"A rare find at this ocean-view hot spring hotel! Soaking in the hot spring while gazing at the sea, daydreaming, or chatting is simply wonderful! From the moment we arrived, we had a dedicated butler who escorted us to the large lounge for check-in. While their English wasn't fluent, they could communicate in Japanese and Chinese using a translation app, and were very responsible in repeatedly confirming our reservation times. The private hot spring bath we booked was excellent in both its environment and facilities, and both the indoor and outdoor public baths offered ocean views. Cleanliness was impeccable, and the ocean-view room was enormous; we even had albatrosses visiting outside the window. The kaiseki cuisine at breakfast and dinner was absolutely amazing—delicious and beautifully presented—I was extremely satisfied!"

"This is the hotel we changed from the chain hotel at the station. Because there is a hot spring here. It is only one stop from the airport to the hotel, and even if you take a taxi, it is only 50 RMB. There is a very convenient bus stop at the door of the hotel, and it takes about 30 minutes to get to the city. The hotel's breakfast is very rich and you can eat it every day. The hot spring service is also quite commendable. I highly recommend it. If you go with a family, book a room by the sea. In fact, it is very cost-effective. One room can accommodate 4~5 people, and then looking at the seaside is very good."

"Our room was incredibly spacious, featuring a separate large bed and a traditional tatami room within the suite. It felt very open, and each day we could see little monkeys bathing in the tropical botanical garden across the way from our window. This Japanese hotel was incredibly relaxing, with a well-thought-out layout that definitely surpasses many five-star hotels in China, like the Park Hyatt Guangzhou we stayed at later – truly a 'fighter jet among rubbish.' While not luxurious, the meticulous design details made our stay exceptionally comfortable. The food was excellent; despite the crowds, everything was well-organized, and we never had to wait long. Every night, we enjoyed soaking in the hot spring to the sound of the ocean waves, followed by incredibly delicious drinks. The relaxing experience in Hakodate far exceeded that in Sapporo. The only minor drawback is that the hotel isn't directly on the beachfront, which explains why it's much more affordable than nearby places like Hanatsuki or Wakamatsu. It's mostly Japanese guests here, with no international tour groups. Plus, there's a washer and dryer on the top floor."

"The hotel is close to the sea but a bit far from the JR station. The room was clean, and the triple room had enough space for three suitcases. The bedding was comfortable too. For breakfast, you can choose between a set meal or a buffet, but there's a long wait for the buffet. We opted for the set meal both days, and it was quite good. The onsen offers nice views of Hakodate, which is a plus."

"The hotel is not in the city center, but it is very easy to get to the hotel by bus. The room is relatively small and the windows and doors cannot be opened. Since it is centrally air-conditioned, the heating is very warm (hot). "I'd call this unbeatable. First off, the front desk service was truly above and beyond my expectations. It was snowing heavily, and the bellhop was still waiting outside for guests to arrive, helping with luggage. The outdoor private onsen in the room was also exceptional; the view and atmosphere were incredible. The breakfast, with its unbeatable ocean view, topped it all off. I had a wonderful day in Hakodate!"

"The facilities are quite new. Dazheng Heping has two styles of hot springs. This time I lived in a Dazheng style room. I hope I can live in Pingcheng style next time. The sea view from the window is OK, after all, there is still a short distance from the beach. The only dissatisfaction is that the air conditioner in the room cannot be adjusted. If the window is not opened in the room, it is very stuffy. I even have to take off my clothes to sleep. If it is cold outside, I should also give the right to adjust the indoor temperature to the guests. Everyone has a different sense of temperature."
