"We had a fantastic stay at Paradox Hotel Sydney. The location is excellent — super central and very easy to get to, whether you’re coming in by car or public transport. It’s right near plenty of great bars and restaurants, so there’s always something happening nearby and lots of options within walking distance. The room was very clean and a great size, with plenty of space to relax. Everything felt well maintained and comfortable. The hotel staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. We also made the most of the amenities — the pool and spa were a highlight and a great way to unwind after being out in the city. Overall, we had a really enjoyable stay and would definitely recommend Paradox Hotel Sydney to others looking for a central and comfortable place to stay."

"This hotel is quite old. When I arrived, the hallway was being painted, and the smell of paint was overwhelming. The only good thing is its location; there's a street with many food options not too far away, and a supermarket directly opposite with reasonably priced items. Another room didn't even have a window. It was very hot the day I checked in, and their window AC unit was a bit noisy."

"On the first day of my stay, an Indian guy was at the front desk. I arrived at 1 PM and was told check-in was at 3 PM, which is a standard policy and fine. However, for some reason, they assigned me room 417, a City View Opera House room. As soon as I heard the number, I had a bad feeling, and when I entered the room, I almost cried. The view was completely blocked, and next door was a fire equipment room. I tried to communicate with Ctrip to change rooms, but after an hour and a half, there was no progress. I went to the lobby myself to sort it out and luckily found Marco, a Chinese customer service manager. Thank goodness! Not only was communication seamless, but he also patiently helped me secure a higher-floor city view room for the next day. Even though it cost a little extra, I gladly accepted. This was my second time staying at the Shangri-La Sydney. My first stay was perfect, so I didn't expect to encounter so many unexpected issues this time. Thankfully, Marco resolved everything. After the first day, I thought I'd never stay at the Shangri-La again, but Marco's help truly compensated for the disappointment. Plus, I ordered room service four or five times, and the food was delicious! 👍 I specifically wrote this lengthy review for future Chinese guests staying at the Shangri-La; their entire Chinese team at the hotel is superb, so feel free to communicate with them!"

"Wonderful family trip staying at the Darling at the Star! Location is good, very close to Fish Market, nice atmosphere with cozy cafes & restaurants at close vicinity (and a large Coles too!) Stunning view of the Darling Harbour. Room is neat & spacious. Staff were extremely helpful, especially credits to a Front Desk Staff named Tristan settling my room arrangement & bill issue very efficiently. Highly recommend this hotel!"

"Hilton Sydney shines when it comes to location—it is perfectly central, making shopping, dining, and transit incredibly convenient. However, the rest of the stay didn't quite live up to the Hilton brand reputation. The indoor swimming pool feels very dated, small, and lacking the inviting atmosphere you’d expect from a premium hotel. Furthermore, the daily breakfast buffet was a major letdown; it lacked variety and served the exact same options every single morning, making it quite repetitive. While the service was pleasant, the aging amenities and uninspired dining left us feeling rather disappointed. Excellent base for exploring, but needs a refresh."

"It was very quiet, and the room was quite spacious. Disposable toiletries aren't provided in many countries, which is more eco-friendly. Perhaps because there weren't many people, it didn't feel noisy. When we checked in, they even gave my child a DIY craft kit, haha. Hot water was only available at the bar, but it wasn't very convenient because it was from a coffee machine setup, not a water dispenser, so I felt a bit awkward going there repeatedly. The hotel is incredibly close to the subway station, which was the main reason I booked it. Overall, my stay was quite good."

"The room is nice, the shower is hot, Wi-Fi, and the front desk service is good. The key is that the front desk staff can speak Chinese and provide a lot of help. It is close to the bus and light rail. The overall cost-effectiveness is high and suitable for ordinary travel"

"We stayed in a 2-bedroom apartment on the 11th floor for 10 nights. The view was great, and the apartment had excellent natural light. Both bathrooms were spacious, and one even had a bathtub. The kitchen was fully equipped, making it very convenient for cooking, and the island counter was particularly useful. There's also a washing machine with a dryer function. Cleaning service was provided daily, but one morning, around 10 AM, while we were still asleep, a cleaner actually entered our apartment and even opened my bedroom door. This is something that definitely needs improvement. On the other hand, the front desk service was excellent. We arrived in Sydney on an early flight, and they were able to arrange an early check-in for us, which we truly appreciated! The location is very close to Chinatown, and it's easy to catch a bus to any attraction. The only minor downside is that the supermarket for groceries is a bit further away, though still less than a 10-minute walk."

"The room is very spacious and has a bathtub. The structure was a bit unique, so it was interesting and fun. Because it is a city, there is often noise in the early morning. People who are sensitive to sleep should be careful because the warning sound keeps coming from outside for about 10 minutes in the early morning and then stops. I am satisfied with everything! :))"

"The shower was to high for me as I have a disability with my knees and my hips. I can’t lift my legs that high to get up into the shower. I was in room 1637. So I could not have a shower."
