"It was a pleasant 3 nights. The reception staffs are friendly and helpful. Breakfast: There wasn’t a lot of variety for hot food at breakfast but it wasn’t too bad Location: it is close to some touristy attractions but if I visit again, I wouldn’t choose this location but again, it wasn’t too bad if it wasn’t so hot because then it would have been very nice walkable to places. There’s a KFC and Costa coffee at the hotel doorstep.. Hotel facilities: The gym was closed and the whole reason I chosen this hotel because they have a gym and the price was reasonable so not being able to use was incredibly disappointing but I was told that usually when it’s open.. it is 24/7 so that’s really good. Amenities: There is no toothbrush or toothpaste so make sure to bring your own or you can buy at reception."

"The room is very clean and surprise gift with food and Mooncakes since it’s mid-Autumn festival the night when we checked in! The breakfast was abundant and included in the room rate. The staff speaks multiple languages. We only stayed one night so had no chance of using the pool but the pool yard looked very nice too! Will definitely stay in this hotel again when we go back to UZ!"

"1. The service was impeccable, absolutely excellent! 👍🏻 2. As a new hotel, it was very clean. The slippers were the same thick, comfortable kind you find in China. 👍🏻 3. Breakfast was also good (of course, you can't compare it to hotels of the same price in China), but for a hotel near a tourist attraction, the service was truly outstanding. 4. The location has some buildings nearby that Chinese visitors would really appreciate, and there are many other similar new hotels in the area."

"This hotel was super convenient, being within walking distance of the City Mall. The staff were fantastic. The AC wasn't working well, so I mentioned it, and someone from maintenance came to fix it within about 10 minutes. There's an ATM that accepts Visa cards for cash advances. However, if you want to exchange dollars for UZS at the ATM, it only takes $100 bills. If you need to exchange other dollar denominations, you can do so at the nearby Hilton hotel. Overall, it's a great hotel with staff who genuinely care and are responsive to guests' needs."

"We stayed for one night due to a connecting flight. Pros: * Convenient location – close to the airport. * Good breakfast. Big thanks to the chefs, kitchen staff, and front desk staff. Cons: * The building isn't old, but the rooms are very worn out and tired. The entire hotel is carpeted – I highly doubt if this carpet is ever cleaned with a carpet cleaner even once a year (it's a terrible dust collector). * All the furniture is scratched and dinged, giving the impression it's from Soviet times. * The beds creak intolerably. On one of the beds, there was a burn mark – someone had lit something right there. * Flooring: Half of the room has old carpeting (it's unclear when it was last changed – and who vacuums or deep cleans it is also unknown), the other half of the room is laminate. * Bathroom: * There's a hole at the entrance to the bathroom, patched with an unidentifiable piece of material (possibly laminate). * The shower tray is in poor condition. Water accumulates on the edge, and everything is always wet. * The shower curtain rod is installed in such a way that the curtain constantly sticks to your body while showering. Moving the rod just 10 cm further so the dirty curtain doesn't touch your body – apparently, some common sense is lacking here… * The sink faucet is wobbly. * The toilet is wobbly. * There's no towel hanger/hook inside the shower area itself – you have to walk wet across the entire bathroom to reach one (there are inexpensive clear hooks available…). * The doors look awful. A huge request to the hotel owner: Please, at least occasionally inspect each room! This is terrible. How can you accommodate people in such rooms for 5000 rubles?"

"Very nice hotel for our last day in Uzbekistan. Good breakfast. Great and very clean pool. We are leaving late in the evening for the airport, so we could wait with check out until 2pm because it is low season, and after checking out we can stay in the pool area until it closes at 9 pm. There are showers etc. by the pool, so we can get ready for flying home. Very friendly staff."

"Checked in at 5 AM, quick and convenient! The room was very clean, and the manager was available at the reception and on WhatsApp. If there was an issue beyond the manager's scope, they would contact the owner, who also helped resolve problems. Breakfast was delicious and varied."

"This is the second time this summer I have stayed at this hotel and everything about it is excellent. From the reception area and the greeting I received to the room, restaurant and many other amenities. The staff around the reception area were always ready to help and very attentive in particular Doniyor who really made me feel that he was genuinely interested in making sure my stay was as pleasant as possible. The room was, just like the last time, spotlessly clean with a very comfortable with an excellent shower. A cheap and efficient laundry service is available. The breakfast buffet was first class with an excellent selection of food. I also ate lunch and dinner in the hotel and the restaurant food was wonderful. I ate all meals at the hotel over my two stays and I highly recommend it. Again the restaurant staff and in particular Elbek were very efficient and food recommendations were spot on. The hotel also offers a very well equipped gym, a sauna, steam room and pool free of charge for guests with a payable spa massage on request. I want to give a special mention to Malika, the young girl who owns small shop in the reception area selling beautiful hand made jewelry, rugs, scarves and other items. Almost everything is hand made and that which is not she clearly points it out. It is all very reasonably priced and I was very happy to buy several items from her.  I had an excellent stay at this hotel and would thoroughly recommend Swissotel Tashkent.  Finally if you are considering using Tashkent only as a stopover I would really recommend at least two nights and one full day as there are plenty of things to do including the metro stations, an outdoor train museum which was excellent, bazaars, a wonderful mosque and go take pictures of the Soviet-built Uzbekistan Hotel built in the Soviet Brutalist style with an Asian influence, absolutely beautiful and very different to the architecture found it Khiva etc. So I would advise, stay in Tashkent either at the start or end of your trip or both as I did and stay at the Swissotel. You will not regret it."
