The mattress is soft, and the soundproofing is excellent, so you don't have to worry about noisy kids disturbing other guests. The hotel's downtown location is perfect! It's just a few minutes' walk to popular spots like Dongxi Alley, Jingjiang Prince City, and Xiaoyao Tower. Elephant Trunk Hill and Sun & Moon Pagodas are only a ten-minute walk away, saving you the hassle and cost of constantly taking taxis. This makes exploring the sights with elderly parents and children incredibly convenient and stress-free. Plus, there are tons of authentic Guilin snacks right downstairs, making dining super easy. The front desk staff are lovely, providing gentle and attentive service. We even received complimentary herbal tea upon check-in. The rooftop observation deck offers breathtaking views – you can oversee the entire ancient city and its unique karst peaks, especially stunning at dusk, perfect for photos! "The room was spacious, bright, and comfortable. The service was excellent; they even called ahead to confirm our check-in time and needs for the next day. The location is superb, right by the lake with direct views of the Sun and Moon Pagodas. It's also very convenient for getting to the pedestrian street. Since my friend had a child with her, the hotel arranged a car to take us to the high-speed rail station and even gave us a souvenir, which was a very thoughtful touch. If I get the chance to visit Guilin again, I will definitely choose to stay here."

"The hotel is located right by Rong Lake, near the Two Rivers and Four Lakes scenic area, which is very quiet. In the mornings, you can hear birds chirping from the park. It's a 15-minute walk to the free Elephant Trunk Hill scenic area, and a 7-minute walk to see the Sun and Moon Pagodas at night, where you can also take a cruise. This location pretty much covers all the attractions in Guilin city. All the hotel staff were lovely, and I especially want to thank a female staff member or supervisor at the front desk – I'm not entirely sure which she was. It had been raining for days, and after checking out, we canceled our train to Yangshuo, fearing flooding and that we wouldn't be able to enjoy ourselves there. She told us that since we had traveled so far, we should still go and see it, as the scenery is beautiful and it doesn't rain constantly; we wouldn't know until we got there. So, we re-bought our tickets and went. She even helped us make a waterproof cover for our child's camera, which was incredibly thoughtful. When we got there, we found it hadn't rained for the past two days, and we were able to enjoy bamboo rafting and everything. The scenery truly was breathtaking, and it was definitely worth the trip! Coming all the way from Beijing, it certainly made our long journey worthwhile. We came here in a hurry this time and didn't plan anything, relying entirely on the information and advice from the front desk concierge. Their explanations made everything so much clearer. We'll definitely choose this place again for our next trip."

"I'm usually not one to write reviews, but I just had to for this place – I'm incredibly satisfied! Everything, from the room to the service to the location, deserves five stars. Even though the room wasn't huge, it was exceptionally clean, minimalist, and fully functional, which was all I needed. Getting around was super convenient; I just rented an e-bike or a shared bike and went wherever I wanted. And then there's the service – oh, the service! What really surprised me was how genuinely enthusiastic *everyone* was. Not just one person, but every single staff member. It honestly felt like coming home. The 7th floor has the restaurant, gym, and laundry room all together, so you don't have to run to different floors. The Guilin rice noodles at breakfast were delicious, and I also tried their local specialty, Youcha (oil tea), which was really tasty! If I get the chance to come to Guilin again, I'll definitely choose this place."

"Upgraded to a balcony room for one night, directly facing the beautiful Li River and Fubo Hill. The evening breeze was so pleasant. The double sinks, toilet, and shower room were all separate, which was very convenient. Later, we moved to a 180-degree river view room, where I could just relax on the tatami mat and gaze at the river – truly a stolen moment of leisure. The oversized bathtub was perfect for a relaxing soak and stress relief. The mini-bar was free, and the complimentary fruit at night was delicious. The butler and front desk staff were all so kind, polite, and provided excellent service, always ready to help. They proactively asked daily if we needed anything, if the room temperature was comfortable, or if we wanted to choose different pillows. We slept wonderfully every night. The hotel breakfast offered a great variety, including two types of rice noodles (dry and soup). There were also two kinds of herbal teas daily, like luo han guo and goji berry. We had dinner à la carte, and the food was delicious, the ambiance beautiful, making it perfect for photos. The hotel package included a photoshoot with a good selection of outfits. The photographer was patient and meticulous, and selecting the photos was a smooth process. My mom absolutely loved the hotel's cultural handicraft experience; she made three phone charms and really enjoyed it. I also tried the hotel spa. The masseuse was quiet throughout but worked hard, and her technique was very good. The most memorable part of our Guilin trip was our stay at Lijiang Courtyard. We felt completely at home. After adding the hotel on WeChat, I received a guide with recommendations for places nearby. I got to try delicious rice noodles and see Elephant Trunk Hill, just like in my textbooks! The hotel's location is fantastic; turn right when you leave, and you're at a food street. Elephant Trunk Hill scenic area is also only about a 10-minute walk away. The hotel facilities are excellent, and the room was clean and tidy. Even though it's in the city center, it was incredibly quiet at night, and I slept soundly until morning. Before checking out, the front desk staff thoughtfully asked about my stay and even helped carry my luggage to the pick-up point. The service was absolutely top-notch! The room was quite spacious and had a balcony with a glimpse of the Li River, which was a pleasant surprise. The room facilities were well-planned and functional. The inn's decor was stylish, with a Chinese aesthetic that made every photo-op Instagram-worthy – perfect for ladies in traditional outfits. The front desk staff were incredibly enthusiastic and spoke excellent English, which explains the high number of foreign guests and the great atmosphere. Their ground-floor restaurant has been on the 'must-eat' list for several years running and is very famous and popular locally, with long queues every day – definitely give it a try. Hotel guests get a 10% discount, and remember to ask the front desk to arrange a table for you to skip the queue, otherwise, you'll be waiting forever.

Guangxi is such a pleasant place. After attending a concert in Nanning, I thought I'd come to Yangshuo for a vacation. For me, a good hotel can meet many needs. From hardware to software, thoughtful service makes you feel more at ease. From the moment I entered the hotel, I felt that thoughtfulness. I'm quite a stickler for details. The hotel's cleanliness, the maintenance of its public areas, and even the toiletries are all meticulously chosen. The refrigerator, kettle, and hairdryer are all carefully prepared and not just thrown in. Also, the bathrobe is incredibly comfortable! That's a rare find! I booked a room with a terrace, and sitting there in the afternoon or early morning, you can really feel the tranquility of the mountains. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful, and there was also an afternoon tea (the desserts were tasty too). Initially, when I came to Yangshuo, I only felt that the scenery was beautiful. But staying at this hotel, I truly realized that even in such a so-called 'paradise,' you can experience a different, perhaps even more luxurious, feeling. Honestly, if you want an excellent experience when you come to Yangshuo, you can choose this hotel. It's incredibly convenient whether you're going to eat at Ten-Mile Gallery or explore the old town. More importantly, the scenery viewed from within the hotel is absolutely twice as wonderful, without the crowds and noise (a true resort destination!). You really can fall in love with a city because of a hotel. Everything above is my genuine feeling. The hotel's attention to detail is truly heartfelt, especially the large public lawn in front of the hotel, which gives a very relaxing and pleasant feeling. Every corner offers a picturesque spot for photos. Unlike the bustling West Street, this entire space is tranquil and therapeutic. The soundproofing in the rooms is excellent, ensuring an undisturbed night's sleep. The in-room amenities are comprehensive, with a smart home system and TOTO brand bathroom fixtures, providing a wonderful living experience. If you're looking to relax, unwind, and escape the city noise, this is the perfect place. Its location is another huge plus, making getting around incredibly convenient. You can rent an electric scooter right outside to explore the Ten-Mile Gallery, and the Yulong River bamboo rafting dock is within walking distance. Attractions like the Big Banyan Tree, Moon Hill, Ruyi Peak, Silver Cave, and Impression Sanjie Liu, as well as West Street, are all just a short drive away. For those driving, there are EV charging stations and free parking spaces, making both cycling and driving stress-free and simplifying your travel itinerary.

Five-star rating plus 9 photos for my favorite B&B and its lovely hostess! Our family trip to Guilin Yangshuo this time had its ups and downs with the weather. It didn't rain as forecasted, but it was incredibly hot during the day. We ended up spending a lot of time at the B&B, but we had an absolutely wonderful experience. First off, the guesthouse was spotless, and everyone's service was incredibly kind and thoughtful. We booked the New Chinese Suite, which had large floor-to-ceiling windows. In the afternoon, we were even treated to an afternoon tea. After resting, we rented electric scooters from the B&B and went cycling along the Ten-Mile Gallery, which was fantastic. The highlight was definitely after dinner, enjoying the hostess's bartending skills at the B&B's bar. She's beautiful, has a cheerful personality, and makes excellent cocktails. We kept enjoying drink after drink into the evening. Next time when it's cooler, I'll definitely be back to Yangshuo for rafting and to stay at this B&B again. See you then!

Came to Guilin with my best friend and we were so happy with our stay at the Versailles Hotel! The location is fantastic, the service is thoughtful, and the facilities are comprehensive. We loved the modern style and the environment was really nice and clean. It's close to all the main attractions and there are tons of great food options nearby. A special shout-out to the front desk staff – they were so enthusiastic and attentive, always quick to help with anything we needed. We really felt the hotel's personalized service and management. This hotel in Yangshuo is absolutely fantastic! The room was clean and comfortable, with stunning mountain views. Waking up and opening the window to a lush green landscape was so relaxing and refreshing. The front desk offers electric bike rentals that are in excellent condition with plenty of battery life, and at a great price. It was super convenient for riding to Yulong River and Ten-Mile Gallery, allowing us to enjoy the scenery with the wind in our hair – so free and enjoyable. The service was thoughtful and attentive, making getting around incredibly easy. The value for money is unbeatable; choosing this place for your trip to Yangshuo is definitely the right call!

😅 I thought I booked a room with a view, but it turns out the 'view' was *inside* the room 😂, not outside. Plus, there's a hospital right next door 🏥🫣😓 **Facilities:** The room's facilities are very well-designed. The shower, toilet, and sink are all separate, which is great for a family with different needs using them simultaneously. The breakfast buffet didn't have a huge variety of dishes, but the taste was decent. The freshly made Guilin rice noodles were delicious, and the takeaway coffee was a nice touch (saved me some money 😁). **Cleanliness:** The hygiene was spot on, but I do have one small suggestion: the sofa cover in the living room was a bit scratchy 🥲. **Environment:** The view outside the window wasn't great. The room I booked must be one of those 'influencer' rooms 😉, as I took some great videos and photos inside (they turned out really well)! 😊 **Service:** After checking in at the front desk, a butler helped me with my luggage and showed me to my room. They also explained the hotel's facilities and services, which was very thoughtful. The butler's responses to messages were also very prompt 😊. Very, very, very, very satisfied! They even washed my little one's clothes and delivered them back to the room! 😚😚 Overall, the experience was pretty good. And they even gave me some Luo Han Guo tea when I checked out 🍵😊. Thanks a lot!

The hotel boasts an excellent location right next to Rong Lake, practically part of the city park. The stunning lake and mountain scenery are right before your eyes. The hotel itself is a classic Republican-era building, exuding a sense of history and cherished memories, like a quiet, wise elder full of stories. Our room even had a balcony, and sitting there sipping tea while gazing at Rong Lake below truly felt like escaping the hustle and bustle, bringing a sense of calm. The hotel also kindly provided coffee vouchers, which helped pass the time while waiting for our flight.

Had an incredible stay here! The views are stunning (probably one of the best out of all the other accommodations nearby), the room was clean and the service was friendly. It's a family owned business and everyone is lovely. If you're taking a bus, it won't drop you all the way to the hotel but if you give the hotel a call, someone can come pick you up from the bus stop. I had a bit of a miscommunication with my previous hotel who arranged a coach for us that dropped us off at a very far away drop off point and someone still came and picked us up from there with no complaints (and did not charge us for it)!! We were also dropped back off at the bus stop on the day we left. No one spoke much English which made it a little harder, but we got by with a translator app. There are quite a few stairs to go up to get to the hotel which isn't great if you have lots of heavy luggage so I'd recommend packing lightly if possible. Having said that, if you have average fitness, you should be fine getting up and down the stairs, the trek is not too long. The views are definitely worth it! Would stay again for sure.
