Small but perfectly formed, the lobby provides a comprehensive range of toiletries, including makeup remover, facial cleanser, and bath salts. The room was clean and tidy, and I have to praise the hairdryer – it was excellent! Downstairs, just a 100-meter walk away, there's a Wendy's, which is a great late-night snack option; the fries get a thumbs up! (Avoid the izakaya on the street level below the hotel, though – the salmon was black, the squid was smelly, and the only thing edible on the whole table we ordered was the Coke 😅)

We stayed at Hotel Resol Ikebukuro from April 23–27 and had a generally pleasant experience. The overall service was great—staff were polite, helpful, and efficient throughout our stay.

The location was decent, though not right in the heart of the action. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the nearest train station and a bit of a walk to the center of Ikebukuro, which might feel slightly inconvenient if you’re carrying heavy bags or planning frequent trips.

The room was quite small, which is fairly typical in Tokyo, but it’s worth noting that it couldn’t comfortably fit two large suitcases when fully opened. On the positive side, the room was very clean and well-maintained. We also appreciated the wide selection of toiletries provided, which was a nice touch and added to the overall comfort of the stay.

Overall, a solid choice if you value cleanliness, good service, and thoughtful amenities, as long as you’re okay with compact room space and a short walk to main transport and shopping areas.

I absolutely loved this hostel and highly recommend it! It's very quiet, and even with 12 beds in one room, everyone was considerate, so I slept really well. The blackout curtains were great, letting me sleep in naturally. The washroom area was also very clean. The price is incredibly affordable, making it perfect for solo travelers. I stayed for two nights and truly enjoyed it here. There's free coffee and a lounge on the second floor. You can see the Skytree from a short walk down the street, and it's only about a 10-minute walk to Senso-ji Temple. Right across the road, there's a Uniqlo, MUJI, and a drugstore, making shopping super convenient. I'm not sponsored, just genuinely recommending this place!

Perfect!!! It's very quiet and incredibly clean. The room's bedding is comfortable, the air conditioning, lights, and other facilities, as well as the bathroom shower, desk, and sofa, are all excellent, with a super convenient and well-thought-out layout. The toiletries provided are comprehensive and high-quality, and there's a 24-hour bar with drinks and hot water. In short, everything exceeded expectations.

I booked a single room with a 1.2m bed. The hotel states it can accommodate two people, but I honestly think it's only suitable for one; two people would definitely be too cramped. There's a small tax fee upon check-in. You can just about open a 20-inch suitcase on the floor, which is enough to get by.

💣 Also, Google Maps and Trip.com addresses are completely unreliable. On my first day in Japan, it navigated me to a parking garage!!! 😅🤯 I then asked an employee who was taking out the trash nearby, and they led me into the hotel that was supposedly navigated. But the hotel next to the garage was another hotel B of the same name under the same group!! I had to search again. ⭐⭐Pro tip⚠️ If you're staying at this hotel and can't find it, you can [navigate to ▷ Yanagimori Shrine], [stand across the street facing Yanagimori Shrine ▷ and walk to your right], and that's where the hotel is.⭐⭐

The little robot is absolutely adorable, its eyes and movements are unbelievably cute. I was completely smitten! 🥹😭😭😭

The Korakuen Hotel has a long history and is conveniently located next to the Japan-China Friendship Hall, the Chinese-style Koishikawa Korakuen Garden, and Tokyo Dome. Tokyo Dome City offers many amusement facilities with great value for money, and a wide variety of dining options, making it a highly enjoyable destination.

The hotel's front desk staff are incredibly patient and can assist guests in Chinese. They also offer luggage storage and help with weighing luggage. Next to the front desk, there are complimentary dining coupons available, as well as some high-quality shampoo samples for guests to try.

I booked a single room, which, while not large, was exceptionally clean and fully equipped with amenities, including a bathtub, hairdryer, full-length mirror, a fixed vanity mirror, and a portable vanity mirror. The window was a bit small, but it offered a view of Tokyo Dome, and I could even spot the tip of the Tokyo Skytree in the distance. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and the price was reasonable and acceptable.

Location was great for me personally, as it was close to my office in Tokyo, but it's a bit of a walk away from the Akihabara station in a very quiet area, so some people might like it and others won't.
Room itself was a bit on the smaller side, but was good for it's worth.
The staff was nice, and there was a cute robot that was staring at me in Reception, which definitely makes for a memorable experience!

The staff were friendly and the place was clean.

I used trash and towels, put them in bags, and left them at the door the next day. They cleaned them up and brought new ones, which was incredibly convenient.

Very very dark in room. No view from window. No light coming in as opposite window is another building. Felt like a backpackers hostel, which I didn’t like. Can’t fault the cleanliness, however things are old. In saying that, we did not use the towels due to a bad damp smell -so I guess that’s a fault! Bed not the most comfortable, pillows very hard. One made of straw? Didn’t sleep very well. Lots of noise from street, loud music playing at 5am. Laundry room useful, but very dirty. Seems a place for 20-somethings backpacking on a budget. Another thing is they don’t clean the rooms, I didn’t really understand their policy on this, but they just refused to clean. I asked if they can change the rubbish bin and they just said to leave it outside. So things like teacups will be uncleaned/unchanged for days. I was told you can request to have the room cleaned but as I said, they refused. They do give you clean towels and comp water daily in a tote bag which is left outside the room. One member of staff was very nice, I told her about the room cleaning and she apologised. Staff very friendly and polite. Location is right in main shopping area on a main road.

The environment is really nice and quiet, I love the atmosphere. There were performances but I didn't get a chance to see them. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Kyoto! Looking forward to my next visit (the lighting is a bit dim though).

A truly comfortable stay. The hotel boasts a fantastic design aesthetic, from the lobby to the rooms, seamlessly blending Japanese aesthetics with modern design. The in-room lighting is superb, and both the bed and sofa were incredibly comfortable. The space is generous enough for two people, so it never felt cramped. The location is superb; it's in a quiet area, yet just a short walk to bustling areas. Convenience stores and restaurants are abundant nearby. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and provided impeccable service. Outstanding value for money.

I have a reaaly good time at this hotel.. i came to sappiro for calebrate my aniversary.. the staff prepare some thing very sweet.. thank u l. the room and bed are more than enough  for 3 person.  I booked twin room. The location amazing... near everywhere.. very clean. Everyday they give us new towel. New PJ, and water. The onsen amazing. The staff also very nice. The most amazing iss. There is a BUS STOP DIRECT FROM THE AIRPORT!!! WAWW... No dragging luggage drama in  the snow...  😍😍😍. Thank you Resol Trinity... i will stay here again for sure if i come to sapporo next time...

The location is good, very close to the subway station, so you can easily take the subway to the city center. It's also right next to Central Park. However, parking is a bit of a hassle as there are very few spots. We had to park across the street, and it cost 1200 JPY for 12 hours, which added up to 4800 JPY in total. That felt a bit expensive! The hotel itself is pretty standard, nothing spectacular. There was a big sign in Chinese reminding guests to put used dishes in the recycling area.
