting ready to go out. You weren't supposed to flush toilet paper down the toilet (so much for a 5 star resort). My friends room was infested with wasps, they sprayed the room however, you could not enter for 2 hours. It was expensive in comparison to other hotels where we have received 5 star service."

While there was a small mix-up on the first day—I was placed in a sea-view room instead of the beachfront room I’d booked—the staff promptly corrected the error the next day. Though I wish the transition had been seamless, the rooms were equally priced, and the team handled the situation professionally. Beyond that, the service here is outstanding. The staff’s thoughtfulness surpassed even my experiences at five-star hotels—they genuinely care about guest comfort. One evening when I stayed offsite, they even reached out via WhatsApp to check on me! I regret not catching the names of the help desk team, as they were all exceptional. As for the beachfront room, it was breathtaking. Waking up to floor-to-ceiling views of the ocean felt like a dream. The resort’s atmosphere, combined with the staff’s warmth, made this a memorable stay. Minor rooming issue aside, I highly recommend Sand Sea Beach Resort. "We stayed here in April 2025. We moved to Lipa Noi from Chaweng Noi beach, as we were looking for a more rustic, village-like vibe. A few days before check-in, we drove past the hotel. From the road, I must say, it looks quite unremarkable, and we started to doubt our choice. However, the hotel lived up to our expectations. Excellent value for money. We booked a villa with a small private pool. After researching all the hotels on the island, this was the best deal we found on Koh Samui for a private pool – couldn't find anything cheaper. Rooms in this category are located across the road from the main building, but this wasn't an issue at all. The room was excellent: clean, quiet, and had everything we needed, including a new bathroom. It also featured a small private fenced-off area with its own sun loungers and umbrella, and a mini-pool with a waterfall and lighting. We definitely wished the pool was deeper; we're used to small pools, but not quite *this* shallow 😅. Still, it was perfectly fine for cooling off on a hot day. The only downside in the room was the transparent ceiling in the bathroom, which made it very stuffy during the day. When booking, we chose between this room and a Tropical villa with a mini-pool in the hotel's main area. If you value privacy, definitely book the villa across the road. Despite the lush greenery, all the pools in the Tropical villas are visible from the hotel pathways. **Regarding the location:** This is where we truly fell in love with Koh Samui. It's a small village, but it has everything you need. Within walking distance of the hotel, there are several cafes and massage places, a currency exchange, and a 7/11 not far away. However, a scooter is still essential. The roads here are empty and very scenic. Not far, if you drive towards the pier, there's an excellent family-run cafe with very reasonable prices and delicious food. The hotel has a compact, green property with small bridges and ponds with fish. There's also a large parking lot. The breakfasts were decent, and it was quiet and peaceful; there weren't many guests in April. There were always empty sun loungers on the beach and by the main pool, even though there weren't many to begin with. The massage service was a bit pricey; given the low number of guests, they could have offered a discount, which would have made us less inclined to look for massages elsewhere. The beach itself is very quiet, with a narrow strip of light, clean, and soft sand – it's aesthetically pleasing for a stroll. However, the sea in April was not swimmable. It was shallow, with stagnant, warm, greenish water and a very silty bottom. I had read reviews, but I wasn't prepared for just *how* bad it was. In total, we only went into the sea once and didn't attempt it again. The main pool was also boiling hot, so our mini-pool was a lifesaver."

"This place is a true paradise!!! From the moment you arrive, you feel like a valued and welcome guest. The bungalows are wonderful. Everything is clean, beautiful, and the birds are singing. It's definitely not a hotel for the younger crowd, but those 30+ and beyond will surely love it. Very respectable standards, excellent management! Great breakfast. Simply delightful 🤩, I highly recommend it. The restaurant, unfortunately, doesn't offer much variety and the prices are quite steep. And it would be great if the pool could stay open until at least 8 PM. I would be thrilled to return again!!! Thank you for the hospitality. 🙏"
