"I chose Shinjuku Kuyakusho-mae because of its convenient location, but I was disappointed by the cleanliness and maintenance of the capsule. The capsule had visible dust buildup in the gaps and corners, indicating that these areas are not cleaned thoroughly. More concerning, the air vents inside the capsule were dusty and did not appear to be working at all. With little to no airflow, the capsule became stuffy and uncomfortable, especially during the night. For a capsule hotel where guests spend hours in a small enclosed space, proper ventilation and cleanliness are essential. I hope management improves its cleaning standards and ensures that the ventilation system is regularly maintained and functioning properly. The excellent location is overshadowed by these sanitation and maintenance issues."

"My old bones couldn't handle sleeping overnight at the airport, so I decisively booked a capsule hotel at Haneda Terminal 1. After midnight, with no more trains running, I had to take a taxi from T3 to T1, which cost 1900 yen. Although T1 was closed, there's a special doorbell for hotel guests. You can enjoy a 24-hour bath or shower in a private cubicle. The capsule itself was clean, odor-free, and I fell asleep instantly. The next day, I had to rush off again at 6 AM."

"Initially, I was a bit worried due to some negative reviews, but after checking in, I realized my concerns were unnecessary. My experience was excellent, very satisfying, and the place was incredibly clean. I believe anyone staying in a hostel would prioritize hygiene, and this hostel was exceptionally clean. It's cleaned daily. Check-in was self-service; I booked online first, then used the self check-in kiosk at the front desk. I booked an all-female dorm, which was very clean, and the beds were already made up upon arrival 👍. There are also separate washroom facilities, including showers and toilets, each with its own door. Toothpaste, toothbrushes, hair dryers – everything is provided, and they even had feminine hygiene products in the toilet, which was a thoughtful touch. The staff were also very helpful and responsive to all my questions. The location is excellent too, right next to Sensoji Temple Station, just three stops from Tokyo Station. I ended up extending my stay for another night, haha, because I was so pleased! Wishing the owner great success and prosperity in business."

"Overall, I had a good stay at Global Hotel Tokyo because of its excellent location. It's in the heart of Koreatown and within walking distance of restaurants, convenience stores, train stations, and other attractions. However, the capsule/cubicle room can get quite warm. The fan installed inside each cubicle wasn't enough to keep it cool, especially at night. Another downside is that hair dryers cannot be used before 7:00 AM or after 11:00 PM, which may be inconvenient for guests with early flights or late arrivals. If you prioritize location over amenities, this is still a good budget-friendly option."

"I love how accessible this hotel is! I was honestly bracing myself for the fact that, since it’s a capsule hotel, the shower and comfort room might be a little messy or dirty. But I was pleasantly surprised—it was CLEAN! They provide shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, so you don’t have to worry about bringing your own. They also provide sleepwear, which I absolutely loved because it saved me from packing pajamas. You can simply take a shower, put your used sleepwear in the wash bin, and change into the clothes you’ll be wearing for the day. The towels and sleepwear were also changed every day! Another nice touch: they provide a free toothbrush and toothpaste every day. SO NICE! 🥹 The location is also super convenient. The hotel is close to fast-food restaurants, cafés, convenience stores, and even grocery stores. The station is just about a 4-minute walk away. If you’re traveling with two pieces of luggage, you can also take a taxi or Uber to Keisei-Ueno Station and take the Skyliner, which makes getting around with your bags much easier. The staff were friendly and accommodating too. They also have a lounge where you can read, work, or simply hang out. They have drinks available for purchase, and there’s also an option to enjoy them unlimited for two hours. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay. For a capsule hotel, it exceeded my expectations in terms of cleanliness, convenience, and the little details that made the stay comfortable. Definitely one of those places where you get more than you expected! ❤️"

"I was a bit worried because there weren't many reviews, but this place turned out to be absolutely perfect! The capsule itself was super cozy, and the amenities were well-prepared. Shin-Okubo station really feels like a Korean town – everywhere you look, there are Korean restaurants with Hangeul signs, K-pop is playing in the shops, and there are even photo booths integrated into the Japanese streets. It was such a unique sight to see Korea blended into the Japanese landscape. This great location, combined with the fact that the accommodation had just been renovated and was so clean, really made a huge difference to my trip and made it incredibly enjoyable. I'd definitely love to stay here again on my next visit! 😊"

"I was a bit worried since this was my first time staying at a capsule hotel, but I'm not a light sleeper so it was fine. The facilities had everything I needed and the capsule itself was clean. Being close to the station was a big plus."

"This hotel is super convenient with a great location. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and clean. It's a shame that the front desk staff were unfriendly! That's the most annoying part, especially since it was my first stay and I just wanted to ask a simple question. The two Japanese staff members seemed particularly annoyed and impolite. They even took my suitcase without asking me first."

"The place is few minutes away from the station, but the locker area is a bit narrow for all the guests who would come at the same time. Also a bit uncomfortable to pack & unpacked my stuff because of the space. Since my capsule is facing the window, it was so bright in the morning & no privacy (hoping they would put curtains or blinds). The pillow was hard to confortably sleep. But the rest are okay."

"This time, I stayed here for work-related business within the 23 wards of Tokyo. ① Access Perfect. You can arrive directly from Haneda, and it's also a direct trip to Narita, making air travel to Tokyo very convenient. Since it's right next to Shinagawa Station, the Shinkansen is also very accessible. Even when using Tokyo Station, various lines get you there quickly. There's also Shibaura Port nearby, which is convenient for those arriving by boat. ② Price The price is quite reasonable. While it might not satisfy those looking for a luxurious hotel stay, I'd highly recommend it for business travelers or tourists who prioritize sightseeing and just need an affordable place to sleep. ③ Service & Facilities The facilities include multiple showers and toilets. Each guest has their own locker, ensuring the safe storage of valuables. The locker room also has a powder room with large mirrors, which is perfect for quickly getting ready and heading out. There's also a booth-like space, suitable for remote work or some light PC tasks. ④ Environment Since I've only talked about the good points so far, I'll share a minor negative here. As it's a capsule hotel, the design is like a honeycomb with capsules on both sides of a central corridor. Due to people coming and going even late at night or early in the morning, light sleepers might find it hard to get proper rest. (I myself woke up several times during my stay and couldn't sleep soundly.) Aside from point ④, I'd recommend it for a casual trip. If I use it again, I'll be sure to bring earplugs. (I think they were also sold in the vending machine in the locker room.)"
