Such polite staff and very helpful always smiling.  Rooms are perfectly adequate and sizeable.  The amenities are terrific with a fun and large pool area which is clean and gets lots of sun year round

A Cozy Getaway with a Few Quirks

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Block C in a wonderful location near the beach. My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our time there, as the bedroom was spacious and beautifully designed. However, there were a few quirks that left us slightly puzzled.

Locating the signage for the establishment proved to be a small challenge, but it added a sense of adventure to our experience.

Unfortunately, the air conditioning in our room left something to be desired. It struggled to keep the temperature comfortably cool, and we often found ourselves feeling a bit hot. It would be great if this aspect could be improved to ensure a more comfortable stay.

Nevertheless, spending evenings on the balcony was a delightfully cozy and relaxed experience. The ambiance was inviting and lent itself to unwinding after a day of exploration. The surrounding garden and environment added to the overall charm, and we truly appreciated the pleasant surroundings.

I highly recommend visiting this place for a minimum stay of 2 to 3 days. Anything less would make the trip feel rushed, as there is so much to explore and enjoy. Despite the minor quirks, our overall experience was enjoyable and memorable. I'm grateful for the opportunity to have stayed here and would gladly return for another visit.

One issue that needs addressing: sun bed reservations. There’s a sign stating guests can’t reserve sun beds, but it wasn’t enforced at all. We regularly saw beds left “reserved” for hours while no one was using them, which made it frustrating for other guests trying to find a spot by the pool.

The main restaurant was decent but light on options for children who don’t eat large portions. A simple plain cheese and tomato pizza (no herbs or garlic) would go a long way for fussy younger eaters.

The nightly entertainment could use some work — it felt slow-paced and wasn’t very engaging.

Finally, a special thank you to Carlos on reception — he went above and beyond helping me sort out an issue with my laptop during the stay. That kind of service really stood out.

The balcony can see a beautiful beach, not many tourists in the off-season. The rooms are slightly older and overall a good holiday choice.

Very nice good located hotel at front of the beach ,enjoyed the Sunrise and sunset, very nice helpful staff. Will for sure visit the place again.

Very good location, needs a little refresh but very good you can eat and use partner hotels

The experience has had some positive aspects, I must point out that the hotel is generally too old and needs urgent renovation.

Negative points:
The furniture is very old, which gives you a look of negligence.
The beds and couchs are uncomfortable and old, which makes it difficult to rest.
The TV is too small and is not in line with the current expectations.
The bathroom towels are very small and feel wearing, being tight at the touch, which is uncomfortable.
The air conditioning produces a lot of noise, which makes it uncomfortable to sleep.
The apartment tends to accumulate heat, as air conditioning cannot be left on fire without the keys, which causes you to make a lot of heat when you come back at night.
The glass ceramics is very small, limiting the possibility of cooking comfortable.
The coffee shop is old and doesn't work properly, which was disappointing.

Positive points:
The hotel is located in a good location, which makes it easy to access different points of interest.
The swimming pool is quiet and offers a good space to relax.
The hotel also has a private parking, which is a great benefit.

In short, although Muthu Balaia Sol has certain advantages, its ancientity and the state of the facilities significantly affect the overall experience. I hope the hotel will consider making improvements so that future guests can enjoy a more comfortable and pleasant stay.

Despite the room having being recently renovated, in places it was to a very low standard. 

Shower fittings were dangerously loose, the bar that held the glass partition in place was totally detached. 

Questionable stains on the rug. 

No hairdryer. 

Double wasn’t a double, it was two singles pushed together and the ridge along the mattress was so pronounced and raised that you couldn’t actually sleek in the centre of the bed. May as well have saved money and just got a single. 

Outside of hotel very shabby looking.

Stairwells and corridors very very tired carpets.

Nice hotel friendly staff. Not a suitable menu for gluten free traveller so had to go elsewhere where for food. Curtains wouldn't close or open

All the front desk personnel are the best asset this hotel has. The place could do with an update of their appliances and furniture in their rooms. Soft furnishings are ok. The cleanliness could be a bit better. They lent me slippers so I could use the steam room and it was a great addition to my stay. Overall I give the place a 3/5.

Beautiful old hotel right in the middle of the sea front. Theatre and fantastic restaurants one way and seaside entertainment the other. Good size room, nice bathroom. Only one problem the temperature outside was 28 degrees and the room had no air con, it was stated in the email so l took an electric fan with me. Lovely , helpful staff. Very enjoyable experience .
