The room is big and comfortably host 3 adults. We are pleasantly surprised to find a washing machine and other kitchen equipment in the room. Not to mention the walk in closet. It’s a full service apartment than a hotel room. The location is a bit far from public transport and attractions. However, the balcony with a fantastic sea view is to well worth the effort spent getting to the hotel. The hotel is also reasonably priced, considering that it was a peak season (summer vacation period).

I used JR INN for the first time. JR Tower Hotel Nikko Sapporo has used it. I stayed at a railway hotel for railway fans, but I was impressed this time. From the single room I stayed in, you can see all the vehicles coming in from the top of Hakodate Station platform. If you thought you could see Twilight Express and Hokuto Star in the time of running on the bed, Cassiopeia came in. In addition, the timetable is posted on the top floor bath, and the train is seen while bathing. There are many books related to the railway in the rest place, and you can know the history of the railway in Hokkaido. At the entrance of the hotel, there is a head mark such as Hokuto star, and the track is drawn on the floor, and it is a hotel that is not able to be caught in the railway mania from the moment when it enters. It is conveniently located in front of the station or in the station, and from the opposite room, Hakodate mountain can be seen, and I thought it was a good hotel other than railway fans.

Hotel was in good location next to morning seafood market and short walk to red warehouse. Bath house was clean with panaromic view of the city and coastline. Room was clean and new. Comes with free washing machine. Hotel carpark was convenient although we need to pay for it (1000 yen per day) Highly recommend.

Stayed for 2 nights with my friend.
Staff are very professional and helpful.
It was my friend’s birthday and the surprise for her was successful thanks to them.
Breakfast was also amazing. We didn’t get bored although we had totally same food for 2 days.
The room was not that spacious as we expected, but still, it was a comfortable stay and we will definitely visit here again. Thank you.

Location is close to JR station, if you drive, there is a huge parking garage beside it. You can exchange your ticket with the ”season” ticket from the hotel lobby so you don't need to pay every time you enter and exit. But they will return the ticket to you when you check out so you can pay at the garage upon exiting. The room is not very big but spacious enough to open two large luggages. It is within walking distance to the morning market too.

We stayed at Century Marina for our first night in Hokkaido and originally chose it for its proximity to most of the sites we wanted to see in Hakodate. It's just a few minute walk from the train station with plenty of sidewalks so pulling our suitcases was no issue. The hotel also has a large parking lot if you choose to drive. It's also just a few minute walk from the warehouse district and the older area up the hill where a lot of historical embassies and churches are. The hotel's breakfast buffet is an experience itself with an extensive spread of both Japanese and Western food options. You will reserve a time slot when checking in, but even then you should expect a 10-20 minute wait in the morning to get your table, so its best to go up before your reserved time. This hotel also has one of the best rooftop onsen I've seen, with wonderful views of the whole marina and hill. When booking I didn't realize there was a hot springs so this was a nice surprise. Our room was right next to the elevator but very quiet and clean. This is a newer hotel too so everything felt very fresh and well-maintained. We checked in using Japanese, but the hotel has check-in info packets and signs in English so this is a good option for non-Japanese speaking guests as well.

I used it for the first time. A luxury hotel, breakfast is a special mention! We chose Japanese food in Azeria for the first night 1 and Matsumae for the second night. At the buffet, there was a heap of salmon roe that I had never seen before, and I was able to make a super gorgeous seafood bowl, which was really amazing. 2 Matsumae on the night was also a very nice set, and I chose the salmon roe set, but this is also super satisfying. My friend was Hitsumabushi set, which looked very delicious! The room was large and well maintained, and it was good because it had a long-established style plus modern functionality.

This hotel is located at the Yunokawa area in Hakodate. It's reachable within 20 minutes from Hakodate bus terminal. There are three buses serving this area: 95, 95A and 96. There is also a direct bus from/to Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto station with a fee of ¥900/person/way. We booked a Japanese-style room with a private onsen bath facing the ocean. The view is beyond our expectation. The room is super spacious - consisting of the entrance area, sleeping area, living room, a toilet, and bath area. They are still using the actual key instead of keycards. They served some snacks, tea, free beers, bottled water and cold tea. The room we booked also provided halfboard (dinner and breakfast). The food was amazing with many varieties, including our favourites - king crabs. All was served in a buffet style so you can eat this crab as much as you want.

The room is not very soundproof. When the sea breeze is strong at night, a small window is blown open and keeps making noises. The facilities are a bit old. In addition, it takes nearly ten minutes to walk to the nearest Yunokawa Onsen Station. If you are a traveler in a hurry, this place is not very suitable. But the sea view of the room is great, and the outdoor private hot spring is also very good! The restaurant where you eat is also a sea view restaurant. The hotel service is still very good. It is suitable to stay for a few more days to experience it slowly.

The hotel is located in the center, convenient to every attraction. It is very convenient to take a bus up the mountain to see the night view. The hot spring is clean and comfortable. There is seafood for breakfast, not many choices, but the quality is OK.

Hhairy17Each guest room will have a personal attendant who helped to serve dinner and attend to you needs. The dinner was good, portion was generous. Onsen was cosy and nice. Place looks very clean and not old at all even though its 50 years old. Onsen had indoor and outdoor. The area is not big, just a standard onsen. Place is not very touristy, more of locals who visit the place. Quiet and cosy, away from city life. Near the residential area which is quiet. After dinner, they help to arrange the futon for us :) Room was VERY BIGGG Breakfast had some repeated dishes and was not as amazing as dinner, but overall still a good stay.
GGuest UserI stayed overnight with my wife. I could see the Tsugaru Strait from the room. It was cloudy, but I understood the wonderfulness of the location. The food was really good. The seafood was fresh and the food presentation was great. I was also happy that the mini bottle of the festival was included free of charge in the reservation plan. There was a semi-open-air bath in the large communal bath. It was nice to see the Tsugaru Strait from here. The staff at the inn, including Mr. Nakai, served the guests very politely. The stay at this inn was very comfortable. With such facilities, meals and services, I thought it was a great deal to have a total of about 80,000 yen for two people despite the Obon festival. This is a recommended inn.
GGuest UserIt has been almost 3 years that we have not visited Japan. Once Japan opened tourism, we packed our bags. We decided this trip will be a trip to enjoy some onsen (hot springs bath) and to see some fall foliage in colors. We picked Hakodate for onsen. This hotel offers in room open air bath tub on the balcony with a 180 degree ocean view!! Our activities were focused on taking onsen and having great food at the hotel buffet restaurant. After a great onsen bath, we wore the clothing they provided to us to the restaurant, very layback and relaxing!! There were many families, old and very young at the hotel over the weekend. So we think families take short vacations here. Strongly recommend to add Hakodate and this hotel to be part of your tour in Japan !
CChun YangConvenient location, facilities and scenery are very good. The bathhouse is very spacious. The room is very new. It is very close to the station and the market. It can be reached on foot. The price is very affordable. It is a good choice for travel.
GGuest UserThe hot spring this time had a good view ... The quality of the hot spring and the smell of the hot spring were good ... Also, when I went to Hakodate, I wanted to stay. From Hakodate Morning Market ... True squid live sashimi at night at Yangshu Bar (if you add geso to soy sauce, it moves and is fresh) ... Cheap and delicious, Peony Sea ** live sashimi, herring sashimi, hokke live sashimi, mambo liver mixing, raw sashimi, ... Live taraba, live hairy crab, live oysters ... ← Looking forward to the next time ... After eating ... Also ... Sky Traveler's Hot Spring ♨️ ... More than 8 times on this trip ... I tasted the hot springs ... It was the best ... ...I wish I had ice cream for breakfast...laughs
GGuest User< Good thing > I stayed in a Japanese-style room (7.5 book). I used it with my baby. From the conclusion, the food was very nice (really), the hall was clean, the hot springs were comfortable, and ice candy and water / special drinks (forgot the name) were prepared for free after the hot springs. < What I thought a little > ● Room size Some people may say that this size is enough, but I was cramped with my 々 family. However, there was no space except for the space of the 7.5 chapter in the room, and it felt difficult to stay overnight. The closet is so small that if you bring it with you, you will have to spread it to the room unless it is a carry bag that can be installed on the plane. ● There is a customer service baby, so if possible, I asked if early check-in was possible. Then, the answer was ”Early check-in is impossible.” There is no word to decorate, only the above words. Next, he said, ”Well, I don't know if it's 14:30.” It was a call that I couldn't think of as a phone response from a very large hotel. I was disappointed before I went. The counter depends on the person, but I could see the customer service that was a little unpleasant. (Of course, there were some nice people) ● Meal time-specification I think there is Corona's support, so time-specification is OK, but what if you are late? When I visited, I was told, ”5 minutes is fine, but it's more difficult.” To be honest, it was difficult to travel to meet the time of the meal. I wanted communication such as having a little more grace or being able to change the time until a few minutes ago. Next time I will go to another accommodation.
GGuest UserThis hotel is a relatively newer hotel . There is a huge free open carpark behind the hotel. Check in was fast . Welcome drinks were served. The twin rooms are very comfortable with good temperature control and firm beds. Wifi was fast. There was a bathtub and a area to sit down and shower just like in the onsen area. Two bottles of water were provided. Dinner was good with snow crabs , sashimi like tuna , octopus , ikura etc . There was also a ramen section where you cook your own ramen . For desert , there was an assortment of cakes and ice cream . Onsens were new and relatively empty. The bathing area was adequately lit . The only drawback was that only one type of shampoo and conditioner was available . There was a long indoor onsen . Outdoor onsens had a long sort of infinity pool , another pool and two barrel tubs . The onsens were clean and new and quiet. There was also a resting area that looked out over the city at night . What would make the experience better would be perhaps popsicles could be offered for all to enjoy after the onsen. Breakfast was good . Overall a very comfortable and reasonably priced stay near an Aeon mall and fantastic soba restaurant
GGuest UserIt was a nostalgic inn full of Showa retro feeling. It is very beautiful, but it is not temperate and can relax. The meal and bath were very good, but there was no feeling of pulling out of the group. I was worried about the room on the 2 floor of the cherry blossoms, but the strange smell was full. I opened the window and turned the air cleaner, but I was worried until the morning. Isn't Haori washed every time? I didn't use it because I smelled like someone worn? The cloth on the edge of the chair was broken, the menu file on the seat table was broken, and it was quite old. The small place was able to maintain every time ... and it was a pity. The cosmetic water and emulsion with a straw are dry enough to not be used at all. I think it's better to bring your own. I had a pack plan like a lady set, so I followed the amenities separately, but I needed the morning because it was one time. I don't notice at first glance, but I was sorry that I entered the entrance and had a cardboard in the back of my right hand. The garden from the window of the cherry blossom room is peeled off or a pity. The view from the lobby was nice. Good point The staff are very friendly and helpful. The garbage is always cleaned cleanly enough to not fall one garbage. From the bus stop of the shuttle bus from the airport, it is within walking distance of the city tram station. Because the bus was suspended during the declaration of emergency, I went to the Trapistinne Abbey for about 1500 yen by taxi. I felt a lot closer from around Hakodate station.
GGuest UserBecause it is not a luxury inn, I think it is enough to think about care and comfort in general unless the expectation value for the service and the atmosphere of the facility for the price is too high. The 3 floor I stayed was enough for two people, the room itself was new and the size was enough. The cleaning is also done properly. The bath is not new, but the maintenance was also done properly. The sparkling wine, coffee and soft cream in the lounge are also happy service. Breakfast was asked for seafood bowl on the first day. This content is too much at this price, and the second day was cancelled by the corona pass? The buffet seems to have revived and I had a lot of rich menu delicious! It is an inn operated with a good or bad feeling at home. I think there is no dissatisfaction if you are looking for a warm but private atmosphere. If you ask for a luxury inn atmosphere and service, the story is different. We are satisfied in that sense. I will see you again. If there is only one improvement point, I thought that it would be better to have a men's hot water and a woman's hot water every day, and to put an open-air bath in a large bath equally in the morning / night. (I am satisfied with the open-air bath twice at night, but my husband only put it in the open-air bath in the morning w)
JJunghwanThe hotel is an hour away from Hakodate station. It is an old styled hotel but well kept. Their bath is superb and we enjoyed using it. The receptionists didn’t speak English and they had instructions in English instead.
They don’t provide any water. You need to purchase them for 100yen each. I asked for Japanese room but they gave me beds instead.
I had pleasant stay and would consider visiting again
