GGuest UserGorgeous lobby and spacious room decorated in an elegant classic style. My partner celebrated his birthday during our 5 night stay but didn't receive anything from the hotel - in other 5 star hotels of this calibre all around the world, reception staff would have paid attention to this detail when they photocopied our passports at the point of checking in. That was a tad disappointing. However, special mention must be made of Wang Fei (王飞）at the concierge/porter division on the ground floor - he was extremely helpful and congenial, and a true asset to the hotel.

The martial arts exhibitions, including a nightly Kung Fu show that outshone the one at Shaolin Temple, were a highlight, immersing guests in the local culture. The rooms were spacious, clean, and beautifully appointed with antique-style furniture, creating a museum-like atmosphere that felt both luxurious and authentic. The vegetarian restaurant offered tasty, culturally significant dishes, though the breakfast buffet lacked Western options and the coffee could use improvement. The location is ideal, just 9 km from Shaolin Temple and close to other attractions like Songyang Academy, making it perfect for exploring Dengfeng’s cultural landmarks. As for the receptionist, Miss 李, she was exceptional. Her warm, friendly demeanor and proactive assistance stood out, as she helped with everything from organizing transportation to answering queries with a smile. Reviews consistently praise the front desk staff, and Miss 李 embodied the hotel’s “customer first” philosophy, making our stay feel personalized and welcoming. The facilities were complete and convenient, the air conditioning worked very well, there were plenty of restaurants nearby, and the hotel was very clean with no unpleasant odors. The environment was elegant and upscale, and the service was excellent. For such a low price, they even included free airport shuttle service. It was truly a very cost-effective stay, and I will definitely stay here again.
