I've stayed in hostels all over the world, and this one honestly ranks among the top, a real 'white moonlight' experience (meaning it's exceptional and unforgettable). The cafe at the entrance is clean and tidy. In the evenings, travelers gather there to chat and relax, which is wonderfully leisurely. There's also my favorite reading area, perfect for practicing calligraphy, finding peace, or simply reading. It's a quiet space for focused contemplation, also great for introverted friends. The communal kitchen greatly simplifies meal planning for travelers. You can cook your own healthy and affordable food. I often shared meals with other hostel guests, finding new dining companions every night. We'd chat, and every meal was lively and had an amazing atmosphere. Here, you get to experience the most authentic and vibrant slice of life. I've stayed in both the dorms and the tents, and each has its own unique charm. The bunk beds in the dorms are equipped with air conditioning, ensuring a comfortable sleep even in the summer heat. The tents offer a more private space, which is a different kind of experience. "The most comfortable night's sleep I had in Xinjiang! Atour, you are truly worth it! I'd book you even at a premium, and I'll be back! I arrived quite late that evening, and my clothes, which I left in the laundry room, were hung outside my door first thing in the morning. For this service alone, I'd willingly keep staying at your hotel. No need to say more about the bedding; I even use your 'deep sleep' pillows myself! Atour, I genuinely will love you forever – absolutely five stars! Also, the sunset photographed outside the hotel was beautiful. I'll definitely be back next time I visit Xinjiang. Just one suggestion: the back entrance is a bit far; maybe next time you could have a security guard help with luggage?"

"The location is fantastic, right inside Liuxing Street and very close to the entrance accessible by car, so you don't have to worry about dragging your luggage far. The area is lively and vibrant. If you get tired from exploring, you can easily pop back to your room for a rest before heading out again. The service was also exceptional and very welcoming; they even helped with our luggage. My only minor complaint is that the room was a bit small, especially the bathroom."

"The room feels a bit dated, which is understandable given the hotel was built in 2016. The windows were a bit dirty. It's an okay stay for one night. It has a projector, which is nice for streaming content or playing music. The value for money isn't great; you could probably find better options at this price point. The laundry room is in the basement and wasn't very clean. As someone who isn't from mainland China, I was quite surprised to see people washing their shoes in the washing machine 😅. Service was decent though."

"As a long-term guest here, I genuinely feel this is a charming hostel with a lot of character in Yining. The entire courtyard is a renovated old traditional compound, and my absolute favorite part is the outdoor area. Blue steel trellises are covered with grapevines, providing excellent shade even under the strong sun, so you won't feel uncomfortably hot. White drapes are hung everywhere, gently swaying in the breeze, and there are many rustic wooden tables and chairs. When I have some free time, I just sit here, enjoy the breeze, and daydream. Sometimes I chat casually with guests from all over, discussing their travel experiences along the Xinjiang loop. You don't even need to go sightseeing; you can feel the relaxed vibe of Yining right in the courtyard. The main building is a retro-style house with a stone foundation and light-colored exterior walls. There are many large trees in the courtyard, their branches and leaves partially obscuring the house, giving the whole place a very serene feel. The long, blue arched corridor has a wonderful ambiance with layers of drapes hanging down. You can park directly in the courtyard, which is very convenient for those driving. The walls are covered with thick ivy, and the main gate features interesting hand-painted graffiti. It's a great spot for casual photos. The hostel also has a black and white cat that often roams around the courtyard and common areas. Playing with the cat adds a lot of small joys to the otherwise simple travel life. Most of the guests here are backpackers on the Xinjiang loop, volunteers, and young travelers. There's plenty of common space for resting and exchanging travel tips. It's not as neat and refined as a chain hotel; it has the authentic, lived-in feel of an old courtyard. Here, you can truly experience the local atmosphere of Yining. If you enjoy a slow pace, want to meet fellow travelers from different places, and wish to experience a genuine local courtyard atmosphere, this place would be an excellent choice."

"This time I drove Yili to choose the Mercure Yining Jiefang Road! The hotel is located on the main road of Jiefang Road. The traffic to various attractions is very smooth. It has its own free parking lot. There is no pressure for self-driving parking. The front desk staff was particularly attentive. Not only did they check in efficiently and professionally, but they also took the initiative to recommend local specialties and play routes to us, and the details were full. The rooms are clean and bright, the bathroom is separated from wet and dry, the bedding comfort is just right, and the overall stay experience far exceeds expectations. Although it is a new store, there is no sense of clutter at all. The service training of all staff is in place. The price is super high. It is highly recommended to stay with friends who travel to Yining. I will choose here next time I come to Yili."

"Our stay at Yining Yili Hotel was fantastic! The hotel, formerly a Russian consulate, boasts towering ancient trees and a tranquil lake, creating a natural oxygen bar. Strolling along the 1.3 km boardwalk, we even spotted little squirrels, which was incredibly soothing. We booked a multi-room suite in Building 6, which was spacious and comfortable – perfect for a family trip. The biggest surprise was finding a ”Gulandam” ice cream shop right in the courtyard, letting us completely avoid the long queues at Liuxing Street! The staff were warm and friendly, and check-in was very efficient. Breakfast offered not only a Chinese buffet but also Kazakh specialty dishes. The hotel's location is superb, just a 10-minute walk to the Kazanqi Folk Tourism Area, and parking for self-drivers is also very convenient. Highly recommend!"
