This time I come to Beihai to play, I don’t want to stay in a hotel every time I travel, so I try to look at homestays, and I saw a lot of them on the Internet. In the end, I chose this one. The location is in the city center, and there are shopping malls such as Ningchun City and RT-Mart nearby. I like it when I enter the door, the floor is very clean, the bedding and the bathroom are very clean and tidy. When communicating with the store, I feel that the store family is very nice and patient, and the feeling of checking in is not bad.

Facilities: The hotel is not particularly new, but the decoration is high-grade and well maintained. The decoration was positioned very high at the time, and basically no problems can be found.
Hygiene: The room is clean, the public area, the garden, and the parking lot are all good.
Environment: The twin room I booked is completely suitable for two adults and two children. The room is arranged on the 26th floor. The view is good. The price did not increase much during the Spring Festival. It is very cost-effective. The plank road is just outside the window. It is very pleasant to walk at night. You can also walk to the old street. There are also dessert shops around. It is also very prosperous. Overall, it is quite good. The hotel has its own garden and beach. Various facilities are also available.

The self-service laundry room is fully equipped with four washing machines and dryers, as well as clothes drying rods and ironing tables. You can lie down on the sofa next to it and read comfortably while waiting
The gym is next to the laundry room. There is a strength area, yoga area, elliptical machine, treadmill, and cycling area. The overall layout is reasonable and there is no odor. I went to the gym while washing clothes. It was very comfortable to run until I sweated

We generally liked this hotel and stayed for 4 nights while in Beihai. The rooms are very spacious with bathtubs and other good amenities. They are also very clean, and the hotel also offers a good breakfast. The only issue was that it's winter and the rooms were cold. They would not heat up no matter what, and I had to use two comforters from two separate beds together to be warm at night. That was the only problem, but otherwise everything was good. The location is also very convenient.

I stayed here when it was newly opened, but I never thought that it would change so much in ten years. Let me start with the good: the hotel is located on Guanling Mountain, the lung of the North Sea, surrounded by green trees, facing the sea in spring, and the environment is excellent. The hotel is a manor-style small building with exquisite and unique structure, spacious rooms, high ceilings, no sense of oppression, and a large balcony outdoors, where it is very pleasant to watch the mountains and the sea and bask in the sun. Disadvantages: The room facilities lack maintenance, the wallpaper is bulging and has black spots, and it feels very shabby. The balcony wooden floor is old and rotten, and has not been updated and maintained in time. The balcony door is also seriously deformed and difficult to close. The building has a closed lobby management, but there is no welcome service and no ventilation. After entering, a moldy smell is pervasive and it is very unpleasant. Five-star location, five-star framework, five-star room rate, but there is no five-star service and five-star quality, which needs to be improved.

Very close to Yintan, more than 2 kilometers from Qiaogang Street and 7 kilometers from the old street. If you want to catch the sea, recommend 66 to catch the beach. You can rent a battery car opposite, which is convenient.
The layout of the hotel is a bit strange, the bathroom is too small, and the wash basin is far away, not used to it

Suitable for families with multiple guests. The rooms and public areas are separated, which is good. You don't have to queue up to wash your hands or go to the toilet. We drove by ourselves, and it's not close to other attractions. There are a lot of traffic lights in the city, and the red lights are very long. It's best to ride an electric bike, but we have children and it's not convenient to ride an electric bike. The underground parking lot is free

RRyan1985I didn’t hate this hotel by any means but there were quite a few things that kept me from loving it. First, before we even get to the hotel we should start with beihai itself. I would say there’s no real reason for anyone to visit this place. There’s some good food for sure but it’s a boring, hot, and generally tourist-packed place. IF you do decide you need to visit beihai for whatever reason though I suppose this hotel is fine but there are some things to be aware of. First is that said tourists will be there. They’re super loud, inconsiderate, gawk at foreigners as if you’re from another planet, and just generally unpleasant (even lounging around and smoking in the non-smoking lobby). Next is the pool- photos make it look gorgeous but it’s very shallow, maybe 3 feet, and the view from the pool is a concrete parking lot (doesn’t show that in any of the photos). So basically not a place most people would hang out or swim. My room also felt dusty/musty. Positives- the staff are extremely friendly and helpful.

GGuest UserGet this hotel!!! We were supposed to stay for a night and then decide what to do - we ended up staying 3 nights and were very sad to leave.
Every so often when you travel your hotel experience significantly improved your holiday - this was one of those cases! First of all the basics, we were looking for a nice family friendly hotel walking distance from the beach - and this certainly fit that category. The rooms are fine, you could see the sea from the windows, comfortable beds, pretty clean, slippers, plenty of towels, wifi everywhere etc. There was also a small playground for small kids and hammocks (picture) etc which was cool, we also saw mahjong tables, but didn't have the time to play.
The hotel is located near a fairly large field, filled with exotic birds, butterflies and crickets etc. There were also geckos everywhere (love them), but we didn't see any inside the room. There were some mosquitos outside on the terrace (don't love them), but the repellent took care of those and we didn't have any in our rooms. Felt like you were near nature, in a good way.
The kids loved to play on the beach, it's great for sand castles (the hotel had buckets and shovels free of charge) and searching for crabs, fish, shells, sea snails etc... The moms loved it too, especially to walk around and explore during low tide. (the hotel also provided equipment to catch crabs and other sea creatures etc if you wanted to - they also had a service to cook them for you) We especially enjoyed playing under a nearby pier during low tide to avoid getting badly sunburned.
The supermarket across the street sell dozens of single malt whiskys and beer from all over the world (they also have ice cream and other stuff) - and the dads recommend the roof terrace for that after the kids are asleep. (picture)
If you know how to ride a scooter/ebike they rent them across the road too, and it's the best way to explore the island. The small roads (almost devoid of cars) were awesome to drive on, just remember to stay safe.
I don't usually care much about breakfast, but the included breakfast was great! (picture) The kitchen staff was also super laid-back about the whole thing - this whole hotel radiated a very laid back tropical island feel that made you forget you were in China.
However the reason I write this review is because of the owner. (last picture) (I'm not sure if he speaks English though, but I'm sure you'll manage) Super chill guy! Immediately after booking he contacted us to arrange the transport from the boat. He helped us buy tickets for the trip back. He was willing to come and pick us up at any time if we got lost on the island. He had great recommendations about basically everything, and whenever we made plans we were sure to ask for his advice. He was basically always reachable over wechat too.
These are just some of the things that he didn't have to provide, but did (or offered): unlimited cold drinking water, ice, proper glasses, a coffee grinder, buckets, shovels, hats, umbrellas, sunscreen, aloe vera plants, flashlights, mosquito repellent etc etc and it feels like we only scratched the surface. It feels like whenever I asked him for something he always had a solution that exceeded my expectations. Great host!
I've traveled to almost 100 countries and while this wasn't the fanciest hotel I've stayed in by any means, this was one of the most memorable hotel experiences I've ever had. If anyone I know plans to visit this island I will for sure recommend this place.

AAnonymous UserWe are traveling as a couple this time, and we specially chose the Shangri-La Hotel, Beihai to stay in a sea view room from September 9th to 13th. The facilities are complete, the sanitary conditions are good, and the environment is very good. Put down your luggage, take a rest, and then walk from east to west on the sea plank road, take a walk to the sea, and feel very happy. The service level of the entire hotel is first-class. Whether it is management personnel or general employees, including doormen, they all greet you with smiles and whisper greetings when they come in and out. We went to the Chinese restaurant and the buffet restaurant for dinner twice, with rich dishes, excellent cooking, and thoughtful service. Especially the buffet breakfast, it is a visual and taste enjoyment. There was a girl with long braids who was very enthusiastic to see us and called us ”grandparents”, which made us feel very cordial. When we learned that our return flight was relatively early, we also prepared fruits and sandwiches for us to take to the airport to eat while waiting for the flight. Beihai Shangri-La Hotel is the sixth hotel we have stayed in over the years. We have to admit that the management level of Shangri-La Hotel Management Group is consistent and always online.

IIsland Girl AngeleneOh my goodness!!!!!! We had an amazing time here! We went to celebrate out 9th wedding anniversary and I'm glad we chose this place. Upon arrival to the island, our host sent a driver to collect us at the port, and take us to our destination (free of charge). When we got to the villa, I was pleased with the warm greeting we received and the overall surroundings. The place was clean, tranquil and welcoming. I was pleasantly surprised when we were gifted a cake and drinks from our host. However, I was totally blown away wjen I saw our room! The view was everything! When we stepped out onto our private balcony, we had the best view of the beach and surrounding areas. Additionally, I must say that it was a priceless experience to witness the sunrise and high tide from that angle.
The chef was unable to be there because of personal reasons, but our host made sure that we were well taken care of, regarding other dining options on the island and he even recommended a driver to take us to good food joints. The driver turned out to be our chaperone for the entirety of our stay.😂 Breakfast was great and we enjoyed the company of the resident dog (which looks fierce, but is actually very friendly).❤️
Thanks to the caring nature of our hosts, our trip to the island was excellent and my only regret it that we didn't book to stay longer! 😭 Now that I have had this experience, I look forward to coming back to Weizhou Island, and staying at this villa. It was well worth the price!!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

My wife and I came on separated flight, with mine delayed over 5 hours. I arrived at 02:00 past midnight to check-in. First they the reception told me I’m in the wrong hotel. I had to proof my booking with them and the fact that my wife is already in the room. After some discussion they refused to check me in, but told me to call my wife to let me into the room. First, not checking in and registering a foreigner is against the law. Second, why should I wake up my sleeping wife at this late hours? After insisting on being checked in the process went fast and smoothly, which makes me wonder, why the discussions first?

At the breakfast buffet we were greeted by hordes of waiters watching over a half empty buffet, at 09:30. Nearly no western food options and no cold cuts. After asking I was treated to a plate of two pieces of Camembert, hard cheese and some kind of milk cheese. Not the standard for a Sheraton breakfast.
That’s also my final verdict. For this price and being a Sheraton Resort, it’s not up to the standards one would expect from a place with this name.

GGuest UserThe first time I went to Weizhou Island, I went through a lot of trouble to book a hotel and chose the unique Heyue Yaju Inn. After checking in, I really admire my ability to predict. Not only is the room clean and tidy, but even the lobby is bright and comfortable. The landlady is even more warm and thoughtful. Originally we were older. Unfavorable legs and feet. I was scared when I saw the room on the second floor. Unexpectedly, the landlady had already thought of it for us. Unexpectedly, we were moved to the next floor without even saying anything. We are very happy. I forgot to bring hand cream and the lady boss brought her own for me to use, which really touched me. This inn is considerate and considerate for its guests. The room is clean and smell-free, and the price is right. We made the right choice to come here.

SSanchezIsle Beach Home was a pleasant surprise. The view and closeness to the ocean is the best part of the stay. The rooms are very comfortable and the beds are of western hotel standards. The staff is attentive and friendly. They provide information about the island and also scooters for easy transportation. There is a restaurant on site with delicious food. It's also close to local seafood markets on the island. Another great part about the hotel is the infinity pool and deck. But there are a few things that detract from the overall greatness of the experience. The pool deck, although beautifully overlooking the ocean, is not set up for relaxing. The deck chairs are old and without cushions and there are no pool umbrellas to protect from the summer sun. And secondly, (this is not their fault or responsibility) the surrounding environment is the opposite of what the hotel promotes. The buildings and structures surrounding the hotel are unsafe and hazardous looking. But even with that, I would definitely stay her again.

The room was very big and the heating and air conditioning could not be turned on. It was a bit cold. I was not used to using the hand-held shower in the bathroom and bathtub. The interior of the room The decoration is very simple and a bit old. Although there is a stove, the owner does not advocate cooking in the room and needs to find a place outside to have breakfast. The WiFi network is not very good either.

GGuest UserA very design hotel, there is an elevator, the location is relatively remote, the nearest shell beach and the holy hall scenic area to ride an electric bike for about 10 minutes, the main one is a hidden wind, and the big countryside on the dripping Danping Shiluokou is different, like quiet can choose here, It’s too important to ride a small eDonkey. The breakfast variety is quite rich and the food is very comfortable. I specially tasted the hotel’s Thai food at lunch. I recommend fried hollow cabbage. It is better than curry. The disadvantage is that many rooms have small windows and the lighting is a bit dark. I prefer the sun to shine in or through the sight. The front desk also helped buy seafood on behalf of it, which is not expensive.
