A village that cannot be missed on Shangri-La Xiaohuan. Before, because of that church, you could stay for one night. Now you can stay for one night in Songzan. The small and beautiful winery hotel is equipped with a first-line river view. It is really freehand. The Songzan series has always been doing quite well. The Chinese-style one-day Western-style arrangement is really novel enough, the staff is also quite Nice, quite a hand for children

A truly perfect and enjoyable trip! Thank you to the Songtsam Meili Hotel butlers for their attentive service, care, and attention. The hotel's location is also superb, offering stunning views of the sunrise and sunset over the thirteen peaks of Meili Snow Mountain from the room. The rooftop observation deck is a thoughtful touch, providing convenient phone holders for guests. Thank you! Wishing Songtsam Hotel booming business and abundant wealth!

It was my first time staying at Songtsam. Benzilan is the smallest one. It is in a small village and has its own characteristics. The decoration is of good quality. The room is comfortable and clean, which is in line with the low-key luxury positioning of Songtsam. The barbecue dinner is 350 per person. The ingredients are good and all are fresh local specialties. The portion size and dishes are arranged reasonably. The breakfast is very ordinary, and there is no decent coffee.
In general, the experience is good but the price-performance ratio is average, especially in winter when there is no scenery. The nearby LUXE Benzilan is only half the price. If you really want to experience the Songtsam culture, you might as well spend the remaining money here to live in a more distinctive location.

In the morning, our butler, Renqing Daji, who has spent eight years studying in India, took us on an in-depth tour of Songzanlin Monastery. He explained everything through his own insights – the principles of hearing, contemplation, and cultivation; body, speech, and mind; the Six Paths of Reincarnation; thinking of others before yourself; cultivating humanity; and how awakening can come in times of despair. He also shared the origin of Shangri-La, whose ******* name means 'Sun and Moon in the Heart,' and how this area is the core of the Three Parallel Rivers (Jinsha, Nujiang, and Lancang Rivers). In the early morning, outside the monastery, we could see elderly ******* men and women from the village doing their circumambulations. In the evening, uncles and aunties from the nearby Xiaojiezi Village performed their traditional dances. From afar, on the hotel hillside, we could also see the Manjushri Bodhisattva mantra made by the villagers. The hotel museum showcases ******* artifacts and Thangkas from the 15th to 19th centuries.

Suggestion: The collection in the Songtsam Museum within the hotel is excellent; I hope they will add professional guided tours.

On my一路318 self-drive trip, I stayed at all Songtsam's Tibet properties, and the scenery at Basongcuo is indeed stunning. You can see snow-capped mountains from the room, and the hotel's hardware configuration is top-notch within the Linka series. The butler service was also excellent. However, the staff at the scenic area entrance were truly awful. At Nanga Bawa Mountain Retreat and Lhagu, you just need to register to enter the scenic area. But at Basongcuo, even as a guest, you still need a ticket. That's fine, but first, they made us park aside to buy tickets and register. Then, as soon as we finished, a car with local plates immediately blocked the entrance, preventing us from entering. When we tried to communicate and ask what was going on, the security staff actually started yelling at us. For a national five-star scenic area, this is completely unacceptable. I suggest the hotel follow the example of the other two Songtsam properties and incorporate the ticket fee into the room rate for direct entry, to avoid such situations, or have a hotel staff member at the scenic area entrance to welcome and guide guests.
