"I visited Hakodate during Golden Week, and it was my first time traveling here by Shinkansen from Sendai, via Aomori. That's why I chose a hotel right next to the JR station. Its convenience in terms of transportation is simply unbeatable.
Hakodate Morning Market is just across the street from the hotel, making dining and shopping incredibly easy.
Since there were many guests checking in, both the check-in process and waiting for the elevators took quite a bit of time.
The room amenities were complete and comfortable.
The only downside was that the room rate during Golden Week was 3-4 times higher than usual, which was definitely not cheap."

"The hotel has a not to be missed ocean view, but the food variety turns out to be the disappointment. Not so much of choice when comparing it with other ryukan. Another places for your attention is that the toilet and the room has a very strong and unpleasant urine smell. Though I cannot find any uncleaned spots in the toilet, the odor is simply untolerable.
The onsen at the balcony has human hair from probably the previous customer and the hotel should do better in cleaning it.
