We really loved staying here, but our check-in experience was disappointing.
We arrived at the hotel at 4:00 PM, but the room was not ready, even though the official check-in time is 2:00 PM. The front desk staff informed us that the previous guest had not checked out and her luggage was still in the room. We were annoyed and unhappy, as this delay should not happen, especially when guests arrive well after the standard check-in time. We only managed to get into the room at 5:00 PM, after the hotel resolved the issue.
That said, aside from this early hiccup, the hotel itself is excellent. The location is extremely convenient, with easy access to everything around. The room was very clean, and the smart toilet was a nice and modern touch. Once we were settled in, our stay was comfortable and enjoyable.
Overall, Tian Hua Hotel is an awesome place to stay, and we genuinely enjoyed it. However, the check-in delay should not happen again, as it left a poor first impression.

2nd time stay at this hotel and as always, it has clean & spacious room, just in the middle of Nanjing Lu Pedestrian Street so many shops, eatery & malls just outside the hotel. It has free washing machine & dryer to use. Easy to find many kinds of food around the hotel, mini supermarket just beside the hotel, friendly staffs and comfortable beds. Need to note that this hotel might has some few stairs to reach some rooms, so for elderly, make sure to inform them and request rooms to reach without stairs. Overall, a good and recommended hotel to stay in Shanghai.

The Wi-Fi was incredibly slow!
**Location:** Just a few minutes' walk from Shanghai Railway Station and the subway, not far from the main road. There's a FamilyMart and some restaurants downstairs.
**Facilities:** A proper hotel with an elevator, air conditioning, and self-service laundry. The shower had good hot water. The wooden furniture looked a bit dated but seemed durable and of good quality. It appears to have been renovated, and the renovation quality is decent. However, I have to complain about the Wi-Fi speed – it was excruciatingly slow!
**Soundproofing:** Average; I could hear conversations from the next room.
**Cleanliness:** Relatively clean.
**Environment:** Both inside and out, it was neat and orderly.
**Service:** They proactively offered a room upgrade (perhaps due to fewer guests during the off-season) and could store luggage for us.
**Breakfast:** Although breakfast was included, they actually provided a 15 RMB voucher per person to use at a neighboring restaurant. You pay for what you choose, and anything over 15 RMB needs to be paid out of pocket, which felt a bit like a rip-off. However, if you plan carefully, it's manageable. The breakfast quality was relatively average, but it was available from 6:30 AM, which is convenient for early travelers.

The hotel's location is absolutely perfect, right next to Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street and People's Square metro station, making it incredibly convenient for exploring. It's perfectly situated on Huanghe Road Food Street, bustling with local life and culinary delights. Stepping out, you're greeted by a variety of long-standing eateries and popular snack spots, while Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street is just a few minutes' walk away.
The hotel environment is excellent. Having been recently renovated last year, the facilities are brand new, and the rooms are cleaned to a high standard, tidy and virtually odor-free. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and attentive; not only did they check us in swiftly, but they also provided travel guides for the surrounding area. We even received a thoughtful small gift upon checking out. The toiletries in the room were of good quality, with a fresh and pleasant scent, and all amenities were complete. It's worth mentioning that the hotel features a self-service laundry room on the fourth floor and a practical sunroom for drying clothes on the sixth floor, which is very considerate for guests staying for multiple nights.
Using this location as a hub, exploring Shanghai's classic city center attractions couldn't be easier. A walk from the hotel to The Bund to admire the 'Exhibition of World Architecture' and the Lujiazui skyline, to Yu Garden to explore its classical gardens, or to the Shanghai Grand Theatre for a show, all are within a moderate distance, roughly within a three-kilometer radius. If you're interested in history and culture, you can also easily walk to places like the Shanghai Museum, the Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Center, and the Site of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China. Every day after exploring, the most enjoyable part was being able to discover delicious food on Huanghe Road and its vicinity, such as the butterfly pastries from International Hotel, Jia Jia Tang Bao, and Xiao Yang Sheng Jian – each day was filled with anticipation. This stay was absolutely perfect and offered great value for money. I will definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit to Shanghai.

Very good and fast check-in, the staff was extremely friendly (using translator vocal to help communicate for example). The location is excellent, a simple 10 minutes walk to Nanjing Road and not much traffic. Had a little noise in the early morning of the first night, but all good on the second.

When booking a hotel, I always pay close attention to the negative reviews. After a lot of searching, I decided to give this place a try. Even though some of the negative comments seemed quite exaggerated, its excellent location convinced me. And I'm so glad I did! This hotel is nothing like what the bad reviews claimed. Overall, the location, cleanliness, environment, and service were all top-notch. Being in the city center, it's truly a prime spot in Shanghai. During check-in, Oliver at the front desk recommended an upgrade to a deluxe suite, which I happily paid for. The room layout was perfectly to my taste. Oliver's service was also fantastic; he was very considerate and helpful throughout our stay, offering great advice and assistance. Thanks to his recommendation, we even discovered a fantastic hidden gem restaurant, haha! A big thank you to Oliver for his enthusiastic help. I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time!

Had a great stay here and would definitely recommend it. The location is super convenient. It's right next to the metro station and also very close to many major attraction spots, which made getting around so easy.
The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable, so I slept really well throughout the trip. The only small downside is that the soundproofing could be better, but overall it wasn’t too bad and didn’t affect the stay much.
What really stood out was the staff. Everyone was incredibly friendly and helpful, including the housekeeping aunts.
I’ll definitely be back again on my next trip!

The room was surprisingly small. The power outlets were inconveniently placed, especially when using a universal adapter, which made it very awkward. The window could open, but it faced a sealed wall.
Overall, it's a good hotel to stay at, and the pillows are very comfortable.
The hotel's location is super convenient, within walking distance of Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street. The BBQ place downstairs is delicious, and the xiaolongbao next door are also good.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Radisson. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. A big thank you to Jason of the front desk, he assisted us with all our questions and went the extra mile in making our stay a beautiful experience. The location was perfect, near the major attractions in Shanghai, convenient for walking to the Metro or hailing a ride thru Didi. There were lots of food options near the hotel and the area was safe for tourists. Will definitely recommend staying here.

__WeChat244264****The room is relatively new and very clean, with modern facilities. The service is excellent; they offer coffee, tea, and toast in the lobby every morning. It's only a five-minute walk from the metro station. However, both rooms in the two-bedroom suite face northwest, looking out onto old residential buildings that are very close by. There's no view to speak of, and the rooms are dark with no sunlight.

Very convenient for getting around, close to the subway station. The Sichuan restaurant next door has really delicious food. The hotel breakfast is also tasty and quite plentiful. The twin beds are also wide, 1.5 meters each.

GGuest UserLocation of the hotel is good. Surrounding the area there are varieties of local food to choose from. It’s within walking distance to The Bund. On the other side of the hotel, there’s a river bank walk with beautiful night scene. Walk along the river bank, the Pearl Tower can be seen clearly without the hustle of other tourists/locals.

GGuest UserBeing located close to Nanjing East Road, it's incredibly convenient to get anywhere. Given its prime location, we didn't expect a huge room, but it was spotlessly clean and very comfortable – you could tell the cleaning was done with great care. The lady at the front desk was exceptionally friendly and helpful, patiently answering all our questions. Accommodation is such a vital part of any trip, and this charming little place truly made our stay even more delightful.

AAnxiangyingxiu_LeeThe location of the hotel is easy to find, there are many hotels nearby, it is convenient to eat, and the bathroom has plenty of hot water. The advantages are all there. Other shortcomings such as sound insulation, facilities, and washing supplies can be forgiven because of the price.
