I recently spent several nights at the Furama Silom Hotel in Bangkok, and if you are looking for a blend of convenience, space, and local flavor, this property is a solid contender. Located on the bustling Silom Road, the hotel stands as a prominent choice for both leisure travelers and business professionals who want to be in the thick of Bangkok’s financial and nightlife district.
Spacious Living in a Prime Location
The first thing that struck me about Furama Silom is the sheer size of the rooms. In a city where many modern hotels are trending toward compact ”minimalist” spaces, Furama offers an expansive environment. My room was bright, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows that provided a fantastic view of the city skyline. The inclusion of a kitchenette was a thoughtful touch, making it feel more like an apartment than a standard hotel room.
The location is undoubtedly the hotel's strongest selling point. It is roughly a 10-minute walk to both the Saint Louis and Chong Nonsi BTS stations, making the rest of the city easily accessible. For those who enjoy exploring on foot, the famous Patpong Night Market, the historic Sri Maha Mariamman Temple, and a plethora of local street food stalls and 7-Eleven stores are just a short stroll away.
Rooftop Relaxation and Dining
The highlight of the stay was the rooftop swimming pool on the 20th floor. It offers a stunning 360-degree panoramic view of Bangkok, which is particularly breathtaking at sunset. There is also a poolside bar where you can unwind with a cocktail after a long day of sightseeing.
Regarding the breakfast buffet, it served a decent variety of Western and Asian dishes. While the menu stayed relatively consistent each day, the quality was good, and the dining area provided a welcoming atmosphere to start the morning.
Service and Hospitality
The staff at Furama Silom deserve a special mention. From the concierge to the housekeeping team, the service was warm and professional. Check-in was efficient, and they were always ready to assist with taxi bookings or local recommendations. Their hospitality truly embodies the ”Land of Smiles.”
Points for Consideration
While my stay was overall very positive, it is worth noting that the hotel has a bit of a ”vintage” feel. Some parts of the interior show their age, with slightly dated carpets and furniture. However, the hotel is clearly undergoing maintenance and renovations to address this, and given the competitive pricing, the value for money remains exceptionally high.
Verdict
I would recommend Furama Silom Hotel to travelers who prioritize location and space over ultra-modern luxury. It is a practical, comfortable, and friendly base for exploring everything Bangkok has to offer. Whether you are here for a short business trip or a week-long vacation, it provides a reliable and pleasant experience.

Our stay at this hotel was really nice. Getting here is convenient since it’s connected to the airport rail and metro. The staff and service were great. The room was clean overall and had all the amenities you need, although the shower area could use more thorough cleaning as mold may build up over time. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for travelers.

I had a great stay at FuramaXclusive Sathorn. The hotel is in a very convenient location, close to BTS Chong Nonsi, making it easy to travel around Bangkok. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. The staff were friendly, professional, and always willing to help. The overall atmosphere was quiet and comfortable, suitable for both leisure and business trips. The hotel also offers good facilities, including a swimming pool and fitness center. Overall, it was a pleasant and worthwhile stay, and I would definitely come back again.

The hotel is located diagonally opposite the Hilton. The entrance isn't very grand, but the navigation was accurate. There's a small parking lot, though road construction outside made it a bit difficult to get in and out. It's about a five-minute walk to the mall at Terminal 21, as you have to go around. The hotel rooms and bathrooms are quite spacious. It cost a bit over 500 per night including breakfast, which was decent. I was placed on the 11th floor, which I believe is the top floor. They probably thought it would be quieter, as cars pass by on the road all night, and lower floors might be noisy.

But then something weird happened. It sounded like construction noise or a large machine on the roof, a constant, loud hum. I didn't notice it during the day, but once it was quiet at night, it went on all night long. Anyone with normal sleep might struggle to fall asleep without earplugs, so light sleepers should be cautious. Honestly, I think the hotel's location and room size are quite good. I'm not sure where that noise was coming from. Guests also get discounts on dining. While the hotel facilities aren't brand new, the bed was quite comfortable.

The hotel room is spacious, clean , there are microwaves,safe and iron , bowls ,plates in the room .  A small swimming pools at the ground floor . For cleaning room we asked the staff to change the bedsheets,but they didn’t changed and just made the bed as if they changed already. This is the reason I gave 4 stars only , the service I gave 5 stars even though the reception girls aren’t patient, but the night shift man service quite good . During the stay my nephew lost his blanket which has sentimental value for him , he cried the whole night and next day we go to reception to help looking for that because after cleaning and changed the bedsheets , we couldn’t the small blanket at night . At first the reception said the cleaning staff didn’t see it , we were very sure and asked them to ask if it’s with the bedsheets at the laundry. Luckily they found it for us , the reception man took the responsibilities ,that’s why I gave 5 stars for service.

Family came do the medical checked up , the location is just beside the  bumrungrad hospital . The room is very small and there is a door in the room which is locked and can get through to another room . But you can save a lot of time going to hospital rather than get stuck in the traffic . Except that  the hotel provides breakfast, when you woke up the breakfast already hanging on your door handle . Everyday not the same menu , I preferred the omelette and bread one , I enjoyed my stay by the way .

The room was a bit small and the soundproofing wasn't great. The swimming pool was nice, and there are facilities for kids on the first floor. There's a 7-Eleven right next to the hotel, and the nearest Sheng Siong supermarket is a 10-minute walk away. Havelock MRT station is also just a 6-minute walk. Overall, it's pretty good.

Although the hotel building looks old from the outside, the interior has been newly renovated. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. It's incredibly convenient that the hotel has a direct skybridge connecting to the mall, MRT station, and hawker center across the street. The only issue was that the front desk staff couldn't speak Chinese, which is fine, but their English wasn't good either. I had trouble getting directions to the skybridge; they couldn't explain it clearly.

We had a wonderful stay at FuramaXclusive Ocean Beach Seminyak. The spacious room and stunning ocean views made it incredibly relaxing, and the prompt service really stood out. Everything was kept clean and fresh each day, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We will definitely return!

Loved the interior of the room, very Balinese style room with a bath tub, the room size is good and very affordable.. hotel location other wise is really out of no where, not close to any restaurants or convenient store. Luckily we can order grab.. but still not much activity available in the hotel except for massage and spa, pool bar is not open, no one actually goes to the pool. It's near to nature so quite a bit of insects.. Staff and friendly and helpful.. There is only 1 restaurant and price wise is not cheap and food is not nice as well.. we were given bread and butter before our meal but even our butter is tasteless,unsalted.. the curry is very watery.. I guess after trying so many nice food around Asia, our taste buds can be quite picky so for the price paid, the food does not satisfy our desire for good food.
