GGuest UserOn our first day, we arrived to find a lot of guests, and our room wasn't ready even after a long wait. The lobby manager (I think her name was Cheng Jing) immediately helped us coordinate another room. Xiao Lin, who was in charge of reception, even added me on WeChat to proactively share details about our stay and a guide to exploring Beihai. Having stayed at many hotels, Marriott's service definitely ranks number one for me. And the hotel facilities are top-notch, no need to even mention them – the room type, location, and amenities are all fantastic! We initially planned to stay for two days, but my wife and kids were so comfortable that we extended our stay for another two. We'll definitely choose Marriott again when we come back to Beihai.

Ffree****The hotel's location is super close to the Guizhou Road seafood market, within walking distance. There are shared electric scooters right downstairs, which are really convenient for exploring the old town. The hotel service was excellent, really great, and they even upgraded my room. The monk fruit tea in the lobby was delicious. The smart control system in the room was very convenient. The only slight downside was that it was a bit noisy downstairs with people singing. Homestays in Beihai can be hit or miss, so having hotel service guarantees a better experience. It was great, I'll definitely come back again.

RremmberThe hotel is very close to the pier and Silver Beach. The waiters are very enthusiastic, especially Xiao Lao and Xiao Liang, who introduced local food and attractions. The swimming pool has clear water and a good environment. There is a bubble bath at night. The room is clean and comfortable, and the housekeeping lady is also very considerate. I was particularly surprised that because we had a lot of laundry, she specially prepared a clothes drying rack for us. The breakfast buffet tasted good. It is a good hotel.

GGuest UserWe had such a wonderful stay at this apartment. The moment we stepped inside the apartment, we just felt like going back home. It’s spacious, bright and airy with a little kitchen and a big and beautiful balcony with a fantastic view. The owner/staff is so friendly and helpful. All of our requests will be handled swiftly. The apartment will be cleaned and restocked with all the necessities everyday. We booked for two nights but extended 5 more nights. That tells you how we like the apartment so much. I highly recommend this place to my friends and family.

GGuest UserThe Sheraton Beihai Resort is located in Guantouling, which is a bit out of the way. The sand on Guantouling beach is quite coarse, and the waves are strong, so swimming isn't an option, and walking barefoot on the sand isn't pleasant. However, the sea here is a more beautiful and cleaner color than at Silver Beach. It's also much quieter, making it perfect for those who prefer to avoid crowds. It's an ideal place to just relax at the hotel and enjoy the sea view from your balcony. Feeling the sea breeze, listening to the waves, and gazing at the ocean are all very pleasant; the sea view is fantastic and the vista is expansive. My only minor gripe is the red house villa in front. There aren't many dining options nearby either; I opted for the hotel's breakfast buffet, which didn't have a huge variety and the taste was just average – enough to fill you up, but not particularly delicious. On the positive side, the hotel environment is excellent, very clean, and the service is incredibly warm. It's a great spot for lazy travelers who just want to relax at the hotel and enjoy the sea.

Xiao Jing Si Yuan provided excellent service, warmly recommending many Beihai specialties. The room was satisfactory, spacious, and had a private balcony with great city views. The price was very reasonable; I recommend it.

We originally wanted a twin room but got a king room instead, and they upgraded our room! We were very satisfied. The hotel also has a gym and laundry room, which is very convenient. The room was clean, and the price was great. Overall, I would highly recommend it.

From its location and facilities to the service, everything perfectly met my vacation needs, making it a hidden gem right by Silver Beach. The location is truly unbeatable! It's just a few minutes' walk to the core area of Silver Beach, making it super convenient to walk barefoot on the white sandy beach and watch the sunrise and sunset. The hotel's back door leads directly to the scenic area entrance, saving you the hassle of commuting. It's only a 5-minute drive to Qiaogang Style Street, which is incredibly convenient for enjoying seafood stalls and Vietnamese snacks. It's also close to the International Passenger Port, making it a stress-free option if you plan to visit Weizhou Island. The front desk even kindly shares tips to avoid common pitfalls and travel routes.

TTuomaxixingAsaka is a newly popular hotel and community in Beihai, bearing a striking resemblance to Aranya in Qinhuangdao. The hotel's prices are very budget-friendly, offering great value for money in Beihai. We visited during the National Day holiday, when prices at popular hotels typically soar 2-3 times. While Asaka Hotel also had a significant premium, it remained quite competitive compared to the beachfront hotels at Silver Beach. We initially stayed two nights at Silver Beach, then explored the Asaka community, found it impressive, and decided to move to the Ferris Wheel Seaview Resort. **⛲️Environment:** Asaka Hotel currently primarily consists of the Ferris Wheel, Summit, and other sub-brand resorts. These are essentially hotel-style apartments designed and decorated within the community's high-rise residential buildings. They feature IKEA furniture and appliances, with a Nordic design aesthetic. The main differences lie in location, orientation, and floor level. This time, we stayed in a Deluxe Seaview Room in the annex building of the Ferris Wheel Resort. It offered expansive views of the southeast-facing beach and the adorable Ferris Wheel 🎡 nearby. The room was a one-bedroom, one-living room, one-bathroom setup, similar to a small suite. There was also a private small courtyard at the room entrance with a washing machine and exhaust fan, perfect for storing odds and ends or drying clothes. A sizable balcony allowed for enjoying the view, relaxing, and catching the sunrise if you woke up early. Both the hotel and the room were relatively new and very clean. The living room had a small refrigerator and a stove (though not used). Breakfast was served as a set meal in the staff canteen; it was simple but decent. Alternatively, you could dine at one of the restaurants within the park. The service was quite good, with quick responses to inquiries. Overall, it felt like a well-serviced hotel-style apartment, suitable for an extended staycation. **🎡Facilities:** Asaka Park boasts a large outdoor water park, a children's pool, an indoor children's playground, and a children's library, making it ideal for families with kids—this is its biggest selling point compared to other hotels! Unfortunately, we encountered Typhoon 🌀 Muifa, which led to the closure of both indoor and outdoor children's facilities for several days. There are also adult pools, a cinema, a bookstore, an art gallery, several specialty restaurants and bars, and charming plazas with art sculptures and installations perfect for relaxing and taking photos. Around the park, you'll find numerous art installations and landscaped gardens with a similar theme. To the south are the landmark Ferris Wheel and a larger water park, though they were not open during my visit. Overall, Asaka is a community with a strong sense of design and plenty of recreational opportunities, well worth exploring, photographing, or even staying for a short visit. **🌀Typhoon Days:** We happened to be there during a direct hit from a typhoon, which significantly impacted our experience. The water park and children's playground were closed, and park restaurants were overcrowded. Waking up in the middle of the night, I could hear the howling wind outside and the slight swaying of the ceiling lamp inside 🫨 After the typhoon passed, the outdoor areas were a mess… However, I was impressed to see many service staff standing firm at their posts, ensuring the normal operation of the hotel community. **🪏Finally, let's talk about the downsides:** The hotel rooms are all located in high-rise buildings, but each building only has 2-4 elevators. When you factor in delivery personnel, you can imagine how busy it gets during peak hours. Our luck was pretty good, but we still had to wait a long time for elevators a few times. I suggest strictly enforcing the rule that delivery personnel are not allowed into the hotel. Surprisingly, the in-room phone in the annex building couldn't dial the front desk. We had to use our mobile phones to call the hotel's main line, and some front desk staff weren't even aware of this issue. I recommend fixing the direct-dial phone problem or at least informing guests upon check-in and providing alternative contact methods.

AAnonymous UserThe room is very new, the air conditioning is very powerful, everyone from the front desk to the room aunt to the breakfast aunt are very warm and polite, they greet each other actively when they meet, which is great. The hotel is in a good location, the old street is across the alley in front of the hotel, and the sea is behind the hotel. It has its own parking lot, which is very convenient for driving in and out. It is still a little far from Silver Beach, but Didi is very convenient to go back and forth, and orders are also accepted in seconds during the May Day holiday.
