I was able to stay in an authentic cave hotel at a reasonable price. The room was clean, there were amenities provided, and the free water was appreciated. The hair dryer also had a strong airflow. There were plenty of photo spots in the garden, so you could take pictures with the rocks in the background. The breakfast was also delicious, and I was glad to be able to eat vegetables and fruit. Staying at this hotel was a great experience.

We booked this unique cave hotel during our Chinese New Year trip to Turkey to see hot air balloons. Located in the mountains, it was a bit difficult to drive in and the uphill climb was challenging, but the scenery was truly beautiful, especially the night view and the view of the hot air balloons taking off in the early morning. The room was very spacious and even had its own Turkish bath (though we never quite figured out how to use it 😩). The telephone was also quite retro, requiring manual dialing, which was quite interesting. The welcome gifts were generous, including Godiva chocolates, local dried fruits and preserves, and two different toiletries sets (one Bulgari and one a local brand?) that were both very useful. The room was perfectly comfortable, with the temperature just right and the air not too dry. The breakfast on the second day had a local flavor and was quite filling. Before we left, they gave us a small souvenir with the room number on it, a very thoughtful touch.

A truly memorable and fascinating experience! Time here seems to slow down, becoming long and drawn out. Room: Very unique and full of character. Service: The breakfast was incredibly rich and abundant. I even commented that it was 'too much,' and the owner proudly explained it was a traditional Turkish breakfast. There were five or six different types of jam alone – so much thought put into it! Environment: The flowers and decor were meticulously cared for, showing great attention to detail. Overall: Excellent value for money!

Our stay at Simurg Cave House Hotel was the best stay so far in our 12 day road trip around Cappadocia. What made it so special was the staff, and in particular Bursa! Her English was brilliant (our Turkish is nonexistent) and she told us of things to do, places to visit, etc. She really pulled out all the stops to ensure we had a relaxing pleasant stay. She even helped us with our next accommodation stay due to a technical problem we were having. The breakfast was phenomenal and we felt full until dinner. The rooms are beautiful and extremely quiet do we got a great nights sleep. A quiet room is a priority for me! On our arrival at the hotel there was a lot of noisy construction work going on and Bursa dealt with it so we could get some rest after our long journey. It would have been nice if there hadn't been any construction work going on but we understand improvements have to be done sometime! The only thing I'd suggest to the hotel is that they spruce up the rooms when the guests go out for the day. For example, there is a coffee machine in the room but we were never given more coffee or clean cups, and we stayed 3 nights. But other than that, the stay was perfect and we'd definitely return again! And we hope the lovely Bursa is there to greet us. Thanks to everyone at the hotel for everything you did to make our stay so great.

The hotel property is very nice and the staff was exceptional. Except the air in the room was very stale and hot, and we were put right next to the road so it was very noisy and hard to sleep, the roof of the room is made from wood so along with car noise and a bus of people being very loud at 6am then around 7:30 the people upstairs walked on top of our heads for an hour and cars almost shake the room. Also the pool is too cold in May to swim…all in all it is a nice hotel with very polite staff but I recommend asking for a quiet room away from the road and a fan for a decent sleep. Breakfast was very good.

Zimmer war wunderschön mit Hamam 😍 aber Da unser Zimmer ganz unten war hatten wir keinen Netz. WLAN hat ab bestimmter Uhrzeit nicht mehr funktioniert. Warmes Wasser ging 2tage lang nicht nachdem wir es gemeldet haben. Hat sich der Personal sofort darum gekümmert.

An exceptional stay in Cappadocia. The hotel has a beautiful cave aesthetic and the Tepesi Tasli room we stayed in was very spacious and comfortable. We particularly enjoyed the jacuzzi in the room. The rooms are built into the stone so you may have to walk down stairs to get to your room and each room has a semi-private area outside. The service from the staff was exemplary. Water was refilled in the room each day. The heating system was great, especially in late October when we visited. Breakfast each day was a delicious platter of bread, cheeses, jams, olives and a selection of different pastries and fruits. The quality of the ingredients was high. No fresh milk for the coffee. The one downside is the steep descent to the hotel from the main road. Whilst it probably was possible in a small car, we didn't feel confident to try it ourselves so we parked off the main road (free roadside parking available a short walk away from the paid car park at the top). This was a minor inconvenience but not that detrimental.

Cosy and affordable hotel with wonderful hosts, overall decent breakfast (the bread is amazing), and they have turkish coffee here . Some really nice views from the balcony and you can hike up the hill just outside the hotel for a sunrise. On the downside location is a bit remote so you'd have to taxi in and out, a taxi to Goreme centre will cost about 10 Euros one way. Also the room isn't soundproof so hopefully your neigbors aren't noisy but you get some wonderful birds chirping in the morning. Ilhan the manager and Nergis the owner helped us plan our trip even before we arrived, they can help you plan and organize private tours if you want i.e. hot air baloon, underground city, airport transfer or any time you need to book a cab. All the other staff were really down to earth and nice people. We had a wonderful time.

We stayed as a family of four (two adults and two children) and it was spacious and comfortable. They also offer a wide range of room service, which was helpful as we were unable to eat out during our stay due to heavy snowfall. It is also about a 10-minute walk from the center of Goreme, so it is recommended for those who want to enjoy both the city center and the typical scenery of Cappadocia. Breakfast was also delicious.
