"I'm a clean freak, so I stayed at the Hanting Hotel. Haha, Hanting's hygiene is definitely top-notch; it was spotless inside and out. The front desk staff were very welcoming, and in addition to the two bottles of drinking water in the room, they also gave me two complimentary bottles of hot water every day. Very convenient, it's a six-minute walk from the bus station, and taxis to several attractions are quick. Highly recommended! Unfortunately, I was too tired from hiking and forgot to take pictures when I got back. Oh, and the breakfast was very plentiful! Spicy soup, porridge, eggs, milk, cold dishes, hot dishes, fried eggs—lots of choices."

"Like coming home, receiving thoughtful care everywhere. Mo Shang Yi Su, though called a B&B, has long surpassed the typical 'agritainment' style. Its facilities rival those of a star-rated hotel, but with an added warmth and human touch that high-end hotels often lack. When I wanted to visit the Shaolin Temple scenic area, the proprietress said, ”Wait a moment, I'll drive you there.” Upon getting out, she didn't forget to remind me, ”Remember to call me when you're done, and I'll pick you up.” It was only about 600-700 meters, but it was incredibly heartwarming. As the sun set, the proprietress had already hosed down the rooftop terrace, suggesting we could go up and sit. After dinner, the entire B&B was filled with the scent of agarwood. It was fascinating to catch glimpses of the students' training sessions, which added to the overall Shaolin experience. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. We booked a room with a beautiful mountain view, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The hotel staff were friendly and very helpful throughout our stay. We were able to purchase tickets for the Shaolin Kung Fu show directly through the front desk at the same price as elsewhere, with the added benefit of being able to choose our preferred seats. Overall, a comfortable stay and a good choice for visitors planning to explore the Shaolin Temple area."

"Amazing facility for the price-- complimentary breakfast alone is worth the room price. Excellent location to grab a taxi to Shaolin Temple National Park (30 to 40RMB, in my experience). Staff is professional, friendly. Room is clean, spacious, very comfortable, WiFi works great, they can supply phone charger, fruit store within 10-minute walk, KUNG FU PIZZA- a delightful restaurant is located just West, behind the hotel through a sidewalk access to the RIGHT of the building facing it. I would strongly recommend this place as a base for exploring Shaolin."

"This location is heaven on earth. Surrounded by mountains that take on the form of Buddha. You sit right in the palm of a blessed spot. It is family owned and they treat you like family while you are there. By far some of the kindest people you will meet on your trip. Food is fantastic and homemade. There is a rooftop spot you can relax at, have tea, and even enjoy your meal there. The Shaolin temple is just a short walk from the hotel, and the owners will offer to drive you every time. Make sure to stay here if you are in the area. You will not regret it."

"It's in an alley, but the sign is clear and can be seen from the opposite side of Shaolin Avenue. We arrived before dawn, and the boss came out from his sleep to open the door for us and let us store our luggage. He was such a nice guy. We came back after climbing the mountain in the afternoon and checked in at around 5 o'clock. They also helped us upgrade the room. The room was so beautiful and clean. Thank you again, Jiayun Ruishe gave me wonderful memories of this trip."

Parking is convenient, and there are charging stations available. The only downside is a severe odor coming from the bathroom. The drainpipes lack a P-trap, and the corrugated pipe under the sink isn't sealed where it connects to the in-wall PVC drain, essentially providing a direct connection from the sewer to the room, causing a strong unpleasant smell."

Great homestay with friendly and serviceminded hosts The Dengfeng Youlu Homestay was a very nice experience and can be highly recommended. The rooms were very clean and modern. Spacious and with comfortable beds. The bathroom was also modern with nice amenities. The location is a little outside the city, but closer to the main attractions to Mount Song. So easy to reach with taxi. We found the location very good and convenient since we wanted to go to the scenic areas. We had breakfast included and found it very tasty and nice. It was plain and fresh and a nice selection of nutritious food before starting the day. The service was very good. The hosts didn’t speak much English, but we used translator apps so absolutely no problem for foreigners. The Dengfeng Youlu honestly has a nice compound with a Chinese garden. They also have a pool. It looks very comfy and cosy to sit and enjoy the garden, but we were there in beginning January so it was wintertime. The room we got had nice view of the garden and the mountains. We can for sure recommend this homestay and we think the reviews written so fare are very correct.

It is very convenient to travel to the mountain. It is very close to Dalu City and has a night market. The rooms are spacious and transparent, with their own courtyard and garden, and a lotus pond tea room, where you can drink tea and relax. Equipped with laundry room, charging pile, pet friendly. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding was comfortable, the boss was friendly and welcoming, and the service was meticulous and intimate. Very suitable for family outings, mountaineering vacations, short-distance living.

Excellent, it exceeded my expectations! The staff was very warm and welcoming. The room was spacious and lovely, and the entire guesthouse had a great sense of design. I'll definitely stay here again next time I visit. It's super close to the scenic area, about a 10-minute walk, which was a huge convenience, especially during the holidays.

Everything was amazing, the hotel was beautiful with an amazing view of the mountains. The staff was incredibly helpful and made our stay even better, especially Wang Jing who could speak English and helped us with translation. They even let us use the hot springs and pool after our checkout. The restaurant served delicious food at a very comfortable price. I stayed in a Mongolian type room and it was a great experience, very clean and confortable. I will definitely come back!

The hotel is nice, cosy, and comfortable. The location is a bit far from the Shaolin scenic area, but it’s easy to get around using DiDi. It really depends on the purpose of your trip—if you’re visiting for business, this would be a great place to stay. The staff are friendly, and there is a wide variety of food options nearby. Recommended!

Very familial guesthouse as close as it can be from Shaolin Monastery. The owners cook good food and can drive you everywhere for a price. The wife is a guide, so she's very resourceful about what to see and do in the area. The husband's brother is a Shaolin monk so you can speak about kung-fu with him. We had a little misunderstanding at the beginning as I had booked a room with a mountain view and the one prepared had no window to the outside but I was able to change rooms. With their help I was able to hike everywher on the beautiful mountains around as I was less interested in kung-fu than the scenery.

Very friendly and helpful staff. One person spoke some English which made things a little easier for me. It's a quick taxi ride to Songshan. It's not really in a location to walk to places so I think it's best if you have your own car. The taxi driver and 'other' drivers do like to overcharge tourists. Getting off at the bus station and being harassed by drivers was unpleasant and gave Dengfeng a bad feeling. There is no train so unless you have a car, you'll also have this unpleasant experience. Dengfeng is quite nice just the welcome is unfortunate. The hotel staff were wonderful, and the room was spacious. I loved the little table by the window, very pleasant. The restaurant across from the parking lot has tasty food and very reasonable priced.
