"This hotel completely exceeded my expectations. The convenience factor is off the charts, way beyond five stars! Right outside, there's an abundance of food and shops, truly bursting with local flavor. In the mornings, you'll see many people trading caterpillar fungus, often much cheaper than in stores. Evenings bring fresh vegetables and fruits, incredibly fresh, along with local snacks. You absolutely have to try the yogurt! Next door to the hotel is a very clean restaurant. The owner is super nice and will even give you extra noodles for your dish. Their pickled radish is especially delicious. The hotel owner is incredibly warm and welcoming. We booked a standard room, but he upgraded us to a family room – a really spacious one! He also told us about local customs and traditions, which was very kind. And there's a Labrador named Kara, she's absolutely adorable and very friendly!"

"The room was incredibly spacious. The hotel's location is excellent, right next to the city center, and it's just a short walk to Jokhang Temple. The front desk staff were very welcoming and helpful, addressing all our needs. The room was equipped with an oxygen concentrator, which could be used with a nasal cannula or diffuse oxygen, and they thoughtfully provided three cannulas. Complimentary fresh fruit was offered daily. Breakfast was also fantastic and served on the sixth-floor rooftop restaurant, offering stunning panoramic views of the Potala Palace, perfect for watching the sunrise every morning."

"Service: The lady at the front desk was absolutely wonderful. We had booked a twin room, but she proactively upgraded us to a family suite! The room was spacious and decorated with unique ethnic characteristics. Facilities: The facilities are comprehensive, even including a medical oxygen concentrator! They also provide nasal cannulas. Everything you could possibly need is available. Environment: Excellent, and the soundproofing is good! There's also a Nepalese restaurant on the top floor of the hotel that many locals frequent, and hotel guests even get a discount! The hotel's location is also superb; it's only about a ten-minute walk to Jokhang Temple (at a leisurely pace, typical for Lhasa) and very close to the bus stop. There's also a delicious cold noodle shop right next to the hotel downstairs! I would definitely choose this hotel again if I come back to Lhasa!"

"I booked this hotel for a three day stay and had an amazing time. The front desk staff and the third-floor restaurant team were incredibly kind, sweet, polite, and respectful. The food was not only super delicious but also reasonably priced. The bathroom and blankets in the room were all spotlessly clean. It’s absolutely worth a visit – I highly recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Lhasa who’s struggling to pick a place to stay. You won’t regret booking here."

"Our butler, Alan, provided excellent service. The hotel's location is generally good, and some room types even offer views of the Potala Palace. They provide complimentary fruit and yogurt, and there's a turndown service where they make the bed and arrange your shoes. The front desk staff are all very handsome and beautiful, and incredibly friendly. Breakfast was also fantastic. Very satisfied!"

"Looking at the decor, you can tell it must have been beautiful when it was first built, with distinct ******* characteristics. It basically has all the facilities and services a five-star hotel should offer. However, the problem is that after so many years, the facilities are just too old. The cabinet doors don't close properly, the seating cushions are heavily worn, the old-fashioned toilet is very difficult to use, and the glass is foggy – I'm not sure if it's dirty or just aged. I chose a room with a Potala Palace view, but the cloudy glass really spoiled the experience. There were even leftover toenails from previous guests on the carpet, which was quite disgusting. I also have to mention the mini-bar. There were only 6 cans of Coke and Sprite, with no price tags. I assumed they were complimentary, but when I asked, they were 18 yuan each. Seriously, I've stayed in many five-star hotels. If a mini-bar is going to charge, please at least stock it with sparkling water, orange juice, and beer (if not wine or sparkling wine) to look more professional. If you only have these few bottles, either be generous and offer them for free, or just remove them. The current approach feels a bit cheap. Overall, this hotel definitely needs a renovation."

"This was my first time in Lhasa, and when I was booking a hotel, I was immediately drawn to Fanlian's decor. The aromatherapy inside the hotel was very pleasant, and the interior design was exactly my style. Being welcomed with a Hada (******* ceremonial scarf) and hot tea made me feel right at home instantly. The hotel offers many experiential activities like yoga, ******* incense making, and meditation. The room was very comfortable, equipped with a humidifier and diffused oxygen. The warm porridge provided nightly in a thermos was a lovely touch. I've already recommended it to friends planning a trip to Lhasa. Each room also comes with a dedicated butler who is attentive and meticulous, answering any questions promptly. This was a very satisfying stay."

It was my second time in Lhasa, and when it came to selecting accommodation, there was no deliberation – I immediately rebooked this hotel. I already knew this hotel was special; it was formerly the Nepalese Consulate. The moment you step through the doors, you're instantly enveloped in a rich ******* ambiance. The unique ******* architecture and the magnificent statue of King Gesar reveal meticulous attention to detail at every turn. Even a casual snap here turns into a stunning, unedited photo – a 9-photo grid for social media simply isn't enough to capture all its beauty! The guest benefits are consistently thoughtful. Given the high-altitude environment, every room comes fully equipped with an oxygen generator and humidifier, so you don't have to worry about altitude discomfort. The attention to detail extends to practical amenities like wet wipes and disposable toilet seat covers, all readily prepared. The biggest surprise, though, is the complimentary ******* costume experience! Donning a traditional outfit instantly transforms you into a 'Drolma' (******* fairy/girl), creating an amazing atmosphere perfect for breathtaking photos. A special mention must go to the Gesar Japo Museum located within the hotel. It's incredibly worth exploring, accessible to both hotel guests and outside visitors. Every time I visit, I make sure to spend some time there, learning fascinating stories about ******* culture. And the location? Absolutely unbeatable! You can walk to Barkhor Street and Jokhang Temple in just 5 minutes, making sightseeing incredibly convenient and saving a lot of travel time. Oh, and upon check-in, you also receive a voucher for the 3rd-floor cafe! From there, you can directly take photos with the iconic Potala Palace. The view from the window is simply stunning. Sipping coffee while gazing at the Potala Palace in the distance truly magnifies the tranquility and enjoyment of the entire journey."

"Tangka Hotel is directly across from the Jokhang Temple entrance, and there's a shopping mall downstairs! It has everything you need for dining, sightseeing, and shopping. We originally planned to try various hotels, but once we got here, we didn't want to leave. First, let's talk about breakfast. It was delicious. ******* food isn't always particularly suited to Han Chinese tastes, but this hotel's offerings were perfectly suited to our tastes, with some ******* touches. After a leisurely breakfast, we walked downstairs and arrived at the Jokhang Temple security checkpoint. From there, we could explore the surrounding Barkhor Street area! Now, let's talk about shopping. Downstairs, there's a shopping mall where you can buy everything you need, including local specialties. This street is the busiest of all. And how much further is a little further? There's Lhasa, a city that never sleeps. In Lhasa, you can enjoy a snack or a small bar in the evening. Let's talk about the main attractions. In fact, it doesn't take long to walk forward and you can see the night view of the Potala Palace, so it is very comfortable here, which is why we always choose here. There will be pick-up and drop-off services when you come and leave. The stay is also very comfortable and the environment is good. I will book again next time."
