"Location is the king. Booked a room that can see the canal right off the window for a peaceful view. Otaru is a small town and most of the places are within walking distance. Stroll along the Otaru canal right in front of the hotel was great! Room itself was normal, and we have one advice for the hotel to just remove the aged cupboards in front of the beds since nobody really needs them to give more walking space and luggage space. Onsen on the top floor was decent though not of the best, offering a good view of the canal. Service at the hotel was normal. Those who have cars will need to pay 1200 yen for one day of parking (will need to inform hotel to reserve the parking space when you go out). Everybody, regardless you are going to onsen or not, needs to pay 150 yen onsen tax when you check in."

GGuest UserOne of our favourite onsen hotels in Hokkaido. Very clean and impeccable service! Loved the public onsen, very nicely decorated, tranquil and clean. We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed the breakfast and traditional japanese full course dinner on both nights. Staff was very attentive to detail and provided excellent service. The hotel is a distance away from the Hakodate city centre but had free parking and ample parking lots. Since we drove, proximity to the city centre was not too much of a concern for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hanabishi and would stay again!

YYinyuecangyingAdvantages: The house is very popular, the interior layout is also very tasteful, like his fireplace is very interesting, the location is not bad, it is very convenient everywhere.
Disadvantages: Although there are two air conditioners and an air conditioner fan, it basically does not work if you don’t order the fireplace. Although there is red wine, we didn’t see the bottle opener. The cleaning was poor. The bed we slept in had stains. Another feeling was not changed. There were residual stains under the toilet seat. Slippers were a bit old and Some people need to be careful when sliding upstairs. The quilt is a single person. It is not very comfortable to be covered by two people. The mattress is also old.
Summary: I am still satisfied with staying for three days. I like the feeling of burning in front of the fireplace.

Check-in was late around 21:00, but I was able to respond with a smile. However, it was a pity that I missed the alcoholic drink service in the lobby.
The room was still large and easy to use. The bed width is 156 cm, so it's big enough for me to sleep next to it.
As for breakfast, the main menu was colorful salad. The corn soup was very tasty and delicious at first sip, but the amount was large and the latter half felt a little heavy. The bread was very delicious.
It is a recommended hotel for sightseeing, of course, but also for relaxing alone.

GGuest UserWhen people book a hotel, they usually think that booking a room is enough, and there is no option to just click on the first booking option of the hotel on Ctrip. See the red part in the picture. When we arrived at the hotel, we were asked to stay in one room for two nights. If we double the room fee, we contact Ctrip and in the end Ctrip will only bear part of the difference. Most of it is borne by ourselves. The experience is very poor.
