"The room was very spacious and clean, with a large balcony. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised with a bottle of chilled sparkling wine and dessert. The front desk staff spoke Chinese and were exceptionally friendly every month. When cleaning the room, they even replaced the ice in the ice bucket. Every afternoon, small snacks were delivered. One day, I returned to a cleaned room, but I had messed up the bed. During the short time I went out for dinner, the staff who delivered snacks also tidied up the room again and re-made the bed – fantastic! The views at Silavadee Resort are truly amazing, and the pool water is exceptionally clean. As soon as we got to the pool, staff immediately brought us iced lemonade, which was a lovely touch. The hotel breakfast was fantastic, offering both Western buffet and a la carte options, and everything tasted delicious. I especially loved the a la carte lobster rolls and fried rice; the lobster rolls had large chunks of lobster meat, and I easily had at least two every day, haha. All drinks were made to order, including various coffees, teas, and other beverages. Of course, there were also fresh juices at the buffet. The only minor drawback is that it's a bit far from the main road, but everything else was perfect. Our child had a great time and said they want to stay at Silavadee again next time we visit Koh Samui."

"We stayed at the hotel for 21 days. It was wonderful! We'll definitely be back next year 🌴 We had a suite in the main building and loved it. It was quiet, cozy, and comfortable for a family with 3 kids. Key advantages: Excellent Wi-Fi throughout the entire property. Breakfasts were decent; we never went hungry. All the hotel staff were absolute darlings, we miss you all so much 🩷 Good quality bedding and towels. Timely room cleaning. The hotel grounds are something else entirely 😍, like a jungle. Everything is beautiful and well-maintained. There's pleasant shade during the heat, and birds singing everywhere. Never had an issue with golf carts. Just a call and they'd be right there to pick you up. We often had lunch or dinner on-site – everything was delicious. The sea here is magnificent. The water color is fantastic. It's interesting to walk along the beach in both directions. Great location – everything is nearby. We rented a motorbike from the hotel, which was very convenient. Disadvantages: Coconuts on the property were a bit pricey, especially when you're staying for 21 days and drinking them daily. 😉 The pillows were a bit too high for us; we had neck pain. The lobby area on the first floor of our building was a bit depressing. The disadvantages were absolutely minor and didn't affect our vacation mood at all. "What an incredible stay. From the moment we arrived, everything felt effortless. The location is perfect, right on the beach, with beautiful surroundings and a relaxed atmosphere that makes it very hard to leave. The service is truly five star. The staff are absolutely outstanding and go above and beyond in every way. Nothing is too much trouble, and they genuinely care about making your stay special. It is rare to experience hospitality at this level. The whole experience felt polished, professional, and luxurious. One of the best hotels we have stayed in. Yes, it is expensive, but in this case you genuinely get what you pay for. We did not mind paying for that level of service and quality. We would absolutely return."

"Cons: 1. The biggest issue: the king-size bed is made up of two single beds pushed together, with two mattresses and two mattress toppers. This setup doesn't create a single, unified surface, resulting in a sloped gap in the middle. If you're sleeping three to a bed (with a child) or as a couple cuddling, someone will end up in that gap. I slept like that for all six nights and woke up with a sore back. This is the biggest drawback of this hotel, and I wouldn't recommend it if this is a critical factor for you. 2. The bed linen and towels often look worn out (not pristine white). 3. The doors (entrance, bathroom) have sagged. There's a finger-width gap between the door and the frame. This means all the mosquitoes will be in your room. 4. There's no ventilation in the room at all. The only window is fixed shut. So, to get fresh air into the room, you have to live with the door open. 5. The family deluxe bungalows are separated from the road by a wall. You sit on your veranda and stare at this wall. It feels like being in a concrete box. If they put some ivy on it, the view would be much better. 6. The breakfasts are average; there's room for improvement. There's no variety. The croissants are dense and cottony, and the muffins are heavy. There's no choice for children at all – they should add waffles and pancakes to the menu. The omelet, however, is tasty. 7. The bungalows are clustered together, with little privacy between them. 8. They don't set up tables on the sand (on the beach) in the evenings – it would have been nice to have that for a romantic dinner. 9. The hotel lacks Thai soulfulness in its decor and small details. Pros: 1. Well-maintained green grounds. The gardener does a great job. 2. Good room cleaning. 3. The hotel grounds are clean. 4. Good beach. Good sun loungers (though some are already torn at the feet and breaking down). 5. Beautiful restaurant (veranda area). 6. The family deluxe bungalow is spacious (we stayed with an 11-year-old child and it was comfortable). 7. The bungalow is very bright, with many good light sources. 8. Good service at reception. 9. They congratulated me with a cake for my birthday – a nice touch."

"Quiet and relaxing hotel with several bungalows. We stayed in a sea-view bungalow, and it couldn’t have been better — sitting on the terrace at sunset was simply perfect. The lovely little beach always has available sunbeds, and the pool is ideal for a quick swim with an amazing view. The lush green surroundings with banana and papaya trees are one of my favorite things about this place."

"The cabins are basic but comfortable and have all the basic amenities you may need. The beach at this resort wasn't the nicest, but the pools were spacious and clean. One issue is that the resort is divided into two segments by a public road that's currently under construction, so it makes navigating the resort a bit difficult."

"Comfortable, clean, and pleasantly surprised. This is my third time in Koh Samui, and I have stayed in several of the most popular hotels. This time I want to change to some new hotels. This time I booked a seaside homestay for the first three nights, and stayed here for the last night. Because there are three children in the family, we need two rooms, and this two-bedroom and one-living room is just right. The whole design of the room is very comfortable, the details are especially clean, and the living room and dining table facing the beautiful scenery are really pleasing to the eye. The key is that the price-performance ratio is super high at more than 2,000 a night👍👍👍"

"Avani is tucked away in a quiet area of Koh Samui, which was perfect for us as we were looking for a relaxing getaway. We booked a villa with a private pool, which was a great choice and made our stay even more enjoyable. The resort offers complimentary shuttle services to and from four different locations, which are included with every reservation. We also had an additional shuttle service included with the type of room we booked. The service was excellent, and all the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. We had a really lovely time at the resort. The only downside was the low tide in front of the resort. The water is quite far out, so you need to walk for around 10 minutes if you want to swim in the sea. There’s a good range of activities available, so you could easily fill your week if you wanted to. The hotel can also arrange boat tours and other excursions. Breakfast was good, and the restaurant offered a surprisingly varied selection considering the resort only has one kitchen. I’d definitely recommend Avani Samui to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway, especially for a family holiday. If being able to explore the island independently is important to you, I’d recommend hiring a rental car. Otherwise, you can easily use the hotel shuttle or Grab, which is what we did. I’m sure the reception team would also be more than happy to help organise transportation if needed."

"Service was excellent right from the start. We could have breakfast in room for one the mornings. Our “secret room” was exclusive and super private. Room service tasted awesome. The team initiated late check out at 3pm to accomodate our departure flight back. Super recommended if you are coming for your special occasion trips or just a restful getaway. Location is 3min from Central Samui where supermarkets and restaurants are just stone’s throw away."
