The Candeo Hotel Osaka Namba is located very near the shopping and food paradise, Dotonbori! The English speaking Hotel's staff were all very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean. The best attraction of the Hotel was the in-house Onsen which allow us to relax in, after a long day shopping! We will strongly recommend our friends to stay in this hotel if they visit Osaka!

Carpark closed after 11pm, you will need to park nearby with very high charges. Better to take note the carpark timing, some area will require you to move your car at 2am/7am or they will count by every 30mins/60mins. Carpark charges: 2,500yen per day for hotel guest. 
If you drive, traffic is bad at evening, right in front hotel. 
Front desk service: Not good. Staff being not so polite after 11pm, like there is curfew for my late check in. Probably the staff also rushing to change shift. 
Lobby at 17th floor, not my choice if talk about convenient but is clean and comfort. 
Room: Very clean and neat, spacious. Booked for Run of House, they combined two twin beds and is comfortable. I love how they have a partition sliding door between bedroom and washroom, you can have a good night sleep at night. 
Room Service: Simple & Clean for daily cleanup. Quick and responsive for additional replenish request. 
Japanese style Onsen: Indoor & Outdoor, small area but great if less crowd. Sauna available inside too. Given female spa access card upon check in for onsen access. 
Food: Walking distance with many nice foods and restaurants, even clubs but is all well managed.

We stayed at The Singulari Hotel & Skyspa at Universal Studios Japan during our 4th trip to Japan and our first traveling with our auADHD toddler. This was our second hotel in Osaka, and we arrived by taxi directly from our previous hotel. Taxi tip: make sure you show the taxi driver the hotel name and address in Japanese. Our driver initially dropped us at Universal Studios Japan instead of the hotel entrance and that cost us when it showed him the Google maps address.

The hotel staff themselves were excellent. They deal with international guest on the daily and some speak English. Our forwarded luggage was received without issue and delivered directly to our room, which made arrival seamless. They have forms for luggage transport themselves that I used for our KIX airport hotel. Service throughout our stay was efficient and professional, and the staff clearly explained all hotel procedures.

The biggest advantage of this property is its location. It is about a 10-minute walk to the entrance of Universal Studios Japan, which gives you a real edge if you plan to rope drop. The subway station is directly outside the hotel entrance, making transportation extremely convenient. Universal Citywalk is steps away, with Starbucks, Lawson, Bikkuri Donki (Great for familes by the way), shopping, and countless restaurants all within immediate reach.

If you’re visiting USJ, I strongly recommend arriving at the park entrance by 7:30 a.m. We arrived around 8:30 a.m., and it made the first ride strategy noticeably more challenging. Luckily disability service helped a little as it was similar to Disney when you have to go to the Fast Pass staff to get a return time but USJ uses pen and paper. The earlier you position yourself for rope drop, the smoother your morning will be. Lines were extremely long and we were only able to see half the park. Unless you have 2 days at USJ, I recommend buying the Express pass packages as early as possible as they were all sold out the day of. Definitely a big regret as we only had 1 day there.

The onsen sauna was of an average size. After long park days, it was incredibly relaxing. The baths are separated by gender, and there are no private rentable family spaces, so that’s something to keep in mind if traveling to onsen if you are not comfortable going commando with others.

Our room was spacious and comfortable. The bathroom felt slightly dated but it was clean and fully functional. One thing I missed was having a small kitchenette and in-room washer/dryer. Laundry is available on the spa floor via coin machines, but in-room units would have been more better.

On our second day, we made a day trip to Ghibli Park in Aichi, which took about 2.5 hours each way via Shinkansen and local transit. It’s doable but long. If your primary focus is Universal Studios Japan, this hotel is an excellent strategic base. If you plan multiple long day trips outside Osaka, you may want something more centrally located. I should have planned a day to stay at Nagoya for my Ghibli Park day.

Overall, The Singulari is ideal for travelers prioritizing proximity to Universal Studios Japan, easy transit access (but not centrally located), and post-park relaxation in a quality onsen setting.

That was my second stay at the Candeo chain but this one I loved more for location and better reception guys and girls who make you feel a special guest or even a friend, not just doing their job. I really appreciate that. 
Wanna say huge thanks to everyone who work there, I cannot skip to mention an English speaking guy (I don’t wanna post his name for his privacy), his friendliness, kindness and sense of humor made me smile every time. 
And for sure I’m gonna back to this hotel only, don’t even wanna look for another one for my next trip to Osaka.

P.S. The hotel located literally in the middle of everything you need. Don’t even think, just book it and you’ll be satisfied at maximum, I swear.

The location is convenient, and the cleanliness is acceptable, though the room was a bit small and felt a little stuffy. However, the location is indeed very convenient, being very close to Uguisudani Station on the Yamanote Line, just a seven or eight-minute walk away. You do pass by some, let's say, 'interesting' hotels on the way. The hotel breakfast was a pleasant surprise, a mix of Japanese and Western styles, and the taste was quite good. Despite being close to the subway station, the soundproofing was decent, and there wasn't much noise at night. Getting to Narita Airport from the hotel was also quite easy.

This hotel was in a great location - very close to the Roppongi station exit 3 and also close to the Roppongi Don Quijote store. I could see the top of Tokyo Tower from the 7th floor too. Comfortable bed and lounge area in my room and good bathroom. The ventilator is running throughout the day, so it can lessen the ”damp smell” that hit me when I first went into the room. TV cna also show the times and business of their spa and laundry room, so that's really convenient.

The hotel's location is impeccable, just a few minutes' walk from Shimbashi Station (both subway and JR lines). There are plenty of dining options nearby, from casual meals to yakiniku and izakayas. The hotel facilities are relatively complete; everything you'd expect is there, except for a safe. The front desk is on the 11th floor, but the elevator display isn't very clear – the button just says 'Front' instead of 'Desk,' which is a bit confusing, and there's no signage at the elevator entrance. The room size is small, but the layout is quite reasonable. However, the air in the room wasn't very fresh; there was a persistent musty smell. Breakfast met basic needs, with both Japanese and Western options available, though seating was limited, so you might have to wait. Overall, the value for money is decent. The location is definitely the biggest selling point; everything else is pretty much on par with a 3-to-4-star hotel.

The hotel is conveniently located near the city center, with shopping right downstairs. The triple room we stayed in was a decent size, but the bathroom drain had a really unpleasant, garlicky smell that I absolutely disliked. The public bath was a bit chaotic and not a hot spring; it had a strong bleach odor. You get what you pay for, I guess. The hotel's partner parking next door had a height limit, and the other partner lots were too far and not much cheaper. The next day, I just parked in the non-partner lot across the street, which was only about 200 yen more for the night.
