A fresh and charming hostel, mostly frequented by young foreigners. The small rooms only have a bed and a bathroom, but the green view outside the window is very soothing. Outside the shared bathrooms, there's complimentary milk and popsicles. In the afternoon, the library offers a variety of snacks and drinks. The guests are all quiet and well-mannered; everyone sits by the window, enjoying drinks, relaxing, and using the internet without disturbing each other. It's truly great value for money and very 'introvert-friendly'.

The hotel is nestled halfway up the mountain, built right by the lake, and just a 10-minute walk from the famous 'torii gate' (bird arch). I highly recommend visiting the torii gate in the early morning; you'll avoid crowds and can enjoy the serene lake and mountain views.

The hotel's courtyard is excellent and meticulously maintained. Although it's not spring, so I couldn't see the colorful azaleas, strolling through it was still peaceful and relaxing. It made me appreciate the baron's exquisite taste!

I highly recommend the hotel's French restaurant! It's said to have been Michelin-rated. The domestic beef steak was perfectly tender, and the catch-of-the-day fish dish was also delicious!

The Western-style breakfast is generous and filling. If you go to the restaurant early, you can even sit outdoors and enjoy the stunning lake and mountain scenery – absolutely fantastic!

The most pleasant surprise was the hotel's luggage delivery service. If you drop off your bags at the front desk before 10 AM, you can pick them up on the same day at Hakone-Yumoto Station. This freedom from carrying luggage made exploring Hakone clockwise an amazing experience!

This time I came to Tokyo mainly to see the cherry blossoms, and I also went to Hakone to soak in the hot springs. I saw good reviews of this hot spring hotel on the Internet, so I tried it myself. You can make an appointment for a private bath through email, and the reservation for pick-up service is also responded quickly. The staff service is very friendly. As for the hot spring, there is a private bath in the room, which is very suitable for people who want privacy. The food quality is good. Overall, it is a high-quality hot spring hotel.

This hotel is conveniently located very close to Gotemba Premium Outlets, making it ideal for guests arriving in the afternoon and leaving the next day, as you can drop off your luggage and shop light. Some rooms and the lobby offer a direct view of Mount Fuji, which is spectacular on a clear day. There are five hot spring baths, which is quite a lot, and kids really enjoy them. The less-than-ideal part is the 10 AM check-out, while the earliest bus from Gotemba to Tokyo Station isn't until 3 PM. If you've already finished shopping the day before, those five hours the next morning can be a bit hard to pass.

I thought it was a business hotel, so it was a beautiful room except for it.
The restaurant was also a buffet, but there was a healthy menu, and children (3rd grade) could eat it. It would have been better if white rice was delicious rice.
