The hotel's location is excellent; you can see it right from the subway exit. It's quite close to Nanjing East Road, North Bund, and The Bund. There are also plenty of great restaurants nearby, and you can easily walk to MixC World and Xinghui Center. From the hotel window, you can even see the 'Three-piece Suit' (Lujiazui skyline) without leaving your room, which is a fantastic view.

The only downside is that one evening I was lying down and noticed dust on the ceiling. Please clean it. Otherwise, it would have been a perfect stay.

This is an old-school five-star hotel with a lot of history. I remember as a child it was where foreign dignitaries stayed, and now I've finally experienced it myself. It's amazing how much better life has gotten; things that seemed out of reach when I was little are now possible, and that makes me very happy. The service was impeccable, professional and attentive. The hotel has been newly renovated, and all the facilities are complete and in great working order. The bedding was soft and comfortable, guaranteeing a wonderful night's sleep ❤️. The Western and Chinese breakfast options were also quite rich and varied.

The room was great, well-equipped with good facilities. Being on a high floor, the view was fantastic. Parking was convenient, and there's a Hema supermarket right downstairs. Check-in was smooth too. The only minor issue was the night shift front desk staff, who seemed a bit impatient, but everything else was fine.

5 Stars – A Perfect Day Off at Golden Tulip Qingdao

After feeling completely drained from work, I decided to treat myself to a relaxing day off at the Golden Tulip Hotel in Qingdao—and it was the best decision I could’ve made. From the moment I walked in, everything felt top notch. The ambiance was calming, the staff were welcoming, and the room was spotless and comfortable.

The highlight of my stay was definitely the buffet breakfast. It had such a great variety—fresh, delicious, and beautifully presented. I took my time, enjoyed every bite, and felt like I was finally recharging.

It was exactly the escape I needed. Golden Tulip delivered a flawless experience, and I’ll absolutely be back the next time I need a break. Highly recommended!

Facilities: This stay was in a family suite, which is really great for those traveling with elderly parents and children. The two bedrooms are arranged on either side of the entrance, with the main bathroom and shower room in the middle. Each room has its own door, offering excellent privacy. Plus, the smaller room even has its own toilet, which is a really thoughtful touch – the designer put a lot of effort into this! The only minor drawback is that the smaller room doesn't have a window, but it does have an air conditioning vent, so it's not a major issue.

Cleanliness: The hotel is relatively new and very clean.

Environment: It's super convenient, just a 300-meter walk from two large night markets. It's a bit further from Shiqiaozi Morning Market, but a taxi ride is only 10 RMB, which is acceptable.

Service: Since I only stayed one night, I didn't experience much in terms of service, but the front desk staff were very polite and accommodating.

One slightly odd thing was the underground parking garage. The entrance was quite narrow, and both the entry and exit were at the same spot, yet there was an unnecessary separate door frame. Novice drivers, especially those with SUVs, should be careful.

Overall, I'm quite satisfied and would choose to stay here again next time.
